We have dish and downgraded to just Local Channels. They just started that feature. It is a total of 13.00 a month and that includes the tax. I get 4 local channels, pbs, c-span, lots of religious shows, qvc type shows, some old tv land station and free feature shows they offer for a few days every month. Plus we have loads of apps we have downloaded on our smart tv and fire stick. Oann is 4.99 a month. We love the savings and watch what we want.
Dish just started the cheap local feature so have to call and ask to change if you have dish. Well worth it.
You can probably get more channels for free over the air with a good out door antenna. We pull in stations from 80 miles away pretty easy.

Anyone miss they days when receiving broadcasting over airwaves was free as the FAA declared them to be public domain?

Remember UHF channels from TV antenna reception? .............oh you didn't believe in flying saucers either?

We went with Roku and dropped Spectrum Cable TV for non-sports Sling. That saved a ton of money, but the only time I ever watched the news channels were during the riots last summer. After they stopped carrying the life riot footage that was still ongoing in places like Portland and sporadic in other cities, I stopped watching. Dropped Sling for the even cheaper Philo. Only really have Philo for a few shows, but wife gets a lot of her Hallmark channels that she likes. We also pay for Netflix. Eventually I might purchase the CBS app for the StarTrek shows, NCIS, and watch the last episode or two of the Big Ban Theory that I missed.

More and more I find I'd rather do other things than TV. Internet forums, go out to parks/hiking, road trips, work around the house, etc..
