ALERT RUSSIA INVADES UKRAINE - Consolidated Thread

Housecarl

On TB every waking moment
Russia spans 11 time zones.

I don't think there is a best time.

I would have just stuck with prime time in Moscow.
Moscow and both European Russia, Urals and west, as well as the EU. The US will wake up to the MSM and talking heads trying to figure out what just happened and trying to explain how they missed it. Then there's the speech Biden’s giving at the UN after Putin's address....

I am wigged out about today's news about the Eastern Ukrainian annexation and the inability to schedule a speech. The realities on the ground are more dynamic than we are seeing, and it looks like Russia is now not able to make decisions nor communicate effectively.

Something happened today that we are not aware of.

Now I'm hearing that Putin's speech is pre-recorded.

I was under the impression that he was going to address his nation live?

This will be about the time most of Western Europe (and the UK/Ireland) are either just waking up or getting ready to have breakfast/leave for work. It is a bit complicated to figure out exactly but it looks like it is two hours ahead of British Summer Time (Moscow doesn't do Summer Time) and so one hour or so ahead of most of Western Europe (if I read the comparison chart correctly).

So about 7 am in France/Germany and 6 am UK and Ireland; I think the speech was supposed to be live and now it is recorded which as pointed out, suggests a secure location. The referendums on the Ukrainian "regions" are not until Friday, which makes the timing of this a bit interesting; especially if they are using that as an excuse to formally declare war or something because the "vote" hasn't been taken. Although the EU and the US have already said they will not recognize the outcome anyway.

This has me a tad concerned as well...

That is a weapon of desperation, terror, and literally scorched earth. I know a ot people think "Russia's Got This" but I don't really think they do.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this speech is to meant to layout their false pretext to general mobilization in the coming weeks. Some crap about if\when the referendums are in favor of joining the RF then Russia will immediately declare Luhansk and Donetsk annexed, any attacks on these areas will be a direct attack on Russia.

This will be ignored and his bluff called yet again. Slow rolling this war until it’s too late.

Editor-in-Chief RT... Judging by what is happening and still about to happen, this week marks either the eve of our imminent victory, or the eve of nuclear war. I can't see anything third.

Replying to
@EndGameWW3

Declaration of war, general mobilization and the annexation of separatist/occupied regions in Ukraine, all open clearer avenues of Russian use of nukes in Ukraine. I find it highly unlikely, but I've come to conclusion we are closer to nuclear war today since the Cuban crisis.

I won't bloat an already sizeable thread by adding to the pointless restatements of already well covered material, but will note that this was the conclusion reached this morning, and the info that's come in since does nothing to suggest that analysis was in error.
The timing seems ominous to me. I've got a bad feeling about this one. I think we are about to see a major escalation.

I'd also have to question whether in this day and age biden's cabal could use green screens and subterfuge to move to a bunkered situation. It seems there are far too many eyes, domestic and foreign, for any such measure to be attempted successfully. As a side note, for those worried bout the meat puppets ability to handle this- I still have considerable doubt that he's left in charge of his breakfast menu, let alone any thing requiring this measure o' gravitas.

On a possibly encouraging note, I'll remind us that this mercury retrograde, so these communication snaffus are par for the course; if we're lucky this will prove to be no more than that, and a few days will find the flow into virgo will increase discernment and the ability for any good faith actors to steer the situation through the minefields it faces at present.

Maybe not Biden but watch the leadership of the House and Senate. Watch any local mil bases for FPCON increases. Look for a change in mil flights. Unexpected reserve call ups. Etc

You mean like leaders who used MDW helicopters like Uber rides now scooting around in 2 car Suburban motorcades? And Capitol Shield going on right now with the premise of a large body of officials trapped under rubble in a certain US national landmark? And other fun and games?

Yeah, like that :)

Well, if "we" see it, EVERYONE has seen it- and everyone knows that everyone else knows we're all b ut fighting the war ourselves, anyway. . . but admitting these things never seem to end well. Just mean the other parties can't pretend ignorance, but must address in some fashion.

#RUSSIA: Two connected rumors - 1) Putin is starting silent mobilization. Notices are being handed out to conscript in public places in Moscow. 2) Central Bank Governor #Nabiullina submitted her resignation. Nabiullina's condition from start was no mobilization or she resigns.

Russian Telegram channels are freaking out, writing that starting at midnight Sep 21st (5 hours from now) men ages 18-65 will be prohibited from leaving Russia.

