Saved, to glorify God.
I've been checking into alcohol stoves like trangia.
1.The problem is if you get the cheap, wrong kind of alcohol
The stove will put a yellow flame when lit, and put a thick layer of soot on any
pan or cup heated on it. OR on anything hung over it to dry out!
2.the more expensive alcohol ($35-$45 a gallon + shipping) fuels that don't get everything sooty because they burn with a blue flame.
3.Well everybody in the past bought Yellow bottle HEET as cheaper stove fuel at the Auto parts stores and walmart.
4.But, They changed the formulation of Yellow bottle HEET since the pandemic! It now burns a yellow flame and soots up your cookware but not as bad as 90% alcohol or other fuels. $1.25 HEET!
Buy the dollar store generic HEET for $1.25 a quart,
It still burns a blue, clean flame and no soot!
