POL Japan's prime minister visiting White house but not being greeted by the pResident

Wrong question. Just how bad is Joe functioning, that they can't let him greet the ambassador at the door?

THIS THIS THIS

from news reports I heard yesterday AND just this morning, it was SUPPOSED to be a SUMMIT between BIDEN and the Japanese Prime Minister.

I saw on the news that the only person I saw with the PM was Kamela--but didn't realize Biden wasn't there at all.

Something went very wrong--and they couldn't let him out in public today.

Wife has the news on and china joe and the Japanese PM are having a news conference together right now.

Oh, did they?

Wonder why they let Kamala be the "welcomer" then---yes that IS a slap at the PM, whether the fools meant it to be or not

I would hazard a wild-ass guess that Japan could go nuclear in a very short time.

If Biden pulls the American nuclear umbrella out from Japan, they would have no other way to deter China.

And yes, China hasn't forgotten the brutal invasion of Japan.

The left claimed Trump was a bafoon who's antics caused the US to lose stature in the world - particularly Europe. Here, Biden is acting in ways that either diplomatically insult leaders of other countries or reveal himself to be not really in charge or up to the task. He can't co-President with Kamala. He might say or take a position contrary to what she indicated in a meeting. No nation would be assured in where the US stood.

And what is with all this self-mutilation by the UN Ambassador and Kamala, cutting up the reputation of the United States as racist and evil? Talk about offensive and degrading. Who needs enemies to demonize us? It is obvious that they are tearing down the credibility, reputation, standing and influence of our country right and left. Who are they representing?

Japan has an estimated 45.5 tons of separated plutonium, with 8.9 tons at home and the rest in the UK and France where it's spent reactor fuel is reprocessed into MOX since though they've been building a plant of their own, it has been a political football for decades.

Considering that at its simplest, it takes between 5 to 10 kg of plutonium per nuclear weapon, and assuming 7.58 kg as an average, with the plutonium on hand in Japan, they've got enough to theoretically make 1,174 devices.

Understand that a fission weapon is based upon 1930s physics and munitions engineering and fissoin fusion weapons are 1950s evolutions of those foundations.

As for Japanese technical capabilities, the fact that they've flown their own asteroid rendezvous and sample return missions successfully should give you an idea.

This may be a setup to call internationally to forcefully remove Joe. He has snubbed enough folks that there might be cause to do so as no one wants a deranged leader in charge like we have with North Korea...

I didn't watch, but I gather after I went to bed Biden and the Japanese Prime Minister did make a public appearance together in front of reporters.

But I have no idea if he actually had real talks with the guy or if Kamala handled those, but at least by being in public together that probably avoided another diplomatic mess.

Biden Administration Conduct Hot Mess of Diplomatic Blunders During Japanese Prime Minister Visit

President Obama was well known for his diplomatic blunders, stumbles and curt demeanor with many foreign dignitaries including Queen Elizabeth II. Unsurprisingly it appears the JoeBama administration is picking up right where Obama left off.

Japanese Prime Minister Joshihide Suga was the first world leader to visit the White House since Biden’s installation, and the poor form began with no-one greeting the head of the Japanese government upon arrival. When you consider the leftist narrative about stopping Asian hate, there is a rather ironic aspect to this visit and snub.

Once Prime Minister Suga was inside the White House he was shunned for the greeting by his diplomatic peer, Joe Biden. Instead, Kamala Harris was dispatched to deliver introductory remarks. Beyond the inappropriate form, the subtle message of Kamala Harris being the acting head of the executive branch was on display.

Once PM Suga and Joe Biden sat down things got worse. By the time they both attended the Rose Garden joint press conference, Biden was calling Japanese Master’s Champion Hideki Matsuyama “a boy”. Biden said: “I know how proud you are of the people of Japan are. And you’ve got a Japanese boy coming over here, and guess what, he won the Masters.

WATCH:

.
Biden looks completely lost…. watch him, it’s actually quite remarkable how lost he is:

.
The press conference….

I know.

I was away from the TV when the presser showing the pResident and the Japanese prime minister was being shown but when I heard him say that a "japanese boy" won the Masters I just about died. Is this asshat TRYING to piss off an ally of ours or what. Because he's doing a damned good job of totally screwing the pooch on this state visit. Are there not ANY adults over at the white house keeping an eye on this senile old fool? For the love of GOD he WAS vice president for 8 years, he has to know this was a frigging whack in the face with a wet fish to the Japanese people.

