CHAT Am I overreacting, or are things getting absolutely grim?

from where I am, almost the center of the country, Nebraska, the worst places are the coasts and and the big dem controled cities, Omaha and Lincoln are the biggest cities around here. Omaha just re elected the mayor, and she carries a pistol, but they are having shotings almost nightly, all in the north east side of the city, you can guess the race,
but out here where I am, yes, stuff is more expensive, but churches and groups have food boxes every saturday, they will even deliver a box if needed, there are several farm trucks on the hiway every weekend selling sweetcorn and lots of other stuff,
neighborhood watches in the small town near me, ( think nosey old people and karens who watch everything) worst they do is whine about people not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign,. and heaven forbid a car go thru town with different liscense plates,
as long as you stay out of the bad parts of Omaha, your pretty good,
were pretty lucky to be out here.

As you stated, things are growing worse and even though most of us here have been closely monitoring events, it’s still almost surreal when things do unravel as they are…we’re not surprised, just coping with it…trying to take it all in.
I believe we’ve forfeited Gods blessings and we’re suffering (and definitely going to suffer more!) for allowing all the homos, pervs, evil, baby killers, and every other kind of blight on the earth to commit their evil and still live.
I never thought I’d be thinking this, let alone writing it publicly, but looking back, the live and let live philosophy didn’t work out so well, did it!
We, or the survivors of whats waiting for us, May have to exterminate the evil on sight in the future…like a virus in a host…kill or be killed, only one will make it out.
My best wishes to you all, and may the blessings of the Most High God be upon you all!

I think the hardest part is knowing What we were versus what we are becoming. It leaves me with a pit in my stomach. I guess if we didn’t know
better times it wouldn’t be so hard. And yet the don’t get it’s think things are

OK, jokes aside, it depends on where you live. As long as the riots and shootings and various other miscellaneous crap doesn't come to my lil town, things are fairly copacetic.
My theory is, Apocalypses happen on a major scale, but not all across the board.
During the Civil War, even in the South, some folks prospered.
In the Bible, not everyone will be affected by all the nastiness that occurs.

My Biblical eschatology is such that it all ends no later than 2028, seven years from now. Which means, a Great Tribulation is upon us. Shore up, buy more food. Get your family squared, and your close friends, have a plan....lots of plans.
Lets not forget the apocalypse equation....a mutually agreed upon nuclear exchange to keep the citizens occupied, and an order out of chaos. Daniel reminds us the leaders of two nations do not follow the agreement and likely nukes reign, rain, whatever.
Given the issues about to come to a head.......nukes could pop at any time.

Boss a lot depends on where you are and how you're situated. I'm currently not anticipating any immediate lifestyle changes but, what might be comfortable living now could change on a dime.
There are to many variable, way to many "What ifs...?". I'm a little at loss on how to prep or what to prep for. Yes I'm bumping up food storage etc. The thought of having to relocate and donate or abandon another store of preps doesn't fill my heart with joy.

Watched a video by JR Nyquist about ww3. Seems to fit what is happening. This is so close to the Deep Winter series it's like it was divine and you should be scared of the soulless libs and what they will do to us if allowed.

And yes, the world is getting crazy as hell as compared to the 60's-90's. I'm in a difficult point right now, a struggle of immense proportions, but that is when I shine the most. Giddy up.

Agreed. Tonight I’m sitting here still dumbstruck that I’m going to get fired for not taking a vaccine for something that has the survival rate of chicken pox. And that if I don’t get this jab, travel isn’t probably going to be in my future, so that lessens my options for getting a new job. My relatives are all angry with me for supporting Israel, and they (along with the whole world) support the “oppressed” Palestinians and Arabs. I’ve read articles about schools in conservative areas teaching LGBQT to kids, and oh yeah... they’re adding “pedosexual” to that list as well. We have an old man with dementia as our President, and our last election was totally rigged so that 80 million supposedly voted for this shell of a man. Climate change is a racial problem, being white is criminal, being Christian is racist, and oh yeah... China and Russia don’t even need to set foot on our land in order to bring it down. Online and cyber hacks are an every day occurrence, our dollar is about to crash hard and the housing market even harder, and let’s not forget that soon aliens and UFOs will be entering in the picture as a big ol’ distraction from whatever Great Reset is coming down the pike by the great and greedy world powers.
So yeah. I do not even recognize the world anymore. I’ve been thinking about and preparing for the End Times since the mid 2000s, and I always thought it would be one big event that changes things in an instant. I never thought I’d be witnessing it all go down like the proverbial frog in the pot of boiling water. How in the world did we get to this point??? How is our current reality worse than any fiction I could have dreamed up? I laugh at the fact that I thought one day we’d go from “normal” to “lights out and grid down” with me and my preps all ready to go. Nope. It’s been a slow and steady decay into the underworld.
Once many years ago a member said in a seemingly casual comment that mental and spiritual preparedness was the most important thing of all. How right they were.
So yeah. I do not even recognize the world anymore. I’ve been thinking about and preparing for the End Times since the mid 2000s, and I always thought it would be one big event that changes things in an instant. We can't.
We can go on being salt and light---but in a world that increasingly HATES the "sting" of our "salt" trying to stop the putrefaction process, and hates the "light" we allow to shine through us because it HURTS their consciences the way a floodlight hurts eyes accustomed only to darkness.
Only the return of the King will put this world to rights.
I pray for it more every day.

It’s why I work so hard to be in shape and healthy - No one knows, of course - ha, tomorrow I could get hit by a truck….and I certainly don’t mean to sound arrogant at all; but this has always been the background of my life - and I’m not kidding.
I was a four-year-old girl when I started to understand that He will return for us, and to now have to accept the reality we all see today; to spend a life serving the Lord with the hope of His return - well, I guess seeing all the dimensions of life today makes me sad in many, many ways - but it’s not really unexpected and my eyes must remain on Him, knowing He has me where He wants me and I’ll take it, come what may.
…but that doesn’t mean I’ll let the bad guys get me…..

In my immediate AO, I feel a change in the wind. The young conservatives (in their 30s and 40s) are tired of weak, ineffective conservative candidates. We are getting involved and we are *pissed*. My wife and I feel we were born for times such as these. We are not giving up, not by a long shot.
