BRKG Watch Pennsylvania Legislative Election hearing LIVE now

If this was a legal proceeding to somehow change the certification of votes in PA...then there would be no reason to bring other states into the conversation. I’m also pretty sure that, unless Trump is providing testimony, there would be no need for him to present anything.

Normally committee hearings are held at the behest of the legislative body and they ask the questions. This looks like Rudy was running the show...was this held at a state building or a hotel somewhere?
Quit hijacking the thread with your BS.

I think folks are confused by the purpose of the hearing...this isn’t like someone testifying before congress...it’s a public airing of grievances...
I don't think any is confused at all, 'cept maybe you. so to help you out:

Upon the request of Pennsylvania Senator Doug Mastriano (R), the state's Senate Majority Policy Committee is holding a public hearing to discuss election issues and irregularities at 12:30 ET.

Isn't that plain enough?

So, going back to the OP, the screen cap states the PA State Legislature is holding this, I guess that makes it a bit more official. Maybe at a hotel for square footage purposes.

Yeah, that's what I guess I'm missing, a bunch of evidence but why in a motel? I'm tripping up over the venue.
I mentioned city council meeting because people are free to come in and give opinions as well as testimony...a congressional hearing involved people that are invited, sworn in, asked questions, etc...

Are you sure about that?

Maybe it's a security issue, where the public is easier to admit to a public location. Perhaps the expected and desired attendance numbers were more that the state house could accomodate. Heck, maybe someone tried to stall the meeting by not signing authorization to use the government facilities and the venue was moved to allow it to take place, bypassing a roadblock. Who knows?

My assumption would be STATE Committee rooms are rather small. Ya ought to see some of those in MS like closets. So with public input would need a bigger venue.

That was my point...the vibe I got from some posters was that this was a legislative hearing and not a public hearing.

The Pennsylvania State Senate Majority Policy Committee plans to meet Wednesday in Gettysburg to air complaints of voter fraud to the public.

“Over the past few weeks, I have heard from thousands of Pennsylvanians regarding issues experienced at the polls, irregularities with the mail-in voting system, and concerns whether their vote was counted,” State Sen. David Argall, R-Mahanoy City said in a statement. “We need to correct these issues to restore faith in our republic.”

You do know what a Committee Room hearing is don't you? After all you've been watching them for the last 4 years. And even those committee rooms in DC wouldn't hold "the public".

These hearings are the first step in a process, most of the time takes years, but hoping this one doesn't. Once the hearing is over, the committee will decide whether to turn over the certain items for prosecution, to the State AG, investigations to proceed on what ever front etc......

Whether its in a hotel, or closet, the evidence and testimony will proceed to the next level. Or at least should.

That was my point in post #85...the people providing testimony weren't summoned or subpoenaed, sworn in, etc...

That's what threw me off at first...they way the tables were arranged it felt like a normal committee hearing where folks are questioned...there's a table of lawyers, etc. These are usually one-sided with the committee running the show.

Any public hearing I've watched or been involved with, logistically didn't look like the proceeding today. They are more 'open mic' type events where folks come up and say whatever it is they want to say.

That's why I said it felt like Rudy was running the show...

You need to work on your act a bit better:

Each Senator at the hearing will give a five-minute opening statement followed by witnesses willing to present affidavits attesting to voter fraud in the 2020 election.

That by itself is sworn, under oath, testimony. And if their open public statements differ from sworn affidavits, the person is subject to 5 years of imprisonment.

The meaning should be: Here is written sworn affidavits. Public testimony is in support of that. Public testimony is so the public can hear what was in the written sworn under oath affidavits.

Always looking for details I may have missed.
Heard Trump's call to the hearing live, and it was wonderful. But even more important was the people testifying earlier. The good People of Pennsylvania are fighting back. There's hope, and it sure sounds like Trump is still committed to this fight.

Rudy, due to a question being asked at the hearing by a committee member, just answered your question.

The testimony today by witnesses, was in support of THEIR sworn affidavits. And only theirs.

If the committee wanted they could bring in another hundred or so witnesses to support their sworn affidavits. They would have to get a bigger room.

This committee will take this testimony and affidavits and give it to both houses for action.

Rudy also stressed that election officials were only delegated their duties by the legislature, and when those officials didn't follow the law, they promoted fraud.

You appear on numerous threads, especially related to Trump and the re-election fraud, intentionally disrupting them, distracting from the topic, and spreading chaos. Nobody is fooled by your BS. You're busted as a wise ass troll.

There is a two-fold purpose of this hearing:

1) To make the PA state legislature realize that THEY have Constitutional authority and power to take back the power they delegated to state officials for the proper administration of fair elections, and to suggest that they TAKE BACK that delegated authority and prevent the fraudulent PA votes from being certified. This is clearly within the legislature's power (and it's controlled by Republicans, by the way).

2) As a side benefit, it allows for the public airing of grievances in an atmosphere of media disinformation.
