My issue that I have seen (and is supported by various comments on this thread) is that we want to take the negative attributes of some and act like that is the norm for the whole.
The same can be said about any race OR ISSUE, both on TB and in the real world. There are SOME people who will never allow for the positives of __________ (insert event or race here), and only want to see the negatives. I tend to dismiss those opinions, since absolutes never apply to ANY issue.
That being said, many whites are really angry at blacks "in general" for myriad reasons: the culture of violence, the attitude of "stickin' it to whitey,' the profligate unwed pregnancy problem, the ongoing drug-selling, "Affirmative Action" (quotas in hiring and higher education), reparations, etc, etc. Then you factor in Je$$e and "Brother Al", and all those blacks that extort concessions and money from whites (and businesses), stir it all together, and many whites are left with a simmering, slow-burning anger and resentment. I share a great deal of that anger; it's just that I know all blacks aren't like that. But it's tough to maintain ANY positive feeling toward blacks when we seem to be constantly bombarded with the latest black atrocity-of-the-day or outrageous demand-of-the-day.
If blacks REALLY want to NOT be hated and resented, they need to repudiate people like Je$$e, Al $harpton, Louis FarraCON et al, drop the chipp from their shoulders, and get their youth into line regarding OBEYING THE LAW. They have to stop the culture of violence profeered up by the gangsta rappers, and teach their children REAL CORE American "old-time values."
If my residential area were full of THOSE blacks (the ones with solid values and who taught their children toe RESPECT people), I wouldn't mind a bit. I'd be happy to call those people my friends and neighbors. As to the OTHER kind of blacks? They should just be shot on sight, or put on a boat bound for "mother Africa".