*shaking my head*. The Prime Minister has to be heading home saying to himself. "what a friggin shitshow THAT was"

Joe was overheard saying something to the effect
"Aren't those the guys that bombed Hawaii? we're at war with em right?"
"Let em wait~~"
No. Joe probably thinks it was the Germans or Russia that bombed Pearl Harbor.

The Japanese delegation sought to validate/verify for themselves that the Biden administration is non-functional.

They accomplished their mission.

For whatever reason, am I smelling an element of Team Trump somewhere in the deeply shadowed background of this mess?

Were the Japanese the point folks designated to show the world, right out in the open for ALL to see, that the Biden administration is truly "out-to-lunch?"

How have the U.S. MSM been covering this visit?

How about the UK MSM?

Remember FDR's famous dictum: "In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way."

A reveal.

Calling him a "boy" and by his personal name without even an honorific - my housemate was Akikochan to me and Akikosan in a formal situation. Once we'd lived together for a couple of months "Kiko" was ok in private - that was her nickname but you earned trust before you could use it.

No one ever said this and yep Americans tended to be over-familiar all the time and the Japanese students were bright enough to know it was well-meaning and not an insult.

But on the diplomatic level, this is insane.

And if I know that (and I'm not trained in diplomacy) you can bet the State Department advisors know it and probably spending today in emergency meetings trying to figure out how to undo the damage.

I am starting to suspect that part of the reason for this visit was for the Japanese to see for themselves just what was going on in Washington.

Now that they know, I agree with others that the screwdrivers are likely to be working overtime in Japan. I won't be surprised if they even announce themselves as a nuclear power within the next couple of months.

There are only empty suits running the shit show at this point IMO.

Much like in formal, high German a person in authority always was addressed by "Sie" not the familiar version of "du."

Using Sie changes the entire language structure. To use du when Sie is required is an insult, or maybe just by an uncouth American tourist.

Typically the switch over from the formal you to familiar version was only after the higher status person ok'ed the change.

I am still having a problem with the southern American "miss/mrs first name" and not frau.

Seems like a strange admixture of polite and familiar combined into one.

Funny, if you go to the Google main page they make it sound like Republicans are in total disarray and the public is solidly behind our dear leader Biden.

Propaganda or self-delusion?

Here is the kicker, Biden/kamala appear to be one term wonders. Who is replacing them in 2024? Will it be a Don/Ron ticket? Will it be a Hillary ticket? Who would be worse then what we have now? The answer to that is the disturbing one...

Nightwolf just said the same thing and used a German Policeman as an example of what not to do, in fact using the wrong form of address in Germany to a policeman can get you arrested!

The Miss first name in the South was mostly used by children in semi-familiar situations in the South when my family moved there in the early 1970s. It was kind of an in-between way for children and even teenagers to address a person they knew well who was older than they were, without simply using the first name as if they were the same age.

So for example my mother would be Miss Ginny to the kids in her daycare but Mrs. Clarke in most public situations especially anything formal. Her adult friends near her age would call her Ginny, younger adult friends would call her Miss Ginny and the bank clerk would call her Mrs. Clarke.

Over the years on trips back, I noticed how more and more the Miss First Name had become popular for a lot of social situations that previously would have used either Miss with last name or Mrs. with last names.

It Was Worse Than We Thought: NO ONE Met Japanese Prime Minister at the White House Door Except Stationary Army Guard

In a highly disrespectful and embarrassing move, Kamala Harris welcomed Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga to the White House on Friday.

Joe Biden was nowhere to be found as Kamala Harris welcomed Yoshihide Suga, the first foreign leader to visit the Biden White House.

But it was way worse than we originally reported.

No one met Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga at the door when he arrived.

The only one standing there was a stationary Army guard.

Then when Vice President Kamala was sent down to greet the Japanese Prime Minister she spent more than a full minute trashing the US as a violent place as Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga stood next to her waiting to be introduced.

“Good morning! I briefly want to discuss the tragedy that occurred in Indianapolis last night. Yet again we have families in our country that are grieving the loss of their family members because of gun violence,” Kamala Harris said as the Japanese Prime Minister stood next to her.

After ranting for more than a full minute, Kamala Harris finally welcomed Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga to the White House.

What a disgrace!
