A junior varsity basketball player at Southside Christian School in South Carolina suffered from a seizure and cardiac arrest during a basketball game on Tuesday night.

The school reported that Kamari Williams, aka K. Will, collapsed during a game against Brashier Middle College.

Chris Young, an athletic trainer, stepped in to perform CPR for 10 minutes till emergency medical services arrived.

According to WFYY News, Williams was able to get stabilized and was sent to the hospital.

“By God’s grace, trainer Chris Young was on-site at the game and stepped in to perform CPR for close to 10 minutes until EMTs could arrive,” said Denny Vauters of Southside Christian School. “They were able to stabilize Kamari and transport him to the hospital.”

“We are praising God for K Will’s life, the staff involved in the emergency, and are praying for wisdom for the doctors now trying to understand how and why this happened,” Vauters continued.

According to a Facebook post, there has been no further decline in Kamari’s condition, including no indication of brain or organ failure.

Of course, the doctors are baffled. They are currently conducting tests to figure out what happened.

“On behalf of the Williams/McGowens family we appreciate all the prayers, calls, texts, and messages for Kamari (K-Will) Williams. As you see in the picture K-Will is doing great and in good spirits,” Rod Shaw Jr. wrote on Facebook.

“Updates, K-Will has no brain damage or organ failure. Doctors are still running test to discover what happen. Please continue to pray for him and the family. Please out of respect for the family don’t bombard them with calls or messages. We will post another update when we have more info,” he continued.

“May God continue to show his hand and purpose in Kamari’s life. Let’s all be thankful to God for his son Jesus for his blood that never losses its power and the prayers of the saints,” the post concluded.

“This is not a post I was expecting to write but it‘s nonetheless one that has to be written,” Ms Wright said on Facebook the day after his death.

“Anyone who knew us, knew how much Rickson meant to us and how much this loss will affect our lives and our family.

Ms Wright said they “don’t know his exact cause of death” at this stage but thinks his enlarged heart “may be related”.

The family has set up a GoFundMe to cover the costs of his untimely death.

“As our family tries to find a way through this heartbreaking, difficult time, I would just like to reach out to our amazing community, loving family, and amazing friends for your support,” Ms Wright wrote on the fundraising page.

“He had come a tremendously long way from the difficulties he faced only a few short years ago.

“He loved life, and always wanted to be the life of the party, even when there was no party.

“Although the financial support won’t bring Rickson back, it hopefully will help us to give him the farewell he deserves and some time to mourn the unexpected loss of our loving son and brother without the added stress of financial burden.”

Charles Kirtland, left, with friend Charles Ford. Kirtland, owner of Gershwin's restaurant in Norfolk, died this weekend. This photo was taken in 2021.

Charles Kirtland, the kind and generous owner of Gershwin’s restaurant in downtown Norfolk, died unexpectedly this weekend. Kirtland, 37, was a pillar in the LGBTQ community, friends and colleagues say.
He volunteered with Hampton Roads Pride and Stonewall Sports Norfolk. Kirtland also served as the president of the LGBT Life Center’s board of directors for the last two years. He helped raise money, advocated for HIV testing and was a champion for the organization.

“He was an amazing leader for the board and we will struggle moving forward without him,” said Stacie Walls, chief executive officer for the center.
Rachel Anderson, president of Hampton Roads Business OutReach, which promotes LGBTQ professionals and businesses, posted a tribute on the group’s Facebook page: “Charles was a centerpiece of our community who has left us too soon. His support for the community was unwavering through his work with the LGBT Life Center, his support of HRBOR, and other nonprofits.
Ad Choices
“Charles helped make Gershwin’s a gathering place. All were welcome and loved. HRBOR joins the Gershwin’s family, Charles’ family and friends, and the community in mourning the loss of his light.”
Kirtland was born in San Antonio, Texas. His dad was in the Navy and the family lived in Bermuda, Illinois, California, Texas and Virginia. He moved to Norfolk in 2007.

Walls said Kirtland taught the organization to engage with people authentically, meaning to meet them where they are and to lift up every voice. Walls will remember Kirtland as a philanthropist at heart, not only with money but with his time and passion.
Other friends started posting social tributes Monday as news of Kirtland’s death spread.
Nicholas Dintelmann, president of Hampton Roads Pride, described Kirtland on Instagram as a community leader and a person whose ambiance made you feel loved.
“Charles would go out of his way to support however he could, with Gershwin’s being a bedrock,” Dintelmann wrote. “He made sure to hold multiple shows, events, meetups, patio parties, get-togethers, networking nights, holiday parties … the list goes on and on. His staff was always ready with a smile and a twirl of glam. ... We join in this community with memories of his smile, his ‘what can I get you,’ his laugh and his joy for life. ... A leader among us now rests in power and in peace.”
Charles Ford, a Norfolk State University professor, said he was devastated when he learned about his friend’s death. He will remember Kirtland as a surrogate son and a one-of-a-kind person.
He recalled that they met at Gershwin’s where Kirtland was a bartender for many years. Kirtland became part owner and recently the sole proprietor. Ford said Kirtland hired a new chef and added vegan options and nonalcoholic cocktails.
“A bright light on Granby Street was put out and will never be lit again,” he said.

