Okay, so it's been a long day at the hospital  Yes, it's $20 a week. Just checking to see if you were paying attention.

Wish I was home--I would hit Albertson's for the chili. Wolf brand (no beans) is my favorite and Albertson's is the only place around me that carries them, unless Big Lots happens to get some in.

After the sticker shock at the gas pump today, I started to think you were increasing it to take inflation into consideration!

Lot's of good prepping this week thanks to Ingle's tripling coupons week - triples up to 50 cents.

Mahatma seasoned rice packets 2/$1.00 - $1.50 coupons = $0.25 each *bought more
Carnation Evaporated milk 2/1.96 - $1.50 coupons = $0.46 *bought more
Tabasco sauce $1.57 - $1.50 coupons = $.07
Ramen soups 10/$1.00 = $1.00 (not a normal food, but thought these would make good give-aways - and they really do taste good in a pinch)
Chicken of the Sea Albacore Tuna - 2/$3.10 - $1.50 coupons = $1.60 *bought many
Del Monte diced tomatoes (glass jars) - $1.68 - $1.50 coupons = $0.18 each
Spam with Bacon - $2.45 - $1.50 coupons = $0.95 each
Mueller's Noodles - 2/1.58 - $1.20 coupons = $0.38
Del Monte Fiesta corn - 2/2.06 - $1.35 coupons = $0.71
Maybud small waxed cheeses - 2/$2.73 = $5.46
Del Monte canned potatoes - 3/$2.94 - $1.20 coupons = $1.74

That is $14.18 from Ingles *Plus lots and lots of paper and toiletries w/ coupons

From Bi-Lo:

Bush chili in the glass jars BIG1F (unadvertised sale) 2/2.38 - $1.00/1 coupons = $0.19 each * bought ten for $1.90 (I know, limit 2 coupons/item)

$14.18 plus $1.90 = $16.08

just a sampling....

TRIPLE COUPONS!!!! I am SOOOOO jealous!! We don't even get doubles in Florida. A friend of mine and I would love to go somewhere where they had triples just to see what it would be like. With those great deals, I might spend a few weeks ahead and buy all I could. I don't understand why people don't stock up on sales like that--"Why do I need xx cans of xxx?" "Because they are 15 cents a can now, and over $1 regularly." "But I don't need that many." "Fine, pay full price and I'll stock up." Hence my 30+ boxes of Kraft mac and cheese for 25 cents a box a few weeks ago. It's normally 99 cents, so I bought all I thought we would eat (counting the 30 or so I already have on the shelf) in the next 18 months. Let the suckers pay full price.
