Perhaps because I am dealing with a level of social anarchy up here in Portland, Oregon on a daily basis, I have become more focused on what I call "the physics of armed resistance." I can walk out my apartment door and come into physical contact with potentially violent Snowflakes within five minutes. I have personally dealt with ongoing riots since November 8th. I am talking about routine deployment or riot police, mass chaos, rioting, violence and vandalism. I am talking about tear gas, pepper spray used by Police. I am talking about physical attacks on any Trump supporter naive enough to go to a Snowflake demonstration thinking free speech and peaceful actions are possible. I will say it quite bluntly, if a Trump supporter goes anywhere near a Snowflake demonstration in Portland, Oregon THEY RISK PHSYCIAL ATTACK, VIOLENCE AND BODILY INJURY.
Having said all of that, I am increasingly convinced of the need for "combat prepping" is prepping activities, supplies and the physical, mental and spiritual mindset needed to live through a violent contact with Snowflakes seeking to, frankly, beat you so badly you need to go to the ER. If you think I am being theatrical, you are woefully naive. I am talking about violent mobs, the exact same violent mobs I personally observed multiple times in downtown Portland.
At any rate, I have enhanced, speeded up and rechecked my weapons. I define "personal weapons" into three separate armed criteria. They are handguns, rifles, and shotguns.
I will talk about handguns.
I view "combat prepping" as all actions related to each group.
The "handgun" means the actual weapon and all accessories needed to be functional, as well as all training etc needed.
The first thing you need is obviously a handgun. I am not going to get into the 9mm versus 45ACP quagmire. I am also not going to get into the revolver versus the semi-automatic quagmire. I will just list, mostly because I no longer care what "they" think or know about me.
In addition to the handgun, and I am talking about the Taurus Model 65 Four inch barrel chambered in the 357 Magnum round/38 Special, or 38 +P round, you need a holster. The holster may either be a shoulder holster, or a belt holster, or a concealed carry waist pouch. You should spend the money to get a good one. I have Uncle Mike's for both.
One handgun.
One, or two holsters.
Speed loaders and pouches for the 357 Magnum
Speed Strips and pouches for the 357 Magnum
Cleaning kit.
Ear plugs and over the ear hearing protectors.
Shooting glasses. I have the US Army ones that fit over the helmet.
The handgun should have rubber grips to reduce recoil.
You should have a minimum of 300 rounds, including 38 Special for target/training shooting. 38 +P for your light combat load. You should have 357 Magum ammo, including some specialize rounds for heavy combat loading.
The reason I personally like the 357 Magnum round is it is the most powerful, except for the 50 Caliber Desert Eagle, handgun round you can legally buy.
Again, you should shoot often and train with the rounds you will actually need. I have also scoured Youtube for information. You would, well maybe timebomb members won't be, be surprised at the vast amount of information on it about guns and stuff.
So, I just wanted to put this out there. My judgment is I may very well be actually killing Snowflakes in the near future. I hope not, but after watching them riot for the last two and one half months, I no longer feel violence can be avoided. Good luck, people and remember to duck!
