BOISE, Idaho — Idaho police say nine people were hospitalized early Sunday and one man is in custody after a mass stabbing at a Boise apartment complex that is home to many refugee families.

Boise Police Chief Bill Bones said all nine were taken to area hospitals, some with life-threatening injuries.

"At this point we haven't lost anybody, but as I said the injuries are very serious," Bones said.

The police did not yet have a suspected motive for the Saturday night attack but said a 30-year-old man was in custody.

"It's a single evil individual who attacked," Bones said. "No provocation that we are aware of."

Bones said the attack resulted in the most victims in a single incident in Boise Police Department history. "As you can imagine, the Wylie Street Apartment and our community is reeling from this attack," he said.

Police received a report of a stabbing at 8:46 p.m., and responded to the apartment complex within four minutes, Bone said. They found victims in the parking lot and inside the apartment complex. Witnesses reported that the suspect had fled, and police arrested the 30-year-old man a short distance away.

Investigators said they did not yet know if the suspect was connected to the victims in any way.

Police did not release the names or ages of the victims, but said their age ranges varied dramatically and "it's affected all aspects of the families" who live at the complex.

Investigators were searching a nearby canal and the crime scene late Saturday night. Bones said police believe the knife used in the stabbing was discarded by the suspect prior to his arrest.

The multicultural transformation of Idaho will continue with a planned infusion of hundreds of refugees from Muslim countries over the next one to three years.
A local newspaper in Twin Falls reported that city will receive 300 mostly Syrian refugees over the next fiscal year starting Oct. 1.

But WND has learned the numbers will be much larger statewide and include refugees from Syria, Iraq, the Democratic Republic of Congo and possibly Somalia.
Sources tell WND that community leaders learned of the plans for up to 2,000 refugees at a recent conference at Boise State University attended by church groups, social services providers and other “stakeholders.”

“That’s the number they put out that they’re planning for, a total of about 2,000 over the next one to three years, with 70 percent going to Boise and 30 percent in the Twin Falls area,” said Shahram Hadian, a former Muslim turned Christian pastor in eastern Washington who said he spoke with a conference attendee.

The apartment complex is just off of one of Boise's busier streets, separated from the traffic by one of the many irrigation canals that run through the city. Police closed roughly a mile of the road during the initial investigation and later rerouted traffic to the lanes farthest from the complex using flares and barricades.

Early Sunday morning there were still dozens of police cars and officers at the apartment complex, with yellow evidence markers placed around the parking lot. Officers told some residents of the complex who were trying to go home that they should either find a motel or go to a nearby church for shelter, because the complex wouldn't be opened to residents before daylight.

Victim witness coordinators and counselors were being made available to the victims, their families and friends and other residents of the apartment complex, Bones said.

"Our hearts go out to the victims who are in the hospital tonight, please keep them and their families in your thoughts and prayers," he said.

That evidently pissed little Timmy off, and he does not play well with others.
I'm surprised that none of the stabbees didn't come out with machetes and dice little Timmy into bite size pieces suitable for July 4th BBQ.

Timmy Earl Kinner was arrested at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, just minutes after police were called to Wylie Street Station Apartment Complex in Boise.

BOISE - Nine people, including six children, have been transported to local hospitals after police say a 30-year-old man stabbed several people at an apartment complex in Boise.

Timmy Earl Kinner was arrested at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, just minutes after police were called to Wylie Street Station Apartment Complex near West State Street and Wylie Lane.

Police said Sunday morning that Kinner, who is from Los Angeles, was a temporary resident at the apartment complex, but had been asked to leave on Friday. He is charged with a total of 15 felonies: nine counts of aggravated battery and six counts of injury to a child.

Bones added that the victims' age ranges vary dramatically and that some of the victims are refugees who live in the complex.

Police noted in a news release Sunday morning that Kinner is not a refugee, and that his exact motives for the attack are still under investigation.

State Street was closed in the area of the crime scene overnight, and motorists were told to expect delays and avoid the area. Bones said the area surrounding the apartment complex will be impacted for at least the next 24 hours.

Investigators pulled something from the canal. Someone from the forensic team boxes it up, took photos of the area it was found and walked off with it. Not sure what it was.

So now the media is saying he wasn't a refugee. What was his business at the apartment complex? Who was he staying with? A refugee from California? You see, you can't prevent people from moving around in this country, they are free to live and go wherever they choose. Truth be told we will never know the facts as the media will not report the truth. I'm shocked that there's a dreadful picture of him that was released. Usually they protect the kneegrows. I'm surprised they didn't call him a white man.
