Two people have committed suicide who were involved in the conflict on the 10th at Congress.

A member of the Capitol Police, Howard Liebengood, was on duty on Wednesday and died by suicide on Saturday. He was the son of a powerful sergeant of arms in the Senate and lobbyist with ties to many prominent politicians.

Today Christopher Stanton Georgia, 53, shot himself dead at his home in Alpharetta on Saturday. At around 7:15pm last Wednesday, on the night of the riots, Georgia was reportedly among a group outside in violation of the District’s 6pm curfew. According to documents from the Superior Court of DC, Georgia had been charged with attempting to ‘enter certain property, that is, the United States Capitol Grounds, against the will of the United States Capitol Police.

I don’t want to sound like a woo-woo but isn’t this strange?

Men usually shoot themselves in the head during suicide, women shoot themselves in the chest...

Sure, it’s not 100%, but....

Suicides usually shoot themselves in the head, not the chest.

One is coincidence, two is enemy action.

As soon as their gun laws are passed watch for many gun owners to commit suicide .... while lying in their beds.

Seeing stories popping up around he net that the Ga man was the one who had Pelosi's laptop!? Not sure if true.

From "The Sun" this would be Mr. Georgia

Does this resemble the pix we've all see of the man sitting in Pelosi's chair?

Seemingly NOT. Richard Barnett, Arkansas man pictured in Pelosi’s chair amid Capitol riot, faces 11 years in prison

Richard Barnett him.

True, most of the time but I have worked men in chest and one women in head. I still have a few pictures that would "Leave a mark" on your brain.

My son had one earlier this week where a guy tried to cut his own head with a compound miter saw. He almost made it but it got into the collar bone a little to deep before dropping.

Actually a LOT of gun suicides will lay down on a bed or couch to shoot themselves My experience and observation
Also a women will RARELY shoot themselves unless mentally disturbed. They will pill up or slash themselves. But not shoot them selfs in the head. Women do not want their face and hair messed up even in death
Again my personal observation and experience.
I worked crime scene photography for a few years. I only recall one woman suicide who shot herself in the head.

You’re right, of course, as I was writing the above post, I though of a woman who’d shot herself in the head also...it’s just not the norm.

...never had anyone try to cut their head off, but I did have a guy cut his arm off with a power saw...he said he heard a voice tell him to and it sounded like the most rational thing to do at the time!

Not in my experience.

Abstract
This study presents a case series of suicides carried out by self-inflicted gunshot wounds to the chest-a relatively uncommon means of suicide.

The website also has many other grim stats should anyone be interested.

Also, please accept my sympathies on behalf of your sister, Digger.

3 people died of heart attacks, stroke at the protest, one woman was killed, one cop died afterwards of a heart attack, another cop killed himself, now this guy commits suicide.

Tens of thousands of people rioted for George Floyd, plus tens of thousands through the summer for ANTIFA, BLM, and then hundreds of thousands at MAGA rally a few weeks ago.,.no news of heart attacks or strokes during those.

I wonder if the 2 cops knew too much. One was a Trump supporter. Then this latest suicide...all knew too much? Loose ends?

I believe the woman that was shot was the one person they needed to push this over the top....I say that because a nasty Trump hater was right beside her video taping the whole thing. Who helped her up into that window? Who was the man with the gun waiting in the doorway? Swat was 5 feet behind her and what, 15 feet in front of her? Guy wasn't threatened..,this was planned. IMO.
