(Many have been requesting the "Anti-Plague Formula". Here's one recipe, if you want to make it. You could call health food store to see if they sell something like it. I do not claim this will prevent anyone from getting sick. This is for your entertainment and educational purposes only!)

Anti-Plague Formula

DO NOT USE ALUMINUM, TEFLON, OR CRACKED PORCELAIN. Glass, corning-ware, stainless steel or whole porcelain are best.

Recommended Dosage: 1 tsp three times a day, or 1 Tbsp every ½ hour if infected.

As you will notice, in this formula there is a goodly amount of garlic juice. An 8-oz measure of pure juice mixed in with the other wonderful healing herb is a “power-house!” An easy way to make the garlic juice is to peel cloves of garlic, add to ½ of the vinegar, blend, then strain and add to the rest of the vinegar.

Mix well the following liquid ingredients:

8 parts apple cider vinegar
5 parts glycerine U.S.P.
5 parts honey
2 parts garlic juice, fresh
2 parts comfrey root concentrate
1 part wormwood concentrate
1 part lobelia leaf and/or seed concentrate
1 part marshmallow root concentrate
1 part oak bark concentrate
1 part black walnut bark concentrate
1 part mullein leaf concentrate
1 part skullcap leaf concentrate
1 part uva ursi, hydrangea, or gravel root concentrate

To make Concentrate:
Each concentrate should be made individually. Start by soaking the herb for four hours or more in enough distilled water to cover it completely. After soaking, add more distilled water so that the total added equals 16 oz. (.5 liter) water per 4 oz (113 grams) herb. Using these amount, approximately one gallon (3.75 liters) of the formula will be produced. Use a multiple of these amounts for a larger quantity of the formula.

After adding the appropriate amount of distilled water to the soaked herb, simmer the herb on very low heat in a covered pan or double boiler for thirty minutes. Then strain the liquid into a clean pan. Put the liquid into a double boiler or on very low heat (uncovered) and simmer (steam) it down to one-fourth of the original volume (4 oz, 125 ml). Only after all ingredients have been prepared should the liquids be mixed.

Recipe for Garlic Oil
Put 1 cup of garlic cloves, peeled, and 1 cup of olive oil in a blender. Turn on slow and just barely blend. Pour into a quart jar and set in window, so the sun can “age” it for 10 to 14 days, according to the strength of the garlic, and shake daily. When oil separates from the pulp, pour the oil off into a bottle and keep in the refrigerator. The oil is good for many purposes and the pulp for garlic bread, soups, etc.

Many people have found great benefit using garlic oil for problems such as earache, using it externally to help draw toxins out of the body, and taking it internally to kill infection, just to mention a few medicinal uses. You can also use the oil for cooking and on salads.

Garlic Equivalents
When replacing fresh garlic with substitutes:
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder, instant minced garlic or garlic chips equal one average-size clove of fresh garlic.
½ teaspoon of garlic salt equals one average-size clove of fresh garlic.

Thank you! I hate garlic (I know, I know...it's good for you) but in this extreme case I think I would be willing to ingest it ;)

It took me ALLLLL day today and some cranky grumbles from hubby, but I got the Anti-Plague formula made!

Whew! That was easy but very time consuming.

A few things I learned making this:

If you follow the recipe, it really does make a full gallon.

I bought 4 ounces of each herb, except Comfrey ROOT, which you order 8 ounces.

IF You have a juicer, it took me 1 1/2 pounds of peeled garlic to equal 8 ounces of garlic juice.

When you add garlic juice to vinegar, it will turn the liquid greenish blue. I'm told that's safe and normal.

Some of the herbs soak up all the distilled water, so you have to add more when you put it on the stove to simmer. Know what happens if you don't? Smoky house and burned up herbs. (Luckilly I had accidentally ordered extra of the one I burned!)

One of the herbs (no idea which) turns to snot. I had a hard time getting the liquid from it-- it was just like a slimy snot.

I learned I don't have enough pots. Had to make two at a time, which took me a long time.
And I learned that the SMELLS are bad from making this. OOOOH, so bad. Had to open windows, and have spent the last 2 hours simmering potpourri on the stove to try to get rid of the smell that's lingering in the house.

When you're making it, It smells like a steaming compost heap covered in garlic and vinegar when you're making it. LOL-- that's my son's description when he walked in the house..

I took a taste as I was putting it in jars. Not too horrible. Not great, but not the worst ever either. But it's now in several jars, ready for me to glue doseage labels on and put away until needed. :D

And based on the smells, I'm praying it will never be needed!

