On TB every waking moment
Does this mean at some point soon they are going to start selling off all their remaining US Treasury bonds? If they do I am certain we will feel that. IIRC, They had been starting to sell them somewhat more over last year or 2, but I think this would be a wholesale dumping. Thoughts and speculations on this?

You can't sell what the market won't buy, and the world is awash in US treasury bonds. The Fed may be the only buyer (with newly created "money.") I don't really know, but ...

This concerns me a bit. Our DS works for a company that employs several Indian nationals. They fly back and forth to India all the time. Another concern is that we have an older Indian couple who lives and runs a little country store within a couple of miles from our house. They make trips back and forth to India several times a year. LOL, she refuses to buy American clothes. She buys all of her wardrobe while on trips to India. We have almost as many Indian nationals living in my area as Muslims.

Although this is a live stream - section of is coverage of senate coronavirus roundtable.

You'll have to slide around to 11:10 EST or so. Interesting!

Looking to plan/prepare worst case for hundreds of thousands cases.

Strategic stockpile - resupply marginal after exhausted.

Seasonal temps may not help - Singapore example.

Examples clusters in France, cruise ship - modeling R0, virulence.

ETA: Some - Really direct answers - Screening (conus) was not able to capture but maybe %25 of inbound cases, likely propagating at the local level. Won't know for weeks what the situation really is.

Sorry, not very good at transcription.

This is one of the comments (and I agree... not sure WHAT is going on, but that video has been edited and combined from more than one source)

it's fake. I saw these videos come out individually weeks apart - now this scammer put them in a single movie to suggest it's part of a "story"

I have just now caught up with reading what I missed overnight. A couple of pages back I reading something about the corona virus maybe having an incubation period of over 40 days. I didn't see anything about this up to that one post and I wonder if anyone can tell me where it was first mentioned/posted?

Thanks

These are the numbers are coming from China today:

China sees rising recovery rate of COVID-19 patients
Xinhua February 12 , 2020

The proportion of patients who recovered from the novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) in China had increased to 10.6 percent on Tuesday from the lowest 1.3 percent on Jan. 27, Mi Feng, an official with the National Health Commission, said Wednesday.

The number of cured patients had seen relatively rapid growth, and the epidemic situation also had some positive changes in general due to the country's reinforced measures against the virus, Mi said at a press conference in Beijing.

As of Tuesday, a total of 4,740 people had been discharged from hospitals after recovery.
Thank you!!

As I posted previously, this is one thing that concerns me. An outbreak in India (and Pakistan) is likely to be as severe - if not worse - than in China. The Indians and Pakistanis have lower health and sanitation resources than China. Similarly, if coronavirus gains a foothold in Africa - which it probably already has - it could wipe out the continent.

I was listening to Sirius/XM radio a couple of hours ago and the DJ came on and mentioned something about how the CDC considers the coronavirus "a grave threat to the world's health", and that basically we should keep an eye on it. I was only half listening until she said the part about the CDC - that's when my ears perked up. I was stunned to say the least. Stunned that she even mentioned it on something with a more-than nationwide audience. I have no idea who the DJ was but I'm pretty sure it was on the channel "Classic Rewind" - classic rock.

The herd is starting to move. If you haven't gotten your "stuff", get it soon.

In reference to Canada evacuating their citizens and family members; again personally I worry less about planned evacuations to people taken directly to quarantine centers (especially if proper precautions are followed) than I do about the thousands of people who may already have been exposed and come into Europe/North America/everywhere else without any checks or screening.

While I am so glad he is safe (and grateful for his reporting) Burrito and his family being met by absolutely no one and not even given a pamphlet to take home (at this point ANYONE traveling on a flight from Asia should get one) is a perfect example of why a lot of what is going on is just shutting the barn door after the horse is out.

If you have extra horses, it might keep them inside, but it won't stop the others from running wild.

Shanghai city announced that it will start intensify its screening of incoming mails and deliveries. It will sanitize all mails and deliveries, as well as improving the management of ventilation and transportation

American receiving/shipping companies of any mail or packages from China and any other country having a high incidence of Wuhan Virus needs to implement sanitizing all mail and packages including use of high intensity UV....

If this is not done, how soon before shipping and receiving personnel are infected by the Wuhan Virus????
