Good Morning, All!
Hope all in the storm lines that went through last evening stayed safe ; oldest grandson was out in it as the co-op had outages in several areas; most were north and west of us. We had, and still have some wind, but it's not nearly as bad this morning. I looked out the door to see what the weather was doing while I was waiting for my coffee to be done and we have a very big full moon lighting up the sky over west of our machine shed with clouds skittering behind it - spooky looking! I'm too lazy right now to grab a flashlight and boots to see how much rain is in the rain gauge, but it doesn't look like much from here. Hoping it's not much as I want to get some more composted manure from the sale barn to add to my raised beds this coming week.
Hubby came home from work yesterday with some boards to make boxes to raise the height of my raised beds in the south garden - he'd made the mistake of telling me he was going to Home Depot to get new wheels for his 42 year old toolbox as one had broken, so I handed him money and told him what I wanted - over $200 for 12 2x8x8's! That sure took a chunk out of my garden budget! Sure glad we aren't doing any major building this year! I need to get more boards to replace the old ones on the picnic table; we may just have to eat our al fresco meals on the porch table instead, or get boards at the local sawmill and sand and paint them.
Wednesday I have to go get the taxes done; then I will probably pick up the grandsons after school; they are going to be with me and the other grandparents during Spring Break as daughter is going to escape for a few days. I guess that means I need to throw an opaque tub in the van 'cause I'm planning to do my Easter basket shopping on the way home from taxes. I picked up swim masks and kickballs Friday on my way home from work; now to find some swim trunks and maybe a new water balloon launcher...
No major plans for today other sweeping the porch, cooking something to carry in my work lunches today and tomorrow, figuring out where my moon sign book is, doing laundry, and taking a nap before I head in to work - Hubby doesn't have to work Sunday and Monday, and no wife around to point out Honey-do jobs after I crash, so he should have a good weekend too lol!
Take care, All - stay safe!!