Oh, and I used this recipe:

Dr. Christopher’s Anti-Plague Formula

Cleanse & Nourish So Your Body Can Heal

For 1 gallon of formula, mix the following liquid ingredients:

32 oz. apple cider vinegar
20 oz. vegetable glycerin
20 oz. honey
8 oz. garlic juice (made from approx. 8lbs of fresh raw organic garlic)
8 oz. comfrey root concentrate
4 oz. wormwood concentrate
4 oz. lobelia leaf concentrate
4 oz. marshmallow root concentrate
4 oz. oak bark concentrate
4 oz. black walnut bark concentrate
4 oz. mullein leaf concentrate
4 oz. skullcap leaf concentrate
4 oz. uva ursi, hydrangea or gravel root concentrate
3 gallons of distilled water (soak herbs in)

To make concentrate:

Each concentrate should be made individually. Start by soaking 4 ounces of each herb in enough distilled water to cover it, for four hours, over night if it is a root. After soaking, add more distilled water so that the total added equals 16 oz. water per 4 oz. of herb (use multiple of these amounts for larger batches). Using this amount will make approx. 120 ounces or one gallon of Anti-Plague Formula.

Simmer the herb on very low heat in a covered pan or double boiler for thirty minutes. Then strain the liquid into a clean pan. Put the liquid into a double boiler or on very low heat uncovered and simmer it down to one-fourth of the original volume (4 oz.) Each concentrate should be made separately. Then the entire formula is blended together (use only stainless steel pots.)

To make an ounce of garlic juice it takes one full pound of fresh garlic; peel and blend in blender with vinegar (do not liquefy). Fresh garlic juice is very potent. Use gloves when handling as it can burn the skin. WORD OF ADVICE: I have found that it doesn’t require all that much garlic if you put the pulp in a jelly bag and leave overnight. A surprising amount of juice runs out. Squeeze out liquid and measure.

Store in dark colored jars in a cool place; prune juice jars work fine. Shelf life – 10 plus years.

Dosage: 1 teaspoon three times a day up to 1 tablespoon every ½ hour depending on the condition of the person.

Treats: bacterial infections, common cold, flu, immune system function, pneumonia, sore throat, tuberculosis, thyroid fever, upper respiratory infection, yellow fever.

You bought the dried herbs, right? Can I ask from where? I am thinking of placing an order with Mountain Rose but would love to know if there is a better (as in cheaper :)) alternative. Thanks.

Here's another question. Can you just make the concentrates all at once? Mix all the herbs together in a big giant stock pot, add the appropriate amount of water (soak all the herbs together then add 16 oz water times however many number of 4 oz herbs and 32 oz water for the comfrey)? It might speed things up.
You're just mixing everything up in the end anyway.
Just wondering.

I bought mine at Mountain Rose. Didn't have time to search all over and don't have any local sources. (wish I did!)

No, that won't work. Here's why: You need to soak each herb, simmer for 30 minutes, strain, THEN cook each one to a CONCENTRATE of 4 ounces.
Some of the herbs you have to work to get 4 ounces (took me a few tries of cooking to get enough)
Some of the herbs give you too much liquid, which you need to cook down to your 4 ounces.

In order to get an accurate equal amount of each herb, you need to cook them seperately.

Honestly, if I didn't NEED a gallon for the size of my family, I'd consider buying it pre-made. You can get it in 16 ounce bottles for around $30 on amazon and other places. (do a search for Dr. Chrsitophers garlic formula) They use the original recipe EXCEPT they do not use Comfrey. They have substituted something else for the comfrey because of controversy with comfrey... (it's perfectly safe in the method/amounts in this recipe, but some people don't understand that and freak out...)

Hope that helps!

Thank you very much I have a larger family as well. I priced Mountain Rose Herbs, ordering just the amount needed, and it came to $46 not including shipping. I don't think that is too bad a price. Looking forward to making this!

the site has strong disclaimer can not be shared, so go to link, it has the recipe, and how to use it.

it shows the Ess. oils used and where to get them and how to do it.

here is another place:

Antibacterial Essential Oil Blend

Makes 280 drops. About enough to fill 1 15ml bottle
Ingredients
80 drops clove bud oil
70 drops lemon oil
40 drops cinnamon oil
30 drops eucalyptus oil (See Note)
20 drops rosemary oil
20 – 40 drops total other oils of choice, including melaleuca, frankincense, lavender, etc. (optional)
Method
1. Add oils, one by one, to your container of choice. (I used an old essential oil bottle that used to hold one of the oils in this blend.) You can purchase blue cobalt bottles here, which are thought by some to be the preferred glass for storing essential oils.
2. Shake bottle and use as desired.
NOTES:
1. Eucalyptus oils have a component that is poisonous. Typically most essential oils companies mention this toxicity regarding Eucalyptus Globulus only. According to this, you would need to ingest 3.5 ml of the oil to be fatal. So for sure keep these oils out of the reach of children. For safety reasons, Eucalyptus Citriodora might be the best choice to use in this blend though the big oils companies use Eucalyptus Radiata in theirs. Make sure to read the labels on your essential oils bottles carefully before using.
2. This oil blend is hot. It can burn sensitive skin, or throat lining, etc. Use with caution and dilute appropriately. I encourage you to do your own research to find out what dilution works best for you. This fractionated coconut oil is the most used oil for blending of essential oils.
3. Especially if you are going to use this blend internally, it is especially important that you purchase pure oils. Do your homework and don’t use any oil you aren’t sure is sourced correctly.

there is alot of info at the sites.
