There has been a shooting at Robb Elementary school in Uvalde, TX.@TxDPS and Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin tell me one person has been shot and the shooter ran to the school. DPS says the shooter is still barricaded inside the school right now.

Law enforcement in Uvalde is responding to an active shooter at an elementary school on Tuesday, according to police and the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District.
Details about any injuries are unknown, but UCISD said there is an active shooter at Robb Elementary School.
“Law enforcement is on site. Your cooperation is needed at this time by not visiting the campus,” the district posted just after 12:15 p.m.
The rest of the district is secure, the authorities added.
Police are asking people to avoid the area. Students can be picked up at the Willie Deleon Civic Center.

The Uvalde Memorial Hospital is reporting it received 13 children via ambulance and buses for treatment.
Two individuals that arrived at UMH were deceased, the hospital confirmed.

Reports are varying. I hope and pray that there were 14 casualties and only two deceased, but the reports are very inconsistent.

At least 2 children are dead and more than a dozen injured after a mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, local officials say. The suspect was later taken into custody but only few details have been released.
The incident began just before noon on Tuesday when officers were called for an active shooter at or near Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, a small community about 77 miles west of San Antonio.
“There is an active shooter at Robb Elementary. Law enforcement is on site,” the school district said in a statement. “Your cooperation is needed at this time by not visiting the campus. As soon as more information is gathered it will be shared.”
During the first few hours, local officials gave conflicting statements about where the shooting happened and how many people had been shot. It later became clear that the shooting happened inside.
Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin told Fox News that at least one person had been shot, apparently about a block from the school, after which the suspect ran onto campus. He was taken into custody around 1 p.m.
Uvalde Memorial Hospital said it received at least 13 patients from the school shooting, including two children who died. The conditions of the other victims were not immediately known. University Health in San Antonio said it was treating 2 patients, including a child.
The suspect’s condition was also not immediately clear. The Uvalde Police Department said the suspect was taken into custody, but a state senator said he was later told that the shooter was dead. The suspect’s identity or a possible motive is not yet known.
