Looks like a peeping tom's dream spot. Meh, out in bear country you take your chances. Around here you are a fool to go anywhere outside of town's without some kind of protection. Even around the camping areas in National Parks. I always had my 40 under my pillow and a can of bear spray close by.I don’t know the location of this “hotel room.” On the one hand, I absolutely love it. OTOH, with the increased bear presence near humans and their sheer power, I’m thinking that glass walls are just “displaying the entree” so to speak.

You forgot “and an excess of body hair.”And the most commonly known "bear" is a big burly gay man with a beard and a preference for flannel shirts, jeans and work boots. They typically have an otter with them... See Andy Hill on YT for a better idea of what an otter is.
Donuts are sure-fire bear bait around here, but you can't use them during hunting season. So pre-season buy a dozen and put the out in front of your stand every day to train the bear to come to that spot.A guy I worked with, would go up to Minnesota to bear hunt with his in-laws. He came back to work onetime with a VCR tape of him sitting in his tree stand with the camera strapped to the tree above his head. It recorded a small clearing in the brush below him. He said that on the way to hunt that morning, they had stopped for a dozen donuts. There was a few left over, and he placed them in the middle of the clearing. In the video, you hear some crunching of the brush, and then a big black bear appears.
It walks up to sniff the donuts, and sits down on his rump. It picks up a donut with both paws, and starts munching on it. At that point, the bear stands up, and my coworker let's a arrow fly, hitting it square in the side of the chest. The bear leaps 5 foot in the air, clearing the brush in front of him.
The video picks up with them cautiously looking through the thick brush for the bear in the dark, where they found it dead. You could tell they were kind if spooked while doing it with flashlights.

Everything I’ve read suggests that bear meat is stringy and greasy.
Ya - they will come in for sweet stuff like bakery pastry. Here also, spotty, undersized apples, outdated candy and breakfast cereal, dry dog food, restaurant grease. It's a mess, and hunters are supposed to clean up the woods after themselves. I really don't like the general idea of baiting a game animal, but the bears need to be drawn in and harvested or they become overpopulated/problems.Left over donuts and pastries are the usual bait in Canada. Got bears here in east TN. I’m not woods walking without a stout .44 Spec. or .44 Magnum. Got wild pigs too. I’m sure the risk isn’t much, but best to be ready.
