Record was 90 set in 1938. No rain for 60 days now.

I did manage to get a cover on the folded-up patio umbrella. That was a real bastard because the unit is 8 feet tall. Picture an umbrella sheath with a zipper up one side. I had to get that over the top of the umbrella, then get it zipped up and secured. With one working arm and vertigo and weakness while standing. Fun times. It’s supposed to actually rain over the next couple days, so I wanted the cover on. I also got a cover for the lawn chair since I have noplace indoors to store it. But I got it all done. I’m pretty happy about that. Not so much about the end-of-October heat though.

Cold here in the desert too. Time to start moving the citrus and aloe vera in and out. About time! This summer went on way too long.
