On YouTube I have never posted any videos. I have made numerous comments on videos that were assuredly not woke, leftist, anti-white, anti-christian, pro-vaxx, pro-homo, pro-lawlessness.

Unable to sign in today. Looks like the AI program is scouring the comments sections and rather than just make my comments invisible to everyone else- which I have noticed over the years, they decided to block me entirely. You know you are hitting on something when they decide to silence you.

I tried for THREE HOURS to sign in last night. I kept getting redirected to more two tier authorization that NEVER got me in. I gave up.

Interesting.

Just tried again.

I can log in but as soon as I try to go to my "creator studio" it blocks me and wants me to "go to my Galaxy" and do something to it. I don't have a galaxy. I dont do YT on cells or tablets anyway.

I try to "use another method" and do that and then ghoulggle gives me the complete runaround after following all the steps.

See my post in the bomb shelter. This might not be connected, but it could be at least to the second problem if not the original one (that could be you just got banned en mass because the AI hates your search history or something). I watch many "alternative" videos that are still on YouTube, and I have wondered if this would happen someday. I tec hnically have a channel, but I checked it yesterday, and they had taken down my ancient (like 15 years) 1 minute video of my late Main Coon trying to catch leaves blowing outside the window in the fall. It was poor quality and may not have been playable anymore or something.

I almost posted my issue in your thread last night but refrained.

OK, that third post makes it sound like a new special second sign-in issue for people with channels, it might not have reached Europe yet.

I block location and I block history, ALWAYS, and that little box on the right..it changed language after the first go round.

It had a cancel tab or a "no thanks" and within a few minutes..this edit appeared..and appears to not give you the option.
I did not take a screen of the prior pop up that had "no thanks" on it.
and when I was desperate enough to try to link it to a tablet for verification through google app, it would not allow me to do anything at all unless I gave it my phone number so I guess I am shit outta luck.

Some of the things sound similar to what happens when someone (foreign) steals you password and tries to take over your account. You might look into things a little further from this perspective and see if this might be the case.
No. All the security log in warnings from goog and icloud are from my log in attempts.

My log-in attempts did not even get to the point of allowing a password. My account is inaccessible.

They know what your search history is regardless of that toggle being on or off. Your computer keeps track of where you've been. YT already tracks all of the hits that a vid gets. Why anyone is getting hung up on whether you toggle that particular button I don't understand. The data and info is already stored.

Do you use a gmail/google account to log into YouTube, if so can you log into that gmail account?

Yes! They mine the data. Their pushing of the vaxx and snuffing of any dissent to the vaxx tells me all I need to know. Probably my final straw was when a guy posted a video against some conservative who was not pro-homo, I asked him if he was a homo & was he proud of his perverted activities.

Yep, just like HIPAA...the only entities it stops from seeing your personal medical info is you and your family!

A tech guy that I have taken my 'puters to for over a decade is hypothesizing that with everyone dumping their streaming services and cable so they can buy food, it is possible that YT is really seeing a lot more traffic in some areas than they have in the past.

It is a shockingly good source of free entertainment. The things some people put out are wildly ahead of what the networks are doing. Plus it's a great place to find the old stuff no one else will handle. One guy's got an entire block of Hee Haw episodes.

Throw in the writers' strike that's turned television into a graveyard and you've got a recipe for YouTube blowing up.

I find a lot of "how to" videos that are helpful.

How-to videos, news content--how many times a day do we post something from Economic Ninja, Greg Hunter, or Epic Economist?--and the like all join the entertainment pool. One of the few places you can get a precis on dividend investing and then go watch two hours of Jerry O'Connell mid-1990s superhero show "My Secret Identity."

I used it to find a show my dad hadn't seen when he was a kid; George Carlin as Al Sleet, the Hippy Dippy Weatherman.

YT changed their rules last month due to some EU ruling, this is causing all sorts of problems. My cousins in canada are complaining that they cannot see certain YT videos anymore, since that content has been banned there. All sorts of stuff going on, in the end this BS will hurt YT and big time when it comes to ad revenue.

I suggest if you find something on YT that you want to watch again or for future reference that you learn to download to an external hard drive that you keep offline.

This^^^. My cousin that lives in Nova Scotia is. pissed because there's a hurricane bearing down on her local here this week and the weather channels that are discussing the hurricane are banned, because the channel owners are deemed climate change deniers by YT.

Tall order. There's a lot to preserve there. That and aren't there copyright issues involved?

If they put it out for free, and you aren't showing it to others for a fee, I think you are covered. I could be wrong. People need to do their due diligence. But personal use is different than giving it to other people or selling it.

Probably one of those felonies you only hear about when someone wants to go after you.

As for "due diligence," unless you're a lawyer, fergit it. You're NEVER going to be able to penetrate that morass of legalese and weasel-speak. Trust me; better than us have tried and failed.

UPDATE- they lifted my ban. I was thinking, they can't track me if they shut off their window on my activities... and shazzammm.... suddenly the window is open.