At this point (and long before) the evidence was overwhelming as to the cause and effect. If they can’t see it then it is because they don’t want to see it and I don’t want anyone like that even treating me for an upset stomach. For them the hippocratic oath has become the hypocritical oath.

MSNBC Anchor Hospitalized With Severe Myocarditis, Pericarditis

Tyler Durden's Photo

by Tyler Durden
Thursday, Feb 02, 2023 - 01:05 PM
Authored by Jack Phillips via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours),
An MSNBC anchor revealed in a recent segment that she was hospitalized with heart inflammation in December, leading her to miss work for about a month.
Yasmin Vossoughian is seen in a file photo (Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images)

Yasmin Vossoughian said that the health scare started on Dec. 20 when she started to experience chest pains that “waxed and waned over a period of 10 days.” Those pains “continued to get worse” over the coming days, she added.

The anchor, who hosts a weekend program on the left-wing network, said she went to urgent care on Dec. 30 and was told she had acid reflux. A day later, she woke up with severe chest pains and pain in her left shoulder, leading her to believe she was suffering from a heart attack.

Vossoiughian, 44, said she went to the emergency room. Doctors diagnosed her with pericarditis, or inflammation of the lining of the heart. They claimed it was caused by “a literal common cold,” she said.

She added that she doesn’t smoke, she runs several miles per week, does yoga, doesn’t eat meat, and drinks occasionally. “I’m a pretty healthy person,” she said.

After she was admitted to the hospital, she spent several days there before she was released on Jan. 4, Vossoiughian said.

“But that was not the end … three days later, I was readmitted when I felt a flutter in my heart like a butterfly,” she said. Doctors then informed her that she developed myocarditis, inflammation of the heart muscle, and she spent another five days in the hospital.

Vossoiughian then said that it was “just the cold that was doing … all the inflammation in and around my heart.”

Speculation

With Vossoiughian’s confirmation that she suffered pericarditis and myocarditis, there was widespread speculation on social media that it may have been caused by a COVID-19 vaccine or booster. The MSNBC host did not make mention of COVID-19 or vaccines during her segment, and she said her doctors blamed it on the common cold virus.

Both pericarditis and myocarditis are considered side effects of mRNA vaccines manufactured by Pfizer and Moderna, according to the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

But, according to Johns Hopkins University, while rare, myocarditis can be caused “by an infection in the body,” including the common cold, influenza, and COVID-19. Bacterial, fungal, and parasitic infections can also lead to myocardial inflammation.

The Myocarditis Foundation, meanwhile, says that “viral infections are the leading cause of myocarditis,” but it notes that “a wide range of infections, diseases, and substances may cause this condition.”

And the UK National Health Service says that “pericarditis often follows a viral infection, such as a sore throat or cold.”

In 2021, Vossoiughian wrote on social media that she was fully vaccinated for COVID-19. “We are both vaccinated…that was confirmed before this pic!” she said in April of that year. Comcast’s NBCUniversal also mandated that its employees, including those working at MSNBC, get the vaccine before returning to the office in early 2022.

Wow, thank God it was only a cold.

Professional Golf Tournament Interrupted After Caddie Suddenly Suffers Medical Emergency

JIM HOFT

On Friday, during the second round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the caddie for an amateur player suddenly collapsed and was rushed to a nearby hospital after receiving CPR.

According to ESPN‘s Paolo Uggetti, the play was interrupted for nearly one hour after Pebble Beach businessman Geoff Couch’s caddie, who remains unidentified, suddenly collapsed on the 11th-hole fairway.
Just talked to Max McGreevy who said the caddie collapsed in middle of the fairway and they attempted to get his bag off him quickly so they could try CPR. Asked if he could see his group resuming play, he said no.
— Paolo Uggetti (@PaoloUggetti) February 3, 2023

PGA Tour chief referee Gary Young said a spectator initiated CPR until medical personnel arrived. He was rushed in an ambulance to Montage Health in Monterey, California.

Country singer Lukas Nelson and PGA Tour professionals Beau Hossler and Max McGreevy were among other members of the group who appeared shaken by what they witnessed. Couch departed the team shortly after the ambulance arrived.

American professional golfer Beau Hossler said, “I can’t say that I’m real comfortable at the moment to resume play.”
“I turn around and he’s on the ground and I ran over to him and turned him over,” said country singer Lukas Nelson, the other amateur in the group.

