One thing the Brits (or at least the cops in London) learned a few years ago is that in the age of most people having a smartphone (or access to one) "planning something" is relatively simple, as long as you are not too picky about what you are planning.

Those London "riots" have kind of faded quickly from memory (the authorities really don't want people to remember how easy it was if you ask me) but the idea doesn't take much of an IQ to figure out.

You just pick a "Target" (bad pun sorry) and text all your "friends" and put it up on social media, twenty minutes to an hour later - boom!

I'm not saying I approve of the idea, just that it makes things a lot easier to suddenly mob, attack and regroup than it was in 1992.

This is why they cut cell communications first and foremost.

One of my weak prep areas that I do need to work on.

I'm reminded very very shortly after Obama embraced a Black Lives Matter group in the White House there was an attack on police officers nationwide. Politico called it Obama's War On Cops. Dallas was the worst example. Obama was noticeably silent during this whole rampage. 2016. Praying this is not repeated.

I would imagine, like in Baltimore last time, the pharmacies are going to be high on the list as this continues to spool up.

I'm guessing the two Target stores already involved, if they had pharmacies, they were also cleaned out.

For information purposes: Getting a hand held ham radio (which are not expensive) will have freq's that the police use. If not to up on ham's etc. it may take a while to understand all the jargon. At least I do.

2 things to remember if you go that route 1) you don't need a license to listen 2) in an emergency you can broadcast in the open and it's ok there's a procedure for that 3) some freq's you don't need a license to broadcast.

While not so good in GA hearing what is going on in Minn. it will work great locally.

I have done the reading on the subject. We are in an area where at best we get 3 miles without a boost and that is just about perfect to do squat for us. I need something hand held that will do 20 miles through trees and is under $100 each.

There are people on this board that can help with that I'm sure, and suggest looking them up.

But my understanding is there are repeaters everywhere. Even run by locals. We've got one up the road about 8 miles. And then there are external antennas that can be plugged in, set in trees, car roofs etc. Don't need a big tower type thing at all.

Just saying there's a thing for that. Back to our regular scheduled programming.

The thing about this looting;
besides insurance covering the losses( read, consumers will ultimately pick up the tab in higher prices)
the looting keeps the great unwashed happy.
They get new toys, and don't set the police station on fire.
Or city hall.
Or the mayor's home.
So, it makes sense to let them strip liquor stores and Tarjay.

Beyond time to make these "people" understand, you start a war with your communities...best be ready for counter attacks.

I guarantee that a hell of a lot of actionable Intelligence is flowing freely. Just need the sack to get it done.

I. D. everyone of those people, ban them for life from ANY PUBLIC ASSISTANCE.

Only one way for some....and it requires no words.

Sure it is as they have orders not to interfere. Now they announce leave or get shot and then come out. A difference scenario will occur.

Granted there is a lot of destruction, but it sure seems to me that it could be a lot worse. Only a few buildings burned to the ground. Kind of lazy rioting if you ask me.

If we were to riot like this, I am sure there would be moving trucks lined up to off load the stores, teams would be assigned to spread the wealth once the night was over. Burn teams would be assigned as well as security for when the NG or police arrive.

That downtown area would be flat. Nothing would be left of value.
