Garden Insects of North America by Whitney Cranshaw. Rodale's Garden insect, disease & weed identification guide. Also The texas bug book by Howard Garrett. You might also check out Rodale's organic gardening encyclopedia. You might check Amazon or Ebay for physical copies. I know the Texas bug book has Texas in the name but it does give a pretty good variety of bugs you might deal with anywhere

you got me looking now. Just found a really good one. Rodale's color handbook of Garden insects by Anna Carr. Has color pictures of each insect and also a description about them. I'll keep posting as I find them in the library here. Not sure if there is a one book to cover all. You might have to get several different ones

Check with your local extension, it's what we did, they typically have book recommendations for your state/region and sometimes even have them for sale.
