So I've been seeing these transports all over for the last year and a half, is it normal or is it in fact prepping for an invasion, because that's what it feels like.

Here since the beginning
_______________
They're not white, they're "sand" colored. You can clearly see what "white" would look like because they use white on the medic vehicles to surround the red cross symbol.

And yes, this is an engineer battalion, or maybe even brigade.

NOT Red Cross!
Those cracker boxes (errr NOW they're slightly modified Humvee cracker boxes) are just ambulances for the unit on the move.

One of my sons is what's called a "Rail Fan"---his hobby is to keep up with and watch trains. He was familiar with this as soon as I showed him--he said, "Oh yeah, that's the W871 trains that have been running--there was one a couple of days ago, one yesterday, and one's coming down tonight. They're running on CSX lines."

As far as he knew, the trains were headed for Macon, but he doesn't know where beyond that.

Here's the second of the two shipments, which are called "military trains"; I found it on You Tube: 8 min 32 sec

The THIRD of these is on its way south NOW, it'll be going through Greenwood SC tonight heading toward Abbeville---here's a video of it when it left SC 7 hours ago heading south- 2 mins 35 sec

YOU REALLY OUGHT TO READ THE COMMENTS under the videos for the trains--very, very interesting the speculation as to what this is about!

My son's checking his Rail Fan forum--all the trains came out of Ft Bragg. He's looking to see if anyone knows the end destination.

Too bad they couldn't spell the town correctly. I know someone who lives in Acworth (the correct spelling).

Man those tactical backhoes are gnarly!

I didn't see any tanks, so we are good. Looks like they are going to be digging the crap out of something. Wait a minute; they use backhoes to dig graves.

Why would they need backhoes and bulldozers in Saudi?

Next it’ll be boxcars...human cattle cars...

I suggest trying to get a window seat for those of you riding them...
