Protesters yell at police while rubber bullets are fired at the crowd in Los Angeles, on May 30. CNN

Police vehicles were vandalized — with windows being kicked in and cars being sprayed with graffiti — in Los Angeles Saturday.
Police also shot off rubber bullets, according to CNN's Paul Vercammen
The demonstrations started with chants of "Black Lives Matter" and "George Floyd."
Protesters said the demonstrations began peacefully with a march, but then they said police tried to hold them off from moving forward and that's when the confrontation started.
No arrests have been made at this point, Vercammen reported.

Police swing batons at protesters in L.A.
Police in Los Angeles are swinging batons and firing rubber bullets at protesters as they try to move demonstrators back.
Protesters appear to be throwing objects at police offers.
"Move back, stop hitting us," a man could be heard yelling from a megaphone as police hit protesters with batons.

Officer fatally shot during Oakland protest in "act of domestic terrorism"
From CNN's Hollie Silverman

An officer contracted by the Federal Protective Service of the Department of Homeland Security was shot and killed Friday night in Oakland, California, the FBI said in a statement.
A second contract officer was also injured and is in critical condition, acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf said during a news conference Saturday.
"As of late we have witnessed an outright assault on our law enforcement community. Last night in Oakland, California an assassin cowardly shot two Federal Protective Service contractors as they stood watch over a protest," Wolf said.
"Let me be clear when someone targets a police officer or a police station with an intention to do harm and intimidate, that is an act of domestic terrorism," DHS Acting Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli said during a news conference Saturday.

I wonder if the protesters have the slightest clue that they were on full motion 4K video? Facial recognition software is used in a 4 block radius of the place. You're tagged by SS if you're walking in the area and they catch a whiff of fuel on your shoes........
I'd hate to be one of the brick throwers. Their entire life is now known to the secret service. Literally. One hit on a pic and the trail goes back to birth (and you wonder why NSA built all those super duper data collection centers.....).
If they come back tonight the SS will call them out by name when they're arresting them. Protesters in the DC area are generally pretty clueless in that respect.
I don't think that matters, AlfaMan. If you remember all the people arrested in DC back on Trump's Inaguration Day, you will find the DC juries let them ALL OFF. So, unless these White House storming types get federal charges, etc they will walk just like all the earlier one did.

If the Canadians are rioting, then it really is game over! Has Trudeau actually confiscated all the firearms, or is he just whining still?

I don't know why but the mere idea of Canadians rioting really freaks me out!

They're going specifically for the WH-it will be federal charges. Attacking secret service cops is federal offense as well.
Even if they end up somehow "walked"-if you did something in the WH vicinity it's NEVER forgotten. Ask those who tried to apply for federal jobs and for some reason didn't get them. At least here in the DC area.

Yeah, and if the brick throwers and the justice system are one and the same agency, what is there to fear? Organizing is one of the few things that bunch does well, and the lawyers funds are already in place, and the lawyers are geared up to take care of the details

Just got a text from DC PD. I-395 at Maine av (exit for the DC waterfront and Fort McNair) is shut down due to protesters in the road.
Just got a new one-17th st and PA av. blocked with demonstration activity. That street runs along the left side of the pedestrian entrance to the WH and LaFayette park. That street is probably a kill box-SS on the rooftops.

Rioters in San Jose whined that police didn’t come save them after a car that they mobbed turned around and ran them over.

Two people were sent to the hospital, according to one of the rioters.

We were out here protesting peacefully and a stupid ass trump supporter comes and hits us with their car. They hit two innocents and sent them to the hospital. The police did not one thing to that car. Share the video for awareness!!!! #protest #blacklivesmatter pic.twitter.com/WnNAzZbVO9

TRENDING: VIDEO: Leftist Protester Killed, Dragged by FedEx Truck in Downtown St. Louis after Mob Shuts Down Highway and Attack His Truck

“The police did not one thing to that car,” the person who filmed it wrote.

The rioters were screaming at the car to come back, but seemed extremely shocked when they actually did.
Everyone be safe out there! These trump supporters are out here running people over and hunting us down!!!

In a follow up stream, the person who filmed, “Fitboy Mikeyy,” said that they ran to a house and hid.

“Me and Saul were waking back to our car leaving the protest, a car pulls up as were in the backstreets a SUV makes a u-turn and starts chasing us. START ****ING CHASING US. A car full of white people . We run to the nearest house and hide in the back for like 5 min,” he tweeted with a video.

50+ states??? Wow, I guess I missed more in the overnight hours than I thought. What other states did we add while I was sleeping???

Also, finding it hard to believe that Wyoming, Alaska, and Hawaii are rioting. But maybe I missed that, too...
Yeah, no. We’re busy enjoying our re-opened state and getting our gardens in. A couple protests were planned in Anchorage but didn’t make any news. Enjoying a little afternoon shower in the MatSu Valley this afternoon. I only wish I could share the sounds and scents.

I know I picked the right state to live in vis a vis Covid19 and riots...it’s hard to believe it’s the same country sometimes. :(

seriously, Alfaman is going to have them storming his front yard if they keep pushing things in DC. It takes a real set of cajones to storm the White House, unless you are looking for a good Boston Massacre type of situation. As for moi, Doomer Doug is taking my AR-15 out and loading a couple of mags, just in case. :ld:

Did I mention that trying to storm the residence of the President, any president, AlfaMan tends to result in large amounts of firing in the direction of such people trying to storm the White House? :shkr:

Useful info, thanks. Don't even know where my local protest is, which is probably for best cause I'm gettin' over sad and really pissed right now.
Oddly, I've followed the whole thing with zero emotion. Was pissed, sad, etc. during earlier riots, like Ferguson. This one...I just don't care. No idea why....I get that it is serious (possibly Archduke Franz Ferdinand serious)- the New Normal, AGAIN, and we were just getting sorta used to WuFlu *Normal.* Covid lock-down was so...March, April, May. To Hell with that crisis, this is for JUNE!

Dunno, whiplash, maybe?

I doubt they will storm my place-if they do it's a given I needed fertilizer for the flower garden and they appeared to be most happy to provide :)

It's interesting really. I trimmed the mint plants this afternoon and must have had 20 people in the complex come by, chat and admire the flowers (hibiscus plants must have grown a foot in the last day!). Most were black, Mexican, white, etc. All races, walking with the kids, grandparents etc. It was pleasant. A lot took sprigs of mint for their homes, it smells really good!
And not one person mentioned the protests. None cared about it; northern VA just went into phase one reopening yesterday-people were more interested in socializing and getting out than the riots.

Yup, "desensitization" comes into play. Think I'm pissed cause people whom I care about are too close to hotspots, yet again, same as the Virus BS, and all because some SOBs think we're a bunch of pawns on a chess boards, and only their lives matter. That angers the hell out of me, and it doesn't help that there is naught for me to do. NOT being emotionally triggered is really the better option of the two, so wtg! : )
