FOOD Army Posts 'Nutrition Across Lifespan' Fraud

How far will the powers that be go to lie to you? In what would be considered a classic case of "Bait and Switch" the Army presents a nutrition guide for stupid people. The post includes the latest "nutrition" photograph released on the US Army's website. What does the US Army believe is nutritious?

Look carefully at this ladies cart. She has:

Dream Cream: Artificial Creamer with CHEMICALS TO KILL instead of REAL MILK or Cream

Processed Corn Corns with CHEMICALS TO KILL instead of REAL CORN

Processed Cereal (Name hidden to hide the deception) with CHEMICALS TO KILL instead of REAL CEREAL

Processed Canned Soup with CHEMICALS TO KILL instead of REAL HOMEMADE SOUP

Artificial Juice-Like Drink in her hand, with CHEMICALS TO KILL, instead of REAL JUICE

Looks to be 7-Up Soda and a few other processed items that cannot be considered food as they are not food, nutritious and contain, let's hear it, with CHEMICALS TO KILL!

Whose is the idiot here? This lady won't be smiling as she is dying...but the Army doesn't show you that picture.

From the trenches,

Celeste

Wow, no kidding Celeste!

Her cart is fulled with nothing but crap! Everything is artificial! How can people's bodies function on food like that? I also think I see the orange edge of a box of frozen mac and cheese in the cart too. V

And she does one lousy job of filling the cart. I bet there's some bread on the bottom, and she bought refrigerated stuff first.

Artificial chemicals made to look like food aren't food. People think because it looks like food that it is food.

Years ago I was shopping and I saw a cream horn. It is pastry with cream inside, horn shaped. Because of my fond memories as a youth growing up eating them on occasion despite reading the label where everything was artificial I bought 4 (in a container) for $8. When I got home the joke was on me. There was a dab of cream on the end and inside was the pastry horn it was all air!

I learned my lesson. If I don't make it myself and grow most all my supplies I won't eat it. Makes for a bit of work, but at least it is food.

God only knows what is in all that processed food!

It seems processed food is the real culprit leading to heart disease, not fat. Low fat diets contribute to brain disorders like Alzheimer's by denying the brain what it is - cholesterol. Processed foods set up inflammation in the body and the plaque is what results. Funny thing is when you try to tell someone this, they immediately, without investigating it, say "you're wrong!" But this is new research coming out now and is encouraging because it makes sense 'cause we know the low-fat fad is not that successful. And look at the rise in "Alzheimer's" disease.

I have an interesting story on that. I make soap and lotions from scratch. I also give classes. My students do not know each other. When I do a lotion and cream class at the end of it all the students begin rubbing the cream all over their faces and their arms, whatever is exposed at the time. I got thinking early on people are fat deprived! It happens every time and these lotions and creams are made with real butters and vegetable fats.

You are right on!!!!

Nutritionally dense whole foods are what our bodies, through eons of natural selection'; is required for optimal health.......

Today's accepted Western diet is so far divorced from the essentials of optimal nutrition I'm surprised that things aren't worse than they currently are with the health of humans in developed societies............

This is the newest scientific findings. Inflamation from eating too many carbs. The process is called glycation and serves to produce rough areas in your arteries that begin to act a clogging points for the normal cholesterol that circulates in your body. Your arteries get clogged, you have a heart attack and everyone blames the fat in your diet which is totally wrong. Google glycation damage.

Yes, Yes, Yes to all these posts. IMO, the more these ideas get discussed, the better. I know a lot of people get tired of hearing it, or don't want to hear, but processed food is not real food and is very harmful to us.

BTW, I love to look at people's carts when I shop, and this type of thing is usually what I see.

I used to have migraines - cluster headaches. The fond name is suicide headaches - because that is the only way to get rid of em. Doc gave me three choices of pain meds - one ruins your heart, one ruins your liver, the other ruins something else you can't live without. The common property is that none of em work - but al least after a few years, you fianlly have something the doc can treat.
I did my own research and came up with my own diagnosis and treatment.
I made fresh chicken noodle soup and home made bread. Every Sunday morning. Soup and bread.
Every day of the week - breakfast - oatmeal;lunch sandwich; dinner soup.
for 2 years - 365 days of the year exactly the same - no processed food.
I had the migraines for 10 years - have not had one in over 2
(and yea, I am boring)

Pretty much the same thing here. Went from2 to 4 head aches a day to not even one in near 10 years now. Not the same diet but basically quit eating processed food and eat mostly raw natural foods.

2/3 of Americans are overweight
1/2 of those are considered obese
1/2 of Americans are on blood pressure medication
1/4 of Americans are on statin drugs

These are statistics I have read recently; may or may not be completely accurate. I believe a huge contributor to these issues is the "food" that is made available to us these days.

Just a word on inflammation. Powdered Vitamin C is (by far) the best anti-inflammatory substance known to man, and it's natural. I routinely consume 5 grams per day (1 teaspoon).

I used to get atypical migraines (bilateral) too, but the cause of mine was soy. Stopped ingesting that and stopped the migraines stat - circa fourteen years ago.

Gotta chime in here...I've been on the "HCG diet" for a few months now. I've lost 32 pounds so far. The diet starts out very low calorie and very low carb for several weeks, then you gradually start adding "regular" foods back in while maintaining your loss. So for 6 weeks (for me) I was eating no processed foods, good fats, fresh fruits and veggies, and some meats/fish. Felt great.

In these last few weeks of adding other foods back in, I can tell physically when I eat some processed food that it's NOT good for me! Major headaches, bloating, heartburn/indigestion, etc. So I find myself going back to the foods in the more restricted phase, and just eating more of it to maintain my loss.

Low Carb, high(er) fat and no processed foods for me!
