I took physical delivery of my silver yesterday. On the other side of the shop is a kratom/CBD seller. I decided to ask about their kratom, and why the stuff I got a couple years ago did nothing for my pain. So after engaging in a 15 minute discussion, I decided to buy an ounce of a strain they recommended for chronic pain. I took it this morning before leaving for work and I feel fantastic! Still have stiffness but no pain. It’s the first time in five years that I’ve been pain free. I think the strain was maeng da or something like that. The green one.

I just had to share.

I think everyone reacts differently. Like your first experience it did nothing for my dad and it screwed around with his other meds. Glad you found something that works for you.

Red Maeng Da is supposed to be the strongest for pain. It's the only thing keeping me sane right now.

It IS addictive... if you take it daily for weeks and then stop, you *will* have withdrawal. Try to take at least a day or two every week where you don't take any of it... or just realize you will become mildly dependent and make sure you always have some on hand.

So you can drive on this stuff? Maybe I should look into it.
Some strains are more sedative than others, but kratom is weird. It hits the opiate receptors (hence the addictive potential) but it does not depress the central nervous system. That's why I'm *extremely * skeptical about any reported overdose deaths. Thus far, I've never seen one which also didn't have other drugs in their system.

BTW, the damned CDC is trying to get the UN to ban kratom worldwide...

Been taking it for about 3+ years now.

A few of suggestions…

To maintain its efficacy, rotate the strains. E.g.

White Borneo - Monday
Green Kali - Tuesday
Red Thai - Wednesday

Also, if you don’t drink plenty of water, you could experience constipation.

Its dose specific - the more you take doesn’t = better experience. Smaller doses are more potent usually.

Buy in bulk for better price and find reputable company for good quality.

Whites tend to give you more energy while reds generally relax you. Greens are a good balance.

I have scripts for opiates, but rarely take them as Kratom (taken responsibly) is enough.

It can be habit forming, but nothing like an illicit use of H, OxyContin etc.

One last thing…the FDA is trying to have it classified as a schedule drug or ban importation!

Damn the CDC back to hell.

So tired if all of these evil opportunists who care nothing for healing or helping people have meaningful lives.

Yeah, chronic, severe pain life is what I have, and most options that make life tolerable are verbotten by my supposed betters who have force behind their decrees.

Damn them all.

maeng da is great for pain. bali is as well.

finding a reputable brand is key! this would be one of the very few times i would want gov involved.....to ensure that the customer gets what they are paying for as advertised. to make sure that there is a standard.

i have run into some very bad things with kratom. that does NOT mean that kratom should be banished as they want. it means that truth in advertising and standards of quality should be enforced.

there are some good brands. if one finds one that works, my suggestion is to get as much as you can asap. all kratom comes form overseas and they are having massive supply issues there, which means we have it here.

i'm really glad it worked for you!

From what the lady said, the red kratom has more sedative-like effects, and is generally taken in the evenings. The green is better for daytime. I took it and 30 minutes later jumped in the car and drove to work in heavy traffic. No drowsiness at all.
Thank you.

oddly enough, Thailand is in the process of full legalization.

Does it show up on a drug test? Hubs will ask before he'll agree to take it. He has horrible arthritis in one hip. I'd really like to see if this gives him some relief.

I just looked that up. The answer is no, not in the standard blood or UA screens. However, there are tests that will detect it, but those tests are only performed if it’s suspected that the person is using it and “they” want to be sure.

Yes, I took this for 2 years until the medical igits finally realized I had a broken labrum in my hip after my car was re-ended at a stop sign. I owned a interior plant service business and had to work with a broken hip. Kratom saved me.

The red is the best, it is addictive but the withdrawal is mild. Tincture is the true miracle, hard to make, hard to find but, it will keep you in paradise.

You must use several strains and rotate them or you will need to keep taking more and more of the one you use the most. Some of these strains can also be used for sleep, energy and depression, they are a miracle.

The taste of the powder will gag a maggot. I used peanut butter and honey to to choke it down, but you get about 5 hours of NO PAIN!

I have an opiod prescription for my (many decades long) chronic back pain, but in recent years doctors have been handing these out very sparingly. Anyone in a similar position should find that kratom really helps to stretch out your prescriptions. I freely told my provider that I take kratom and she is fine with it.

I want to try it for the ankylosing spondylitis in my back. I hurt constantly in many places. Sleep used to give me relief but now that pain wakes me up to find a new position. It really sucks.

I was told Kratom will mess with my blood pressure which has finally been controlled for two years now.
Any advice?

I use the Red Vein have for 8 years. Just received my capsule maker today and 5000 gel caps. I am buying up the powder now. Have bought premade capsules for years but its too expensive now when powder is a fraction of the cost.
I use KratomUSA.com and have for years.

here is what I remember.

Kratom works magic in many, others not so good. A level teaspoon can remove 100% of all pain in some people. It does not work on people who drink alcohol as alcohol kills the medicinal properties. If you want to wipe it our of your system, drink a shot of bourbon. It also delivers a form of "motivation" in some encouraging to get to work. It can make people constipated if they eat meats, pasta, dairy so 200mg magnesium should be taken 1/2 hr before. Better than anything the pharmacy had to offer. I used the red strains. its great to have on hand in prep supplies. Illegal in several states that have opium or Hydro issues. I was mixing it in a shot of iced tea as it comes from tea / coffee family. There are over eight alkaloids, and some scientists cannot figure out how it works. Can be addicting to some. When quitting, taper off to reduce hangover feeling. Can be used to help drug or alcohol users taper off drinking and drugs. it can keep some people up at night, it can help some to sleep. Different for all. It is mostly a muscle relaxer. It can tax liver / kidneys for people with issues. Chase with a full glass of water. That was what I learned. Dont need it anymore. I was in a wreck years ago, kratom saved the day and shocked my doctors to boot. I did PT in months / out instead of year +. Just dont abuse Baby spoons (PS - Vietnamese soldiers used it. It gave them motivation, resistance to pain, curbed appetite.)

I used it off and on for years worst part is getting it swallowed I mixed it with some warm water and chugged it down and followed with juice or something else it doesn't mix too well with liquids and taste like fresh mowed lawn grass.

Speaking strictly for myself as a first time user, no, it didn’t alter my brain chemistry. I write software for a living, so anything that messes with my head is out. Now, that being said, I walked into the office this morning with a spring in my step and a smile on my face. I was “happy” for the first time in ages. That was definitely new. So I guess it buoyed my attitude as well as relieved the pain.

Doesn't do a thing for me but I guess everyone is different.
My first experience a couple years ago was exactly the same. Bought through the Internet. Knew nothing about the seller. This time it was face-to-face OTC. In my conversation with them, they said source was extremely important. Hell, I might not even have been getting kratom last time.
