I had never heard of them, but find

I had just cut some of these yesterday and yes they light up under UV light, because it is daylight I had to stand in the cupboard with the UV torch and they are really interesting. I was going to carve them in the form of Dalmatian dogs because of the spottiness of the stone.

Yes Aggregations formed with basalts and rolled with water and ice, found in moraines, rivers, lakes, beaches. Mainly found as composites of basalts, porphyries, and andesites. It is complex but really interesting, for some ... ;) the full explanation is not so simple.

It's pretty hot here too, and was on the north shore as well. We've had mid to high 90s for about two weeks, and just recently the dew point finally went down. So, you're not alone.

Well, your heart was certainly in the right place, trying.

Superior’s north shore is sure where I would have gone to (hopefully) escape, had I the immediate means.....

I see a bottle of liquid. Where is the coprolite?
baahaahaaa.....I had to look that up....thanks, I learned a new word.....I belonged to a prospecting group, we laughed because the rock I found looked like fossilized poo.....I crushed that dang coprolite into itty bitty sand particles, and panned them..... it was my lucky poo, I guess
