BoB's Advice for EDC recommend (giving up a purse)

I have had the same purse forever and it has finally died. I want to get a good EDC sling backpack, but am a bit overwhelmed by all the choices. I need it to fill my needs that a purse would, but also add some more prep items. I carry with a holster, but as a female, would love to be able to carry in the pack when needed. I am 5' 3", so nothing too big. Recommendations?

Being a visual person, I like to buy in person, meaning I can feel the quality, see the room (pockets and crannies) and I would only buy leather. I miss Wilson leather. They had great stuff and had 1/2 off sales quite frequently. I don't know what I would do for and EDC other than my stuffed and crammed to the brim purse. But I do know if I had the money, it would be quality leather and workmanship.

Wish I could help you.
it's a never ending battle for me.
I'm just barely over 5ft and finding a holster that fits my petite frame is more difficult than finding slacks that don't need hemmed.

I literally have 3 conceal carry purses in my closet.
All well made all leather sturdy zippers with optional locks and very durable all around.
But imho just too damn plain boring and not something my style.
So now I have a plain ol regular purse but has a great little compartment where my little buddy fits just perfect.

Sorry I am no help.....but I empathize!
