PREP Are the Sheeple Waking Up?

I'm leaving off groceries and we're eating preps and ramen for two weeks so we can buy another gun. A rifle and a shotgun aren't much good if you're caught in a flash mob/race riot, I want a handgun!
Fortunately in Georgia you can keep a gun in your glove compartment even without a permit. I just don't have $80 X 2 for permits for DH and I.
Are revolvers good? I know they don't jam, so I thought that would be best. I learned to shoot with a revolver. I think they're cheaper, too, I can't go over $400.

OGM, I know what you mean about the Trader Joe's stuff disappearing, I LOVE their frozen fire roasted corn, and last time they didn't have it, I was so upset! There wasn't even a tag where it used to be, so I think they quit selling it.
I don't bother to complain because it's a really long drive to get there, and I only get to go about twice a year. I load up when I do, though!
The cat food was fairly recent, I've still got the can, I may take that back and show them if I get to go anytime soon. Unless it starts leaking, ugh!
The alfredo sauce was all bought at the same time, I figure it was a bad batch or something. It definitely made me mistrustful of their canning, though!

Revolvers are good if you can live with the lesser capacity (5-6 rounds). They pretty much never jam, and as an added benefit, they don't eject the casings (with your fingerprints on them) when you fire. $400 will but a nice used S&W .38 spl +p rated w/2" barrel. I know, cuz I almost bought one over the weekend. It was $400 even. Nice fit to the hand as well.

But you can get the same gun I just got, the Bersa Thunder .380, for about $300 each. Cheaper if you shop around. And the reviews are 100% positive in every way. And EVERYONE I spoke to on Saturday who had shot that little gun absolutely loved it. If you haven't read it yet, I posted a thread on my gun search over the weekend. I believe it's still on page one or two of Main.

That sounds good, it will even leave some money for ammo. Thank you!

Saved, to glorify God.
I just made a run to Costco and I purposely studied what everyone was buying and ONLY ONE PERSON, out of at least a hundred or two shoppers, a guy in his thirties with a toddler in the basket was "stocking up". I said "FINALLY, someone who isn't CLUELESS" to him and he just grinned back.

A lot of the ones I know are!
I spent time on the phone yesterday with an old friend. She started talking about how her sister in AL is buying up stuff and then mentioned she is too, now. And then the subject of guns came up............when's the last time you practiced and what do you use( of course I am dumber than a box of rocks) and then she said.....

"What is this country coming to when a couple old broads like us are talking about guns and survival"

Oh yeah, folks are mad........even my 80 yr old Mom is furious!

People are angry around here and it shows when you have to spend time in public..anybody mentions the gov't and everyone starts hollering.
