Valerie Jarrett: Trump’s Embrace of White Supremacists ‘Fueling Anger’ of Protesters

It seems obvious now that this is another deep state operation. Anything to harm Trump and win the election. They were just waiting for opportunities to start riots. When you have areas where citizens have taken on the Obama mindset then it is not too hard to send a few trained operatives out to kick things off and fan the flames. And the media will do there part too.

I knew when I looked at George and thought, damn he's built like a bouncer. They all have links with cops as club security, nationwide, they snitch on the dealers. Floyd's a white hat.

when cops on live mic are laughing about enriching themselves during a riot spree? well...

I'd say what's left of Mpls police dept. is laying in smoking ruins in the 3rd precinct filing cabinets so their corruption gets buried by a bulldozer. It will have to be re established, city will likely be occupied by troops soon. You have kin up there, time to go camp/fish.

elsewhere chan are saying the following, you will have to go read it yourselves, summary:

- Chauvin and Floyd were both working security at El Nuevo Rodeo, overlapping shifts
- That the building with the nightclub also houses La Raza Radio of Mpls.
- The radio station is offline due to power outage & station owner upset, leaked truth out
- Chauvin's wife got caught kiting check(s), $2500 worth
- $900,000 in Chinese counterfeit currency was raided back in January, news articles on it
- Floyd was passing one of the couterfeit bills and a store employee called the cops

at this point any sane person says, this is a huge takedown operation as the state was up for grabs top to bottom, and let the feds clean house.

— Rep. Keith Ellison (@keithellison) January 3, 2018

On Wednesday, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), the Democratic National Committee’s deputy chair, tweeted a photo of himself cheekily smiling with a copy of “Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook.” His caption: “I just found the book that strike [sic] fear in the heart of @realdonaldtrump.”

Obnoxious and wrong: Violence prompts moderates to support the side being attacked against the one violating civic norms. Antifa helps Trump.

Yet it also plays well on the left, feeding fantasies of a serious threat from right-wing extremists. And Ellison, who spent years defending the odious Louis Farrakhan, is a radical who gains from that polarization.

In short, he wasn’t just trolling the right for kicks, he was baiting liberals like House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who have denounced antifa’s thuggery.

When you talk about antifa, Pelosi said, “you’re not talking about the far left of the Democratic Party — they’re not even Democrats.”

Ellison plainly disagrees.

They did bring upon themselves and the entire city suffers for it. That does not justify the violence and looting in any way.

The actions of the cop and inactions of city 'leaders' combined are the root cause for a great deal of suffering and loss to innocents in the city at the hands of lawless vandals. In the end only the city leaders and the rioters that caused the widespread harm win because none of them nor their victims will ever see justice.
And I see it a bit differently. Any citizen who is willing to "Take Revenge" in this manor is the real cause of this violence. They have no right to blame anyone else. It is all on them. They are completely guilty for their actions. They did not just attack those that they considered responsible for some wrong. They attacked everyone. And that is where they lost any justification for their actions. And their itching ears are just longing to hear someone say that someone else is responsible for these uncivil riotous acts. It just feeds there justification for acting like animals. And then so many innocent people suffer.

How could he work as security with that kind of record? I thought security personal status kind of gave me the assurance there was a limit to the criminality a man could have been caught at

It depends on who is doing the hiring.

If he worked "in house", directly for the establishment, they can hire whoever they want. If he was a contractor, it falls under state regulation and he would have to undergo a background check.

When Prince was found dead in the elevator of his Paisley Park studios, his last Cub foods receipt was found in his dressing room. Recall he rode a bike in a wig to pick up his scrip and paid cash incognito?

The four Fleet enemas he purchased suggests he had serious constipation, side effect of opioid addiction. His *security entourage* likely were into procuring Chinese fentanyl as a sideshow. Prince probably died a hero too. Let it play out.

What you need to know
  • Two days after the death of an unarmed black man at the hands of a police officer, protesters demonstrated in at least five major US cities.
  • The unrest followed the shock and anger that poured through communities across the country as video of George Floyd's last moments alive circulated on social media.
  • Four officers involved in the man's death have been fired from the Minneapolis Police Department. But Floyd's family say they want murder charges against them.
  • In Minneapolis, protesters have set a police precinct building on fire. More than 500 troops from the Minnesota National Guard are heading to Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Protests swept across a number of major American cities on Thursday, with crowds taking to the streets to demand action against police brutality and accountability for several related deaths.
Minneapolis and St. Paul, known as the "Twin Cities" of Minnesota, both saw huge protests. In St. Paul, protesters faced off against riot police, batting tear gas canisters back and forth. More than 170 businesses were looted or damaged by the protests, police said.

And in Minneapolis, thousands of protesters surrounded a police precinct and set it on fire. They spray-painted the sides of the building, tried to climb up it, and cheered as the flames engulfed the building.
All staff inside had been evacuated prior to the fire.

Minneapolis mayor responds to Trump accusation of weakness

a90530f8-f6e6-42e9-8a39-600c5921c0a7.jpg

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has responded to President Trump's tweet, which accused Frey earlier tonight of weak leadership.
Trump's tweet: "A total lack of leadership. Either the very weak radical left mayor, Jacob Frey, get his act together and bring the city under control, or I will send in the National Guard and get the job done right," Trump said.
Frey's response: The mayor addressed the President's comments at a press conference tonight.
"Weakness is refusing to take responsibility for your own actions. Weakness is pointing your finger at somebody else, during a time of crisis. Donald Trump knows nothing about the strength of Minneapolis. We are strong as hell. Is this a difficult time period? Yes. But you better be damn sure that we're going to get through this," he said.

Minneapolis Mayor: Looting and destruction are "unacceptable"

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey condemned the looting and destruction seen in the city tonight during violent protests.
"What we have seen over the past several hours and the past couple of nights in terms of looting is unacceptable," he said at a press conference. "Our communities cannot and will not tolerate it."
"These are community institutions that we need. These are banks that people rely on to get cash. Grocery stores that people rely on to get food. These are pharmacies people rely on to get medicine," he said.
He added that the city had received resources from the state, and that further aid is expected.

On the burning police station: A police precinct was set on fire, vandalized and surrounded by protesters tonight -- but there was no sign of the police or firefighters. When asked why, Frey pointed to other fires and looting incidents that officers had to respond to as well.
The Minnesota National Guard, which was mobilized earlier in the evening, are now stationed at various locations facing potential looting, including banks, grocery stores, and pharmacies, he said.
"I understand the importance of a precinct," he said. "(But) the symbolism of a building cannot outweigh the importance of life, of our officers, or the public. We could not risk serious injury to anyone and we will continue to patrol the third precinct entirely."

St. Paul police say more than 170 businesses were damaged or looted during protests

More than 170 businesses in St. Paul, Minnesota, were damaged or looted during tonight's ongoing protests over the death of George Floyd, according to the city police department.
“As Thursday turns to Friday, our officers continue to work shoulder-to-shoulder with local, state, federal and fire partners to protect St. Paul. More than 170 businesses damaged or looted. Dozens of fires. Thankfully, no reports of serious injuries. Calm on the horizon,” the St. Paul Police Department tweeted.
Crowds of protesters have faced off with riot police in St. Paul throughout the evening and overnight hours, with police throwing tear gas, and protesters throwing it right back.
There were reports earlier Thursday of protesters targeting stores like TJ Maxx and Target.
As evening fell, the Minnesota National Guard was activated, with more than 500 soldiers sent to St. Paul and Minneapolis, where fiery protests have also broken out.

Louisville mayor urges peace as protests continue

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer called for peace and order in the Kentucky city as protests continue to escalate.

“Understandably, emotions are high. As Breonna’s mother says, let’s be peaceful as we work toward truth and justice," he posted on his official Facebook page.
Breonna Taylor, 26, was an EMT who was killed during a police raid of her apartment in Louisville.
During the raid in March, Taylor was shot at least eight times when three officers forcibly entered her apartment to serve a search warrant in a narcotics investigation. The department said the men announced themselves and returned gunfire when Taylor's boyfriend fired at them.
Her death, like those of Ahmaud Arbery and now George Floyd, have sparked outrage across the nation, with many Louisville protesters tonight holding signs bearing Taylor's name.

Trump tweets on Minneapolis protests: "When the looting starts, the shooting starts"
US President Donald Trump just tweeted about the ongoing protests in Minneapolis, warning that "when the looting starts, the shooting starts."
He criticized Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey as "very weak" and showing "a total lack of leadership."
"These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!" he tweeted.
It's past midnight in Minneapolis, but protests are still ongoing. Earlier tonight, demonstrators set a police precinct on fire, which continues to burn. All staff inside the building were evacuated earlier in the day, and the fire department has yet to arrive on scene and extinguish the flames.
Some context: This is now the third night of protests across Minnesota and the country, following the death of George Floyd, who was shown on video being pinned to the ground by a white police officer who pressed his knee on Floyd's neck for several minutes.
Floyd, a 46-year-old black man who was unarmed and handcuffed, pleaded that he could not breathe. He was declared dead at a nearby hospital soon after, according to authorities.

Shop owner speaks out about the phone call to the police that lead up to the death of George Floyd. Floyd paid for cigarettes with a fake twenty dollar bill. Unfortunately Floyd remained out in front of the store until the police arrived.

The store owner claims most times customers don't know they're using a counterfeit and standard protocol is to just ask them where they got it.

The owner also states that in his store's security vidio Floyd is not resisting arrest when assaulted by officers. The owner has been asked not to release the video. He also expressed support for Floyd's family. Reporters stated he is going to pay for Floyd's funeral.

House Judiciary committee demands Department of Justice investigation on police violence
From CNN's Jeremy Herb and Manu Raju

The House Judiciary Committee has sent a letter to the Department of Justice, calling for an investigation into police violence.
The committee is opening its own oversight and legislative action in response, said the letter.

“America’s history of racism and racially motivated violence is a plague that continues to live on through generations," said Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler.
"The federal government has a critical role to play in promoting a culture of accountability for all law enforcement organizations, including at the state and local level. This is why House Judiciary Democrats have sent a letter today to the US Department of Justice to demand action."

He added that the committee would open its own oversight and legislative action "to address the crisis of racial profiling, excessive force by law enforcement and lost trust between police departments and the communities they serve.”
The letter pointed to a number of recent cases in addition to George Floyd that have attracted nationwide attention -- Ahmaud Arbery, who was was killed while jogging near Brunswick, Georgia, and Breonna Taylor, an EMT who was killed after officers forced their way inside her home.

Twitter flagged Trump's tweet about shooting looters as violating rules on "glorifying violence"
From CNN's Brian Stelter

US President Donald Trump's tweet on the protests in Minnesota, which he posted earlier tonight as protesters set fires in St. Paul and Minneapolis, has been flagged by Twitter as violating the platform's rules.
The original tweet read:
"These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!"
Twitter's response: The tweet is hidden by a notice from Twitter -- but is still viewable behind the notice.
"This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules about glorifying violence. However, Twitter has determined that it may be in the public's interest for the Tweet to remain accessible," says the notice.
A separate statement from the official Twitter Communications account explained that the tweet had been flagged "based on the historical context of the last line, its connection to violence, and the risk it could inspire similar actions today."
5d3891f1-0c85-4971-ab8f-4f9b9161554b.png

The warning message will likely fuel Trump's ongoing dispute with Twitter. Just yesterday, Trump signed an executive order targeting social media companies, days after Twitter called two of his tweets "potentially misleading."
On Tuesday, Twitter applied a fact-check to two of Trump's tweets, including one that claimed, without evidence, that mail-in ballots would lead to widespread voter fraud. Trump immediately shot back, accusing the social media giant of censorship and warning that if it continued to offer addendums to his messages, he would use the power of the federal government to rein it in, or even shut it down.
Tech companies are also pushing back on the order; Facebook and Google have said Trump's proposal risks harming the internet and the wider digital economy.

Live updates: George Floyd protests spread nationwide min ago
Just joining us? Here are the latest developments on the George Floyd case

Protests spread across the United States for the third night in a row on Thursday, as crowds demonstrated against police brutality and called for justice in the death of George Floyd.
Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, died after pleading for help as a white police officer pressed his knee on Floyd's neck for several minutes while pinning him to the ground. Floyd was declared dead at a nearby hospital soon after, according to authorities.
Here's a look at the biggest developments:
  • Minnesota protests: Floyd died in Minneapolis, which saw large-scale protests on Thursday. Crowds numbering in the thousands set fire to a police precinct, which had been evacuated earlier in the day. In nearby St. Paul, protesters and police faced off with tear gas. More than 170 businesses were damaged or looted, according to police, and the Minnesota National Guard was mobilized to both cities.
  • Nationwide outrage: It wasn't just Minnesota; protesters took to the streets in Denver, Colorado; New York City; Memphis, Tennessee; Phoenix, Arizona; and Columbus, Ohio.
  • Trump and Twitter: President Donald Trump tweeted about the Minnesota protests, saying "when the looting starts, the shooting starts." Twitter has since flagged the tweet as violating the platform's rules and "glorifying violence."
  • Investigation into the death: Local and federal officials have not announced any charges against the officers involved in Floyd's death, but said the investigation is a top priority. All four officers have invoked their Fifth Amendment right against self incrimination.
  • Federal call for action: The House Judiciary Committee urged the Justice Department to investigate, saying the federal government has a critical role to play in promoting a culture of accountability for all law enforcement organizations.
  • The officer who knelt on Floyd's neck: The officer, Derek Chauvin, had 18 prior complaints filed against him with the Minneapolis Police Department's Internal Affairs. It's unclear what these complaints were for.

It's 4:30 a.m. in Minneapolis. Fires are still burning and protesters are still in the streets
From CNN’s Omar Jimenez and Bill Kirkos in Minneapolis

A large number of protesters are still out early this morning in Minneapolis and a number of buildings are on fire.
Hundreds of people are still protesting near the Minneapolis police building in the 3rd Precinct.
At least five other buildings in the vicinity of the station are in flames. One of the burning structures that has now been destroyed by the fire was an events space with a multiple restaurants about a block away from the police station. A liquor store across the street from the station has also been burned down.

I wish Trump would THINK before tweeting!

This THUGS comment was just plain dumb. It will be repeated ad nauseum.

It will be used against him just like the "fine people" one during Charlottesville. Sometimes Trump is his own worst enemy.

A real shame.

:(

Apparently they'll be more occupied discussing how his tweet was a veiled threat to have NG murder protesters.
..Doesn't matter what he does, or doesn't, say or do. I look at it as giving the kids colouring books to keep them busy while the adults talk.

I posted yesterday (on this thread) about the Minneapolis PD and city government having lost their balls and having gone into self-protection survival mode in the face of the rioters. I'll also note the arbitrary nature of American policing later.

The outcome of this riot situation was easily foreseeable. By not acting immediately and aggressively against the rioters and looters, the police (and municipal government) ensured the escalation. If the police dealt with the first few rioters with 00 buck, the rioting would've ended RTFN.

Right about now, some of you fainting violets are probably gasping in horror, "Buckshot? Against poor, oppressed people? Oh, the humanity!"

Here's the deal: As soon as the protests became exercises in looting and arson, we moved from Constitutionally-protected activity right into felony territory. "What felony activity?" you might ask. Besides the aforementioned arson and theft, you have conspiracy to commit theft, conspiracy to commit arson and (conspiracy to commit other crimes). So far we've also seen homicide and aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit rioting.

The supreme irony is that while the Minneapolis PD obviously used excessive force in arresting George Floyd for what may have turned out to be a non-crime, they quail in fear at actually performing their law enforcement duties against blatant felonious conduct. Why? Two reasons as far as I can see: The cops are genuinely fearful of getting hurt (or killed) and the feckless city administration is not backing up a forceful response. IOW the cops are pussies and so is the mayor. The rioters sensed this immediately and the criminality spread apace.

Now the city has suffered homicide and injuries, millions in property damage, the loss of whatever reputation it previously enjoyed and the riot contagion is spreading across the country.

Thanks, Minneapolis.

Agree.

And just as soon as George/Antifa shows up, absolute open season until he and his are wiped from the face of the earth, with all that entails.

I know.....easier said than done.

But when you’ve a mountain of wood to work up, you gotta start somewhere.
