Can't really determine one's political philosophy (or lack thereof) by surname in south Texas. JM Lozano is one of the 'better' politicians south of 10. Windbag Davis is one of the most-evil, even with the "anglo" surname. Abbott is another in that turdpile. See, there are some families who have been in the same place and the border keeps moving on 'em over the years. I know several south Texas ranching families whose control over their homeplaces can be traced continuously back to the 1820's, which puts them pre-Mexico on the same piece of land.

The President had a highly controlled visit to El Paso after the streets had been cleared out of migrants, he went to a migrant center that somehow didn’t have a single migrant in it, & he visited a port of entry instead of the river where the illegal crossings take place. He didn’t even visit a Border Patrol station & he held no public remarks & took no questions.

Both Amy Coney Barret and John Roberts voted with their liberal counter parts to ensure that this invasion continues.

if we cannot trust our own conservative justices to vote the correct way to end this crisis how can we trust them to vote the proper way to keep Donald Trump on the states ballots?

Okay, so if there’s a hurricane and the federal government doesn’t show up, can a state save its people?

If Putin attacked Alaska with 50,000 troops and the US military refused to act, can a state protect its people? Or would Alaska be constitutionally bound to just let it happen?

What SCOTUS decided yesterday was that absurd. If the federal government is derelict in its basic constitutional functions, the agreement between the states dissolves. Joe Biden has forced a constitutional crisis.

That must be a real weird feeling being stationed on the Texas border with Mexico. The Feds, Border Patrol, Customs, against Texas NG, State Police, and any contractors building the wall. The fact that a state is using Chinese shipping containers, stacked together, as a border defense, says a lot. Interesting times are happening multiple times a week so far this year.
