Autumm chores

DH and I were out mowing, mulching and gathering the leaves for the compost bin today. The autumn tree colors are AMAZING this year. We both marveled over the array of colors. We've had good moisture this year for the autumn colors and they are just beautiful. Topped off the compost bin with the last cutting from the lawn along with piles of autumn leaves. This stuff will be pure gold in the spring when we till it into the garden. We had beautiful temperatures today to get our chores done. 70 degrees with mild winds. It's unusual not to have gail force winds whipping our leaves away as soon as we gather them.

I just couldn't get over how beautiful everything looks this fall. We just had to pause and rejoice!

Sounds like you guys accomplished a LOT! It was a lovely day here also. If I could have asked for better I'm not sure what I would have asked for. Thanks for sharing your day.

We are supposed to have a great day here also! I have several chores to do today, including installing the mouse guards on my bee hives.

Most of our leaves have fallen off of the trees with the first frost, then heavy winds. The trees lined up along the river have dropped over 60% of their leaves.
