Glad to hear I'm in good company. I'm not a drinker but have been needing some extra herbal stress relief.

Was doing pretty well with a healthy 90% vegetarian and low carb diet... that went out the window when the lockdown started. A few extra lbs = good insurance for food shortages.

I'm very fortunate to have my kids to keep me distracted. When we do watch tv it's kid friendly stuff. Trolls world tour is playing now. Good stuff, though I probably won't be saying that after we watch it 20 more times. :eye:

There are just some things you do not put in good fine black coffee to ruin the flavor.
Okay, here we go. What exactly, is “fine coffee” in your opinion? In my coffee drinking days, I discovered that there is only ONE “fine coffee”, and that’s pure Kona. It’s the only coffee I’ve ever had that isn’t bitter, and doesn’t leave a nasty aftertaste. All the rest is just “hot roasted bean juice.”

I suspect I'm not the only one that had to put a daily limit of my time reading TB and other news sites.

I'm a news junkie, but the craziness has gotten just too overwhelming.
Sportsman, I’ve been a news junkie since I was a kid. I remember being 10 years old, sitting cross legged in front of the tv watching the Kennedy Nixon debate .

LOL! I had pizza for supper, and for dessert, I had Reese's Peanut Butter cups, then later, I had an Ice cream Snickers Bar! That was the only things I ate yesterday. Of course, I had a whole pot of coffee first thing, but with nothing added. That may change.......Yeah, I'm on a roll with healthy eating, too.
I like Reese’s cups, but my dad has been ordering Mallow Cups lately. They aren’t sold in stores around here (AZ) so he gets a case of them from the factory store in Pennsylvania. I remember them as his candy if choice when I was a kid in Ohio, then they disappeared.

He always loads me up with a supply when I am over there to visit. So, yea, a rich dessert, or, at times a side dish with dinner!

Creamer is for when you are out of Kona.

I buy Costa Rican green beans by the sack from the Tazzuria Volcanic area. I roast my own at high altitude in the Southern Rockies. The high altitude roast allows the bean to release the gases at lower temperature allowing more caffeine to remain in the bean. Very smooth and very potent coffee. Kona is swill after you try a high altitude roast. Yes my roaster is solar powered and my beans are gluten free non GMO. The only problem I have is I keep getting a vet bill for a mule owned by some guy named Juan.

Ya, not a drinker either, but I started baking that first week in solitary confinement, and did a # on my system.
..best thing I've found, other than prayer, for stress is physical movement: Thus far I've managed to break my step aerobic platform (it was 30+ yo tho!) but even walking in the house, or running in place after each RR break can burn off the physical damage. My dr used to laugh at my self care program, but is slowly coming to admit it's efficacy :jstr:

Hey the thing's been with me for over 30 years, surely it was age that did it in, and not that last loaf of Italian sourdough dripping in warm homemade strawberry jam : )
(and I officially lost all my baby bread weight Tuesday or Wednesday :: makes sign of cross :: )
Suuuuurrrrrrre. You bet. I believe every word..... /snark

I can send you the broken foot and let you fix it for me, and in the process you can do that engineer brain INTJZ thing and confirm that model hasn't been made for decades :P
.. I see today's models are running 100 bucks, so guess I'll have to drag some tree trunks into house or something, coz I'm certainly too cheap to pay that!..

Speaking of Mallow Cups -- you haven't lived til you've had hot chocolate with a Mallow Cup in it instead of marshmallows! I'm sure you don't drink hot chocolate in Arizona, but if you find yourself in cold weather, give it a try!

After reading all of this I don't feel so bad about turning into a wine-o. I think I might be getting close to checking out the bomb shelter soon but don't know if I want to go there.

I'll start drinking if it would help. I've tried walking, being outside, not a big eater so that's out. So far not much has helped. I know I'm slipping. At least I know and that's a start.

Heeeyy, that sounds good! I’ll have to wait for winter for that tho; today’s high is 116 with 20% humidity. But come winter time, when it’s down to 50 or so, that will be a decedent treat :p
