POL 2/24 - The South Carolina Primary

My friends and us voted early as they changed our voting place. We usually have a Huge church gathering room with lots of parking, but they changed it to our local firehouse. After seeing the crowd at the Trump rally we all felt we would be in line for a long time. Not sure what is happening but TV says voting turnout is up by 35%.

ETA: We were also worried about the machines, and the news today said one place had an electrical problem that did something to the machine.

I know it may seem farfetched but I've posted this very thought right here on TB2K more than once...

The #SouthCarolinaPrimary will mark the point where the charade that Nikki Haley is a Republican will come to an end.

From this point forward, if she continues, she should be considered the Opposition Party.

My guess is that she thinks the Democrats will let her replace Biden to run against Trump.

CNN finding more Democrats crossing over to vote for Haley.

I'm predicting it'll take 0.00003 seconds for them to call it for Trump.

It may be so bad that Haley may have no choice but to drop out tonight.

but if the situation were reversed I could see newspapers of yesterday with bold headlines
750,000 republican voters (or whatever number) in SC would rather vote for a democratic candidate than for Trump
just my cynical view of our media and their agenda

She is staying in the race because she has inside information from Democrats that Trump will go to jail soon.

Or, being the stooge for the uni party, she'll take enough votes away from Trump to keep her deep state supporters satisfied that life goes on for 4 more years with Joey B or whoever they replace him with.
As the Beatles tune goes: Back in the US, back in the US, back in the USSR....Running as a third party candidate...

Anyone paying attention has known that none of his opponents have any strength. His nomination, barring an unforeseen event, was solidified a while ago. The results we keep seeing as people actually vote only puts an exclamation point on it.

It's the CNN's and Fox's of the world that are desperate to manufacture drama, and they keep coming up empty-handed, because there is none. And people like CNN are left only to lecture America on how terrible it is to let such a pig back into a presidential race.

Tough beans, elitists. It is what it is.

While that sounds reasonable, living in clown world means, almost literally, anything can happen.
..stealing the nod from DJT despite all the evidence our eyes give us, is no more a stretch than having stolen the election from him last cycle. It's actually even less of a stretch, I guess, given all these other lawfare measures being trotted out against him :hmm:
