So how is all of this going to play out in the next local election?....
Remember that Paul Newman 70's movie "Fort Apache, The Bronx?" Well, this is close.
listening live to the KHOU 11 live feed the reporter was told at around noon that the police already planed to abandon precinct 3. They planned for this.... this is insane!Assault on Precinct 13
Keith Ellison invites antifa to the party By Post Editorial Board January 4, 2018 | 6:40pm | Updated Keith Ellison Maybe the Democratic Party’s No. 2 was just joking about antifa violence. Or maybe he supports it.
On Wednesday, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), the Democratic National Committee’s deputy chair, tweeted a photo of himself cheekily smiling with a copy of “Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook.” His caption: “I just found the book that strike [sic] fear in the heart of @realdonaldtrump.” Obnoxious and wrong: Violence prompts moderates to support the side being attacked against the one violating civic norms. Antifa helps Trump. Yet it also plays well on the left, feeding fantasies of a serious threat from right-wing extremists. And Ellison, who spent years defending the odious Louis Farrakhan, is a radical who gains from that polarization. In short, he wasn’t just trolling the right for kicks, he was baiting liberals like House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who have denounced antifa’s thuggery. When you talk about antifa, Pelosi said, “you’re not talking about the far left of the Democratic Party — they’re not even Democrats.” Ellison plainly disagrees. |
And I see it a bit differently. Any citizen who is willing to "Take Revenge" in this manor is the real cause of this violence. They have no right to blame anyone else. It is all on them. They are completely guilty for their actions. They did not just attack those that they considered responsible for some wrong. They attacked everyone. And that is where they lost any justification for their actions. And their itching ears are just longing to hear someone say that someone else is responsible for these uncivil riotous acts. It just feeds there justification for acting like animals. And then so many innocent people suffer. They did bring upon themselves and the entire city suffers for it. That does not justify the violence and looting in any way.
The actions of the cop and inactions of city 'leaders' combined are the root cause for a great deal of suffering and loss to innocents in the city at the hands of lawless vandals. In the end only the city leaders and the rioters that caused the widespread harm win because none of them nor their victims will ever see justice.
Can't some one fly in a couple of C-130s full of tear gas?
And start dispensing it en masse?
After COVID-19, NONE of these businesses are going to be rebuilt ever! (including liquor stores.....)
In name only. DeWine is just another goddammned RINO!I think you forgot Columbus - isn't the Gov of Ohio a republican?
How could he work as security with that kind of record? I thought security personal status kind of gave me the assurance there was a limit to the criminality a man could have been caught at
It would be a crime to use a Spectre just to disperse CS...
They have so many other useful options...
I'm going to see if I can sleep now. If not, I'll be back.
Thank you, MzKitty. Sleep well.
I believe you've misunderstood Frazbo's post. He is in absolute agreement with you re: the heinous nature of the police man's actions and it being totally out of bounds of any code, implicit or explicit, legal, ethical or moral.
Yeah, I had a chat with doc1 and sorted it. I k ow this stuff from basic 45 years ago. It just took some tweaking. It has a spring loaded plunger on the door that will hold it closed. Verify the plunger on the door moves freely then close the door, press hard until it clicks, it is mostly likely new and still hard to snap into place.
hmm. This situation from earlier seems to be ongoing--- an explosion killing untold #s of rioting-protestors would be a cherry on top of the chit-show

I knew when I looked at George and thought, damn he's built like a bouncer. They all have links with cops as club security, nationwide, they snitch on the dealers. Floyd's a white hat.
people locally are connecting dots bigtime
when cops on live mic are laughing about enriching themselves during a riot spree? well...
I'd say what's left of Mpls police dept. is laying in smoking ruins in the 3rd precinct filing cabinets so their corruption gets buried by a bulldozer. It will have to be re established, city will likely be occupied by troops soon. You have kin up there, time to go camp/fish.
Mall of America has missed last 2 mortgage payments and has a billion in debt. word is the local govt. wants the kids to do their dirty work for them and trash it, insurance writeoff. If this is true, can be proven, inciting insurrection and mayhem? God help them.
Amy's VP bid most likely now lies in tatters, thank God
elsewhere chan are saying the following, you will have to go read it yourselves, summary:
- Chauvin and Floyd were both working security at El Nuevo Rodeo, overlapping shifts
- That the building with the nightclub also houses La Raza Radio of Mpls.
- The radio station is offline due to power outage & station owner upset, leaked truth out
- Chauvin's wife got caught kiting check(s), $2500 worth
- $900,000 in Chinese counterfeit currency was raided back in January, news articles on it
- Floyd was passing one of the couterfeit bills and a store employee called the cops
at this point any sane person says, this is a huge takedown operation as the state was up for grabs top to bottom, and let the feds clean house.
NOTHING is what it seems. I direct you to my comments on the Woman calls cops on black man in Central Park thread and the scripted fakery now underway out there too.
Don't get high blood pressure over any of this, don't get in Karen fights with family. Let the professionals do their jobs as it plays out and truth comes out about everything.

Keith Ellison invites antifa to the party

Keith Ellison
Maybe the Democratic Party’s No. 2 was just joking about antifa violence. Or maybe he supports it.
On Wednesday, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), the Democratic National Committee’s deputy chair, tweeted a photo of himself cheekily smiling with a copy of “Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook.” His caption: “I just found the book that strike [sic] fear in the heart of @realdonaldtrump.”
Obnoxious and wrong: Violence prompts moderates to support the side being attacked against the one violating civic norms.
When you talk about antifa, Pelosi said, “you’re not talking about the far left of the Democratic Party — they’re not even Democrats.”
Ellison plainly disagrees.
I DO understand 'Spectre'........heavy ordonnance
Perhaps it is I who misread- but- it's my BD now, so I am going to insist we not be too hard on one another
"Weakness is refusing to take responsibility for your own actions. Weakness is pointing your finger at somebody else, during a time of crisis. Donald Trump knows nothing about the strength of Minneapolis. We are strong as hell. Is this a difficult time period? Yes. But you better be damn sure that we're going to get through this," he said.
He added that the city had received resources from the state, and that further aid is expected."These are community institutions that we need. These are banks that people rely on to get cash. Grocery stores that people rely on to get food. These are pharmacies people rely on to get medicine," he said.
"I understand the importance of a precinct," he said. "(But) the symbolism of a building cannot outweigh the importance of life, of our officers, or the public. We could not risk serious injury to anyone and we will continue to patrol the third precinct entirely."
It appears to be at that point now, shoot 15 or 20 of them and it'll stop, at least temporarily, of course, Trump will be blamed.
Crowds of protesters have faced off with riot police in St. Paul throughout the evening and overnight hours, with police throwing tear gas, and protesters throwing it right back.“As Thursday turns to Friday, our officers continue to work shoulder-to-shoulder with local, state, federal and fire partners to protect St. Paul. More than 170 businesses damaged or looted. Dozens of fires. Thankfully, no reports of serious injuries. Calm on the horizon,” the St. Paul Police Department tweeted.
The fire is still ongoing, and has engulfed much of the building. Minneapolis Fire Chief John Fruetel told CNN the fire department is working with the police and other city authorities to assess the situation. We're hearing unconfirmed reports that gas lines to the Third Precinct have been cut and other explosive materials are in the building.
If you are near the building, for your safety, PLEASE RETREAT in the event the building explodes.

....These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 29, 2020
SO remind me again what Minnehaha Wine and Liquors had to do with this and why they destroyed their business over the murder of this man?
And exactly how "looting" 170 businesses in the area contributed anything beneficial to the protest? Only proved that they cant peacefully protest and they take advantage of the lawlessness. No sense of morality. What is wrong is wrong on both sides of the fence...whether someone is watching, there is threat of arrest or not.
Twitter's response: The tweet is hidden by a notice from Twitter -- but is still viewable behind the notice."These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!"
I wish Trump would THINK before tweeting!
This THUGS comment was just plain dumb. It will be repeated ad nauseum.
It will be used against him just like the "fine people" one during Charlottesville. Sometimes Trump is his own worst enemy.
A real shame.
Careful what you ask for....
I posted yesterday (on this thread) about the Minneapolis PD and city government having lost their balls and having gone into self-protection survival mode in the face of the rioters. I'll also note the arbitrary nature of American policing later.
The outcome of this riot situation was easily foreseeable. By not acting immediately and aggressively against the rioters and looters, the police (and municipal government) ensured the escalation. If the police dealt with the first few rioters with 00 buck, the rioting would've ended RTFN.
Right about now, some of you fainting violets are probably gasping in horror, "Buckshot? Against poor, oppressed people? Oh, the humanity!"
Here's the deal: As soon as the protests became exercises in looting and arson, we moved from Constitutionally-protected activity right into felony territory. "What felony activity?" you might ask. Besides the aforementioned arson and theft, you have conspiracy to commit theft, conspiracy to commit arson and (conspiracy to commit other crimes). So far we've also seen homicide and aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit rioting.
The supreme irony is that while the Minneapolis PD obviously used excessive force in arresting George Floyd for what may have turned out to be a non-crime, they quail in fear at actually performing their law enforcement duties against blatant felonious conduct. Why? Two reasons as far as I can see: The cops are genuinely fearful of getting hurt (or killed) and the feckless city administration is not backing up a forceful response. IOW the cops are pussies and so is the mayor. The rioters sensed this immediately and the criminality spread apace.
Now the city has suffered homicide and injuries, millions in property damage, the loss of whatever reputation it previously enjoyed and the riot contagion is spreading across the country.
Thanks, Minneapolis.
Best
Doc
Which may explain the run on gun purchases in recent times. The citizenry senses that society will not protect them. They are on their own.Shoot them and the country will explode. Especially when other governors will not follow suit.
