I didn’t read the whole thread. Recently FJB ordered that companies price their insulin low wenough for everyone to afford. I believe that order has gone into effect.
I can afford it only because we prepped for medical issues ... just not this early in life. But what I'm seeing people pay, or their insurances pay, is not long term affordable. It takes medicare and tricare to cover my parents' medication costs and they still get caught sideways on occasion when the rules change and something is no longer covered and the doc has to change their meds.
Now if I could just find in-home care for my dad. Just enough to help my mom by helping dad take a shower, some OT, some PT, and give her the occasional break just to get away for an hour or so. She wants to go out and have a girls day but no way can we take Dad with us. Sigh. That's a completely different topic.