“And he didn’t have a lot of color in him. Luckily, there was a police officer on the sideline. He knew CPR so he came in and effectively saved his life.”
Nelson told ESPN’s Paolo Uggetti that the caddie is now “doing better.”
Players and caddies now hugging each other. Lukas Nelson, the other amateur, just told me the caddie who collapsed is “doing better.” The group is headed back to the clubhouse to regroup. Unclear if they’ll continue play.
— Paolo Uggetti (@PaoloUggetti) February 3, 2023
The PGA Tour later released a statement following the incident:
During the second round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, there was a medical emergency at No. 11 at Pebble Beach involving an amateur’s caddie. The caddie has been rushed to Montage Health for evaluation.
At the direction of the PGA TOUR Rules Committee, the players in that group – Max McGreevy and Beau Hossler – paused play during the medical emergency and will be allowed to warm up and resume their round shortly.
We will provide additional details when available.

Family in Shock After Their Healthy 21-Year-Old Son Dies Suddenly In His Sleep
Cullen Linebarger
2 - 3 minutes

Rickson Williams was a beloved former school captain from Wallaville, Queensland, Australia who had his whole life ahead of him. Rickson, however, passed away while asleep last month just a few days before his 21st birthday.

Rickson’s death continues an alarming pattern of young adults worldwide suddenly dying for reasons unknown. In some cases, parents of these young adults have pointed to the COVID vaccine as the culprit.

Doctors found that Rickson had an enlarged heart after his death and believes this may be related to his death. An exact cause of death remains undetermined, however.

What caused his enlarged heart remains unclear at this point as well.

Here is the story from news.com.au:

A family is in mourning after a 21-year-old man suddenly died in his sleep.

Rickson “Ricko” Williams, from the town of Wallaville in Queensland, died suddenly on January 11, just days before his 22nd birthday.

The much-loved former school captain was found dead in his bed.

His mother, Tanya Wright, said doctors discovered her son had an enlarged heart after his death.

Ms Wright posted a heartbroken tribute to her son, remembering him as an aspirational young man who was always the life of the party.

“This is not a post I was expecting to write but it‘s nonetheless one that has to be written,” Ms Wright said on Facebook the day after his death.

“Anyone who knew us, knew how much Rickson meant to us and how much this loss will affect our lives and our family.

“He had his whole life ahead of him and had just put in an application to study a bachelor of music.”

Ms Wright said they “don’t know his exact cause of death” at this stage but thinks his enlarged heart “may be related”.

The family has set up a GoFundMe to cover the costs of his untimely death.

The MSM have been releasing a Pfizer cover-story today in which they attack the anti-vax conspiracy theorists who’ve created a #diedsuddenly movement.

It’s the usual “proven to be safe and effective” nonsense, and as such, I see no reason to post it, but what I find interesting is what Google has done with their results for the query “died suddenly.” Can you guess? I bet you can…

I haven't seen a primary doctor in many years myself. Friends of mine seem to live at the doctors office

Club-level tennis player, Ryan Vannah, tragically died suddenly during a mixed double match on Sunday, January 29.

The 43-year-old player suddenly dropped to his knees and lay down during the tiebreaker of a mixed doubles tennis match at Red Rock Country Club in Nevada.

The doctors who were watching the match rushed to administer CPR, but despite their efforts and 55 minutes of medical procedures, Vannah was not revived.

According to Review-Journal, Vannah was taking medicine for hypertension. According to his sister, Tami Vannah Kang, he never displayed any symptoms that he was having trouble with his health.

“He took impeccable care of his health,” she said. “He was so fit. He lifted weights. He looked like a bodybuilder to me. He was huge. We did not see this coming.”

Ryan Vannah was pronounced dead at Summerlin Hospital.

The doctors claimed that Vannah was taking the wrong medication for his blood pressure.

However, the coroner has not determined the official cause and manner of death.

Essentially Sports reported:

Ryan Vannah, resident of Las Vegas, comes from a family of doctors and lawyers. However, unlike his family, he chose sports as a career. He graduated from Durango High School and competed in the state tennis championships.

His family was in shock, as Ryan was in good shape and took extra care of his health. Ryan also used to teach children at local elementary schools for extra money.

His sister was in shock after a huge loss.

Ryan’s sister interacted with the media after the sad demise of her brother. She was in utter shock as she revealed that Ryan was extremely fit and it was the first incident of its kind. She also revealed that her husband also used to play alongside her brother at the same club and was present there when the sad incident happened.

Remembering him, she said that Ryan was nice to people and took very little time in making new friends. His friend at Red Rock club, Sean Hubbard, also expressed his shock over Ryan’s sudden demise. However, he also claimed that it was not the first time he saw a player collapse on the tennis court, as it happened in the club eight years ago as well.

Tributes poured in following his death.

“With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ryan Powell Vannah (43 Years old). Leave your condolences, photos and videos on his commemorative page and pay homage to him or send flowers to show you care.”

“Today we remember a beloved member of our local tennis community, Ryan Vannah, who tragically passed away this past weekend while playing. We will truly miss seeing him in our store and out on the courts. His friendly smile and kind heart brought joy to our team and all who knew him. We’ll miss you, Ryan.”
