Rush was talking about this yesterday (at noon, interestingly, BEFORE she passed away)--
He was saying that IF the DAMOCRATS win, THEN:
1. They will immediately grant STATEHOOD to Puerto Rico and Washington DC--automatically creating FOUR NEW DEM Senators---and giving themselves an unbeatable majority in the Senate. The two-party system would essentially cease to exist, and no Republicans would EVER be in charge of the House, Senate, or Presidency again.
To ENSURE this, the Democratic Congress resulting from #1 above would NEXT...
2. They will vote to abolish the filibuster, automatically making just a simple majority -- 51 votes rather than 66%-- required to pass any legislation
3. They will PACK the Supreme Court with all-liberal judges
DEMOCRAT / SOCIALIST / COMMUNISTS in charge of the Executive (Presidency)
DEMOCRAT / SOCIALIST / COMMUNISTS in charge of the legislative (Congress)
DEMOCRAT / SOCIALIST / COMMUNISTS in charge of the judicial (Supreme Courts--and all lower courts)

Actually, the Bush v. Gore matter was ruled on by the Florida Supreme Court before heading to the Supreme Court.
If there are electoral vote disputes within a state, they would most likely be ruled on by that state's highest court. If the Supreme Court then deadlocked 4-4, the state ruling would prevail.
If there is a dispute on Congressional rules, I'm not sure if it proceeds directly to the Supreme Court or not.
Generally the only cases that go directly to the Supreme Court at the start are those involving ambassadors and those involving disputes between two or more states.

You know, you could be right. If he tries to choose now it will be all-out Trump derangement hysteria, and they will manage to block/delay it somehow so it won't happen anyway. It might end up making him look desperate. If he just calmly waits it will drive them NUTS! Because they will know it's because he's so sure of winning. Then when he wins he can just calmly nominate a conservative. If for some reason he loses, we're toast anyway.

My aunt who was my moms sister died at the age of 104, and she never entered a nursing home. She lived with her daughter, and she went out to the VA and played cards with the old men 3x a wk and got all dressed up! Back then though the people ate more fresh food with no chemicals so i believe that is why they lived longer. All my moms sisters lived to be in their mid 90's. They all lived on a farm when young and ate fresh meat and veggies.
