Apple will soon be by appointment only
That's what I don't understand about the thefts of phones. The IMEI numbers get flagged and all the carrier's use the same database.Doubt they can use them. Apple has the ability to shut down all its devices. i am sure they have the serial numbers.
Could they be broken down for parts (like batteries) and sold on the black market? I would think the word would get out that apple products are a waste of time otherwise. But I guess if they are fairly confident that they wouldn't suffer any repercussions, they've got nothing to lose.None. They’re bricked before they can be activated. But ghetto apes don’t understand that.
And spend what's left of your life in court. It would be especially difficult to not deck one of the savages. You could plan it, they would never expect it to happen.
Then, WHAM!
And spend what's left of your life in court.
Phones put on display become bricks when disconnected from the display they're hooked to. I don't think display models can ever be enabled since they're not intended to ever be sold.Doubt they can use them. Apple has the ability to shut down all its devices. I am sure they have the serial numbers.
They're left intact and selling them to unsuspecting suckers is the plan from the start. It's a real show to see someone show up to a Verizon or Apple store with the "used phone they just bought that doesn't work" and they get told they have a stolen phone that will never work.Could they be broken down for parts (like batteries) and sold on the black market? Officer, I didn’t mean to trip him.It would be especially difficult to not deck one of the savages. You could plan it, they would never expect it to happen.

Thanks for your correction. I thought they were Amish youts picking up the latest in doorstops. These were medical students, not thieves. Please correct your title.
I’m sure sorry, but it was an accident. I slipped on a banana peel. And spend what's left of your life in court.
Sam said that? What did the missus put in his glazed donut?“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

In californication, it's probably illegal to tell them that they have a stolen phone. They're left intact and selling them to unsuspecting suckers is the plan from the start. From a quick look the screen and battery each are over a hundred bucks. Exact costs depend upon the model of phone. That then gets into the third party repair market and their parts supply stream. That the batteries are now part of the phone's "morher board" in many cases makes things even more interesting....What are those phones worth on the dead-phone market?
Coupla hundred bux?
How much does a new screen cost?
