Pelosi breakdown? Repeats words, tells audience to clap, Kasich ‘gov of Illinois’

Is there something wrong with Nancy Pelosi?

During a Friday appearance before Families USA — the activist group fighting the repeal of Obamacare — Pelosi was seen repeating words, telling the audience when to clap and mistakenly said John Kasich was the governor of Illinois.

Pelosi began by thanking the person who introduced her for his “recanting of what happened at the time” Democrats and activist groups rammed through Obamacare.

She recalled telling her fellow Democrats that the Affordable Care Act was going to be a major achievement for government programs, and “stand there with Social Security and Medicare and Medicare,” apparently meaning to say “Medicaid.”

She attempted to butter up the audience by heaping praise on Families USA.

After attendees didn’t clap after she congratulated them for her work, she said, “When I said we could not have done it without Families USA, that is an applause line for you.”

She added, “Applause line!” after she said she looked forward to continuing to work with the activist group.

Pelosi even attempted to convey what she thought was a deep point.

By the way, do you know who the poorest people in America are? Infants and children. Infants and children,” she said.

While Pelosi attempted to underscore bi-partisan support for Medicaid, she said, “Don’t take it from me. John Kasich, the governor of Illinois said, ‘Thank God for Medicaid.'”

Kasich is governor of Ohio — another flyover state that starts with a vowel in the eyes of a West Coast liberal.

Pelosi flubbed MLK’s name, calling him “Martin Luther Sing.

Nevertheless, the liberal activists gave the House Minority Leader a standing ovation.

We have enough of our own problems with Madigan and his posse here in Illinois. We don't need Kasich, too!!

Early signs of dementia brought on by alcohol, drugs, and spirt brewing. She will be going where she belongs soon.

I wonder if you'd say that, if you'd had a stoke?

I'd prefer them to have a dirt nap, rather than a stroke... Believe me, strokes suck- big time...

Old Archer... I'm sorry, and I agree strokes suck. And in this, I'm failing to live up to my Christian aspirations. However, given the delusions of grandeur, the horrific abuse of power, and the very-likely treasonous behavior this broad has engaged in for so many years, causing suffering to so many, a stroke would seem to be a tiny bit of justice.

Having to depend on others for her every need, including having her diapers changed, and not even being able to communicate her needs and wants, much less able to screech her demands while denigrating the "little people " She detests and looks down upon... yeah, this is one person who deserves it.

Watch the video.
It's not dementia or a stroke. It's a Progressive on excessive Steroids!
Sure there are a few minor senior moments it there, but do NOT mistake it for anything other than communist, marxist stupidity for the uneducated
She was playing to her crowd for the most part.....

Nice post.

I would wish a stroke on no one.

Lightning strike???? maybe

BTW... for those interested... she is not filled with Botox.

She has maintained her "looks" with the bodyman's old standby:

I see that she is channeling her inner Jeb Bush.

My first thought on this one is that now that politicians are staying in office into old age on a more regular basis, this sort of issue is likely to come up more and more often; there have always been a few of what a friend in Mississippi called "senior senilities" around; especially in places like the Senate and sometimes in the house as well. With Reagan we even had one that has now been verified in the presidency - but thankfully he was in the early stages and it was later in his second term (probably made worse by the injuries he suffered during the attempt on his life).

I don't particularly like this women, but this sounds like a more serious medical issue than just saying stupid political stuff in public (politicians of all parties tend to do that from time to time) and I wouldn't wish those medical issues on anyone.

The problem is going to be making sure that someone gets her to a doctor and that if she is in failing mental health make sure she graciously resigns from office before something really bad happens in public; and I would say this about anyone in public life that seems to be having a physical or mental breakdown.

As we live longer and longer; this is sadly likely to become more common until medical science manages to figure out a way to solve the underlying causes.

Reading through the first comment...I had thought the whole post was actually satire.

But I followed the link and watched the vid...damn...just damn.

Wasn't she 3rd or 4th in line to be president at some point? Sad...very sad.

Yep and her party is trying to remove POTUS Trump on a 25th Amendment clause. Think on that broad and clinton, they both seem to be manifesting mental illness, and I was not really joking about kuru.

The problem politicians at that level have are the same as high end and dollar performers, their entourages have it in their own best interests to literally run them into the ground instead of getting them the help they need.

Oh, Nancy. You poor Congress Jester :jstr:

As entertaining as it is watching you bumble through self-set conversational hurdles, I think it's time you exit stage left. Divas are amusing :vik:, people with mental or memory problems are...well, just sad. :shk:

OMG... Melodi, you just used "gracious " and Pelosi in the same sentence. Keep that up, and we'll be sending you for evaluation!

Summerthyme

I didn't say she WOULD do that, I was saying it would be the right thing to do...and actually when she was younger she COULD be gracious; she was always so to me over the phone when I had to look things up for her at my Federal job and this was on several cases over the time I worked there.

In fact she had me fooled to the point I thought she was actually a nice and caring person until I read about some of what she and hubby have been up to the last few years (actually I started reading about some it before I even left California a few years later).

But then people who get that far in politics tend to get very good at wearing masques; hers just came off in public I'm afraid...

OK I think that elderly politicians can contribute to the debate but not on an active 9-5 realtime basis, maybe considered opinion and judgement compiled not in real time can be an added contribution and wisdom to the debate.

She should retire and make statements via email etc carefully peer and self reviewed. She is not up to the real time cut and thrust of debate.
