Well, I've been doing a lot of heavy digging the past several days - and the job is not getting any smaller! But this area has nothing but heavy silt and lots and lots and LOTS of rocks. Enjoying rocks as I do, I toss aside several to examine later. Pretty sure I've come across some red or black jade (still testing) but in looking it up I came across a photo of jade porphyry that looks similar to the OP; the igneous rock is replaced, atom by atom, by the jade. Pretty cool....and now back to the digging. It gets hard once you're shoulder deep!