If the rumor that Nabiullina submitted her resignation to Putin is true, I'd think it's unlikely Putin will accept it.

Russian Stock Market Index on MOEX crashed nearly 10% on September 20th.

Viktor Sobolev, member of the Russian Duma (Parliament) Defense Committee, has adamantly denied rumors of mobilization.

JUST IN: Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor to President Biden: Putin is preparing to potential mobilization measures.

Putin planned to make a speech around 8pm tonight local time Moscow. Let's see if the plan got scrapped.

UPDATE: Putin's speech is being "delayed."

Putin and Shoigu's planned speeches to the nation are already over an hour late. This silence seems ominous for Putin. One can dream.... Unfortunately, #1 coup candidate is #Patrushev.

Putin's press secretary #Peskov has gone radio silent despite being inundated by questions from Russian press. Anxiety in Russia right now is palpable.

Fascist Putin's big speech has been rescheduled for tomorrow, September 21st.

No one in the Russian press / politics so far can recall a single instance of Putin canceling his own officially pre-announced speech.

If you haven't noticed Russia has yet to use there airforce. Remember what we used on Iraq and Afghanistan. Yeh. They have the same shit . Fuel air , cluster bombs . Remember that. I don't think this is even close to finished and
Quoting Ukrainian and main stream media reports mean nothing.

Up in the thread, it said the speech was for 9am local time on the 21st, so that translates to 2am est tonight.

I would wait up, but probably won't hear anything about it right away. And if they launch the nukes, I would rather be asleep when it happens so I won't know.

He is going to say that they are going full-scale mobilization, full-on war with Ukraine, they are going to "vote" on the eastern parts of Ukraine joining Russia (meaning they are going to take them), nukes will be positioned close by for "defense" of the newly acquired land should it be attacked.

Somebody really needs to find out what Russia's nuclear doctrine states. I bet it says that if any part of Russia is attacked, nuclear weapons are fully authorized for immediate use.

11 Pacific time and I am not sure I want to hear because I might not be able to go to sleep.

From Wikipedia:

According to a Russian military doctrine stated in 2010, nuclear weapons could be used by Russia "in response to the use of nuclear and other types of weapons of mass destruction against it or its allies, and also in case of aggression against Russia with the use of conventional weapons when the very existence of the state is threatened". Most military analysts believe that, in this case, Russia would pursue an 'escalate to de-escalate' strategy, initiating limited nuclear exchange to bring adversaries to the negotiating table. Russia will also threaten nuclear conflict to discourage initial escalation of any major conventional conflict.[

Game Changer? Immediate Referendums, Ukraine's Spent Reserves - Russian Ops in Ukraine 09/21/2022

Runtime - 34:20

Sep 20, 2022 Update on Russian military operations in Ukraine for September 21, 2022

- Referendums have been announced across Russian-held territory in Ukraine;
- If incorporated into the Russian Federation, Moscow could upgrade the special military operation significantly;
- The US Department of Defense, in a recent briefing, seems to acknowledge the limits of what aid it can provide Ukraine;
- Western analysts appear to agree that Ukraine’s offensives may have been a final gamble, exhausting their reserves and leaving them at the mercy of subsequent Russian escalations;

Transponders off

There are no trackable NATO aircraft from the Black Sea to the Baltics. Not one.

Only I could find were a RQ4 heading from Sigonella to Southern France (RICO28) and 3 AAR assets (1 Italian and 2 French) in Southern France

Right now there are several cargo planes and at least refueler. I check this almost nightly and this seems about normal for traffic at this time.

Putin has done little that has been expected.
The bigger consequences are when the canned sunshine illuminates your keyboard.
You are correct.

I would not have expected Putin to screw this up so much.

See we can agree. Cats and Dogs living together must be a new age of miracles!!!!

If it came down to brass tacks, we wouldn’t know that information. Several bunkers have green screens and AV facilities to make it look like the president is sitting wherever they want you to think he is sitting. For security reasons, the top people in our chain of command are scattered about in complete secrecy during heightened tensions. If threats were elevated and the Russians found out we were whisking away the presidential line of succession they may be inclined to preemptively attack fearing we will be getting ourselves in a ideal position to strike first.
might be time to follow Monkey Werx for sketchy gov jets scattering the demo rats to their gold plated bunkers.
