Normal spring with some cool, some warm, some rain, some sun. The leaves on the birches and willows opened right on track today....it’s so nice to finally see green up!

Much colder here. We are still having frost advisories overnight. They keep predicting that we will get warmer, even up in the high 70's but does not happen. Spring is just not happening.

Totally normal here in Upstate NY. Today was mid 50's (we started digging the garden today - can't plant for another week or two). Tomorrow in the 40's.

I don't know the statistics but it's been cool here in North Alabama. May was usually hot in Alabama back in the 80's and 90's.

Usually they are 10 degrees higher in my area by now. Only averaging in the high 60s.
Maunder minimum kicking it into gear?

Same. Way cooler than normal. In fact it was 38 degrees yesterday morning. Central Mo.

Yesterday was our first 100-degree day here in the Phoenix metro area.

Today--High 100F, low 68F
Friday--97F, 65F
Saturday--93F, 66F

Normal for this time of year is 92F-67F, according to AccuWeather. So. Phoenix is running a little warm, but not by much. Last summer was the hottest on record here, and we had virtually no rain. I estimate that about 10% of the landscaping plants in my neighborhood succumbed to the heat.

Temps in the dc area are averaging 15-20 colder in the mornings than a week ago. This is going to last at least through Sunday.

It was a beautiful sunny day here. Low humidity and pleasant. I managed to get ¾ of my grass cut before rain moves in over the weekend. Just my small front patch left. I’m exhausted.

It's been 5-10 degrees cooler than normal on the Cumberland Plateau in middle Tennessee. It was 41 here this morning, only warmed up to 63 today, and typically by now we're in the 70's. It's been this way since March. We've had a few warm days, but the majority have been cooler than normal, and the extended forecast is cooler than normal.

Saturday 88/64
Sunday 88/61

Next week back to the upper 90's which usually means triple digits

Not quite sure about the temps in my area being off but the leaves are opening around 3 weeks early. I just got my garden seed order delivered so I can start planting and I'm in WNY.

I live in Ohio. There is no such thing as normal and weather or temperatures. And anyone who says that, here there is normal is a moron or someone who hasn’t lived here very long.

The lower then normal temps here in n.ga are screwing up my normal gardening plans as I usually plant at the beginning of may and the government is projecting that we'll get overnight temps in the mid 40's at the end of NEXT week. I am risking planting the tomatos and squash but I am holding back the herbs and sweet potatos for another couple of weeks. And the sweet potato slips really need to go into the ground. Also holding back planting the beans as I don't want to risk the seeds rotting in the ground.

It will be interesting to see when the commerical guys plant their corn fields

Yeah, I am happy I went with a container garden this year. It's a PITA hauling everything inside but beats losing stuff. My baby chicks are fully feathered but I still don't want to put them outside yet.

Lower here in hillbilly Appalachia. Trying to spread fertilizer today.
Don't know what to call today's precip. Hail or frozen sleet. About 43 degrees
The ground was almost covered but it melted quickly.

Most of us have lived long enough to realize that ‘normal’ isn’t always normal.
One year in St Paul it was 80°+ the first weekend in May. The next year it was 20°. Late 80's. In 1973 April 9 we had a 12" snow closing down the whole state of Iowa. This year we had a few days of 75-80°. Now a couple of weeks of highs in the mid 60's.

Iowa is the prairie. Normal has a wide variance. It keeps life interesting.

We have a freeze warning for Tuesday night. Last frost is usually around May 15, so I would say we're running about right - although I think it feels either too hot or too cold!

It seems to have been a cool spring where I live, but am up on the mountains. We have had a little warm weather though, but mostly cool and windy weather with one storm front after another.

Have heard that along with the cooler weather, it seems the spring bird migration is being delayed a little also. The birds go by how the weather actually is and not what the yahoos say it is doing.

We've had a few warm and a few hot days here in West Virginia (70s and 80s) and we had 43F this morning for an over night low. Right now we're at 63F.

Well yesterday we only got up to 55F for a high and last night it went down to 35F I was thinking about starting the wood stove. Wife turned on the heat pump this morning around 6:30Am and it ran for three hours.
