Even if they pull the COVID stunt they can't hide his cognitive decline forever. I suspect we will hear that he had a heart attack, stroke, or something. Anything that can pull him out of having to answer for the legal problems that are piling up.

OR...give me some room here...The debate starts. Questions, answers, Biden rolling his eyes, yada, yada. Biden is asked a question, he gets up from his chair and starts to answer but starts babbling about, uh, something. Trump has a puzzled look on his face as in "I didn't understand a word he said". A few more questions, answers and Biden again stands to answer and it goes from bad to worse. Trump, being the gentleman that he is, goes to he moderators and suggests they close it down as Biden is just not making any sense and nothing is really being accomplished...then Trump gets re-elected!

Yes ... he’ll be on some good stuff. His questions are already given to him and his answers in his head. He has strategic jabs for Trump, and Trump better not go in thinking it’s a cake walk. I think they’re playing us.

No way. It will be a total surprise, gosh we had no idea, there was no clue this might happen, we're so mortified, but we'll soldier along and we know our friends will understand. The excuse will be either WuFlu, or (my favorite) a Jill medical emergency. It will happen Monday or early Tuesday. And if I'm wrong, I hope to see Gropey Joe burst into flames like the Hindenburg and crash smoking to the ground.

If they do debate, Biden's handlers (Adult Daycare) will have his right ear so puttied up to hide the earpiece, that I don't think they'll be able to hide it.

I'll be watching to see what both of Biden's ears look like and also where his eyes wonder when he's supposed to be talking. V

If Trump would just turn to him and take over the conversations plus ask Biden questions, including bringing up Hunter and the $$$, to fluster him, that would definitely knock him off his game. He needs to be aggressive early on but not mean. Get him twisted and confused and Joe’s mouth should turn into a gaffe machine.
I’ve been praying a bunch the last few days for God to expose Bidens gaffes to the world on Tuesday. That they are so bad, most sane people will see it.

I vote yes. It's almost too late to pull the "I'm feeling sick, Mom" excuse, so, he'll show up.

I'm going with a surprise "alertness" achieved with some sort of booster medication. (and an earpiece.)

He'll be on the offensive with lots of "Come on man, look at the facts!" over and over again with Trump playing defense with the actual facts. He'll most definitely bring up his dead son when talking about healthcare and somehow work that son in with the attacks on his criminal son should Trump bring him up.

Chris Wallace will step in each time to deflect for Biden.

Both men will say something out the box but the MSM will only show the Trump shockers in a derogatory way.

No, it's too early right now. If there's a surprise illness, it will be Monday or early Tuesday, with total shock simulated by all the hired talking heads.

As a very pessimistic doomer, I am always going to look for the bad,

before something good.

Biden will show up, and give one of the greatest performances
of his political career, and it will rally the POS damocraps.

I don't see how Biden can possibly perform in a debate. lt's elder abuse the way the media and DNC are propping him up.

I voted he will show up but I am fully prepared to be wrong.

It all depends on just how bad Uncle Joe actually is or is not at this point in time, and really only a few people know the true answer to that.

If "they" think they can pump him up on memory drugs and hide and earpiece he will be there, especially if they know the moderator is going to be very soft on Joe and hard on Trump.

If Uncle Joe still collapses or just a terrible job on air anyway, the Democratic committee has a "mandate" to be "forced" to "reluctantly" pick someone else.

If he can manage to "stun" everyone with a short but moderately decent performance, it changes the paradigm again and the Democrats can say "see this was all vile rumors, the man is fine!"

Either way, they kind of "win" this one if that is their intention at this time.

If Uncle Joe has a sudden illness or needs to quarantine on Monday or Tuesday morning, I think the cat will be out of the bag and the Democratic Committee will either replace him or we know they really are not trying all that hard to win this round.

And with an obvious economic collapse on the way (great or small, but it will almost certainly happen), at least a few more months of COVID (if not longer), and a potential war with China and/or in the Middle East means that neither major party may be really excited about being the figurehead for what is coming.

While I think there is a part of Trump that wants to win because he's all about "winning" things like his conversations with Bob Woodward of all people, and some other hints have made me wonder if he was told to run for a second term or else and he's looking for a "third way" that protects his family and himself.

This scenario. I tried to put the same thoughts I had into words on a thread somewhere, awhile back. Trump would be a gentleman but getting up, politely asking to halt the debate due to Biden flailing around, would be exactly a “Trump move”.

And he’d probably feel genuinely sorry for the guy but use the moment to showcase the sad situation for what it truly is.

Room goes to total silence.

What a Very powerful moment that would be.

Me too. I hated thinking about it but we have to think the worse so we won't be surprised. BUT, if it doesn't work out that way, just imagine how HAPPY we'll be when Biden shows his true colors and falls flat not only on his responses but his face.....literally!!!! :jstr:

Voted no, but if they do it will be that Alzheimer's cocktail that works for an hour. The only problem with that stuff is that its hard on the body. I'm sure one of the medical people could explain this more. For the layman go back and view the older debates and look at starting hildog vs ending hildog.

We've seen his many mental lapses, but we make a mistake if we think that's the entirety of his appearances. He can appear lucid at times - take his one on one with Bernie for instance.

However, none of his 2019-20 debate performances have been particularly strong. I don't expect a stellar performance if he shows up Tues, and there is a risk of disaster. But I would bet that if they let him show up, he has a decent shot at being just okay enough. Just like many of his primary debates and his convention speech.

Even at "just okay", though, Trump can still run circles around him if he plays it right.

Biden is getting all practiced up to play the constant demon-crat game. It goes like this...

When asked a question, it is an opportunity to attack President Trump.
Biden will not answer questions that are asked, but will instead repeat rehearsed attack talking points.

Seen this game played all too often.

But, demon-crats haven't quite realized what a disaster this plan really is.
They don't realize how crazy and foolish Tim Whats.his.face from virginia came off when debating Mike Pence 4 years ago.
