I had a package shipped by FedEx the company never sent a tracking number. I had to go through Pay Pal to get a tracking number, FedEx said it was delivered to my door but it wasn't. After trying to get hold of FedEx to fill a complaint was impossible so I contacted Pay Pal the handled it even though it took a couple of weeks I got a refund I was glad I used Pay Pal to pay for the item.

Has No Life - Lives on TB
I had a Wally delivery yesterday. The driver rang the doorbell, and waited to ensure I actually got my pkgs and got them inside. Very considerate, and I told him, "Thank you". Same day, two Amz deliveries with no problems. Very fortunate to live in an area without porch pirate infestation.

every single day of the week there's FaceBook postings about local lost packages - usually the posting includes the pic of someone's front porch - Hunt & Seek game ....

I've included my physical local description on the "2nd Address" for decades now >> I believe it helps my deliveries get here - if you have a simple descrip like "mid block 2 story pink house" - include it - they aren't all brain dead .....

I hate Fed Ex.

Around here, Fed Ex uses contractors, that use rented Enterprise box trucks. One day he pulled up, and my son walked out to get the big box. I wasn't expecting anything at the time. Son comes in, and the truck drives off. I look at the box, and it's not for any of us. My girl friend at the time, looks at the box, and gets real excited to see it's a whole set of Rachel Ray cook ware. She's like, you do know how expensive those are, and can we keep it? I'm like, no I like to receive my stuff when I order something. She's my ex-girl friend now, but that's another story.

I called Fed Ex and told them about the wrong delivery. They sent out a real driver in a fancy Fed Ex van, wearing a Fed Ex uniform. He looks at the box, and says, oh it's ground delivery. No problem, I'll go drop it off.

The other day I ordered off Wal*Marts site. It was some cheap drinks mix, and I ordered some extra flavors. After ordering, three flavors are coming on one date, and the other is scheduled for a couple of days later. All for $5.99 delivery charge. They sent the guy back out for a $4.99 item two days later. Fed Ex delivery. Wal*Mart fulfillment.

I once sent a small box (USPS) containing a few silky scarves and a suggestive note to my then-boyfriend, whose DAUGHTER opened it, claiming she thought it was his meds from the VA. DAMMIT!
In our house, nobody would ever even think of opening somebody else's mail without asking. Maybe nobody's teachin' about respect and boundaries any more.
YMMV

Amazon delivery people use a gps navigation system as part of the app, to find where to deliver. usually it is pretty good, but
occasionally it sends you to the wrong place. Especially out in the stix. If this is a pattern, get LARGE house numbers and post them where they can easily be seen.
When war breaks out and those GPS satellites are destroyed, who can map read?...

Ups Has pictures on their handhelds to show the drivers where to deliver. Fedx does not. Fedx has left new tires in our driveway fairly close to the road instead of bringing them to the house. They have delivered packages under our mail box on a state highway, I have their number and I call them on it every time. They refuse to bring boxes to my door anymore since DH started building the cabin so they deliver them to that porch, before that they were putting them under the car port on the ground, so at least the cabin porch is dryer.

UPS is far above the quality of Fedx, I even have the phone number main driver for this area and if an alternate driver screws up I call him, he has my phone number too, really nice fellow.

Yeah, Amazon has a pic too, they are constantly updating their app.
I'm surprised FedX is so cheap, crap, delivery is their business.

If those delivery drivers had to use a paper map for every delivery your stuff would take twice as long to get to you.
The gps lets you avoid traffic entanglements and blocked off roads where construction is ongoing and all sorts of nastiness.
