I have come to conclusion this generation of teachers are competing with their female students for the teen boys/school athletes.

I have had a hard rule in place since 2001 about you must be 'this old' to date. I have always called it the David Bowie rule. Do you remember President Nixon? If not, you were born after 72 and that means you are way too young for me. And its in the archives here too. I abhor the term Cougar. No respect for gals that date well below their peer group in age.

Lol

Anyone born after 1972, if you cannot remember President Nixon we are not of the same generational peer group. Especially if you carried a mutant turtles or power rangers or teletubbies lunchbox to school, then you are wayyyy too effin young. Common sense, date in your age group.

Tony the Tiger, Puffinstuff, Peanuts these are proper dating age range for *most* of Timebomb.

If they carried Backstreet Boys or Simpsons, Spongebob lunchbox to school, then you are babysitting not dating lol.

Life is complicated. The human sexual desire can be extremely powerful
with some people. I first heard of a high school male banging a teacher
was in the mid 70's. It was no big deal and no one cared.
Also, everyone has heard the phrase, a stiff **** has no conscience, that's true.

Also the teacher's booking photo is no glamor photo. I've never seen
a glamor booking photo as they don't exist.

Times have changed but human nature remains the same.

I'm betting that this wasn't the teacher's first rodeo.

Had an Algebra teacher in H.S. that was a Playboy Bunny in a prior career.
I would have given my eye teeth....
And I'm losing them now, anyway....Damn.
Ha! Hubby had an English teacher who was a Playboy bunny, and dated Joe Namath. She'd wear micro-mini skirts and sit on the front edge of the desk. He doesn't remember a single thing she taught, but he remembers her!

The older woman/younger man has been a "thing" throughout history. The younger woman/older man situation has obviously been a dynamic of long standing and is generally much more acceptable by society. The sexual chemistry dynamic often crosses chronology barriers, irrespective of age.

When I was seventeen YO I began a relationship with a very hot 32 year-old, French, exotic dancer. It was a case of instant, mutual, really intense sexual chemistry. Needless to say, the relationship was doomed to ultimate failure
- which we both understood - but we stayed together for around six months.

Well over ten years later we just happened to encountered each other again on the streets of the New Orleans French Quarter. The sexual chemistry was just as strong as it had ever been and I immediately drove her back to my place where we had a really intense erotic encounter.

Afterwards, I took her back to her place and we've never seen each other again...

Humans - both men and women - have an incredibly wide variety of sexual turn-ons and they are often unexpected and unpredictable. I will state without fear of contradiction that virtually every member of this board - both men and women - has experienced an unexpected and immediate sexual attraction to someone. I don't wish to imply that anyone necessarily acted on these impulses, but only suggest that the attraction occurred.

There are countless reasons why people might not act on their erotic attractions or impulses, including being engaged, married or in a committed relationship.

Yesterday I had to go to the county landfill to dispose of our household garbage. I asked my DW if she was concerned that the landfill "garbage groupies" might try to have their evil way with me! She said that she felt pretty confident that our relationship was on solid ground and that she wasn't worried about any garbage groupies ;-)

I have never been afflicted with the compulsion to act on risky desire.

Don't get me wrong, I always CHOOSE to be desirous of DW. She has always reciprocated although I suspect she has been more charitable in that department.

The breach of trust is the bigger issue. I truly understand why some women end up with their face on a milk carton or some guy gets the John Wayne Bobbit treatment.

While I understand it, I could never act on that urge either although it might have crossed my mind during my divorce.

There are always two sides to every story but cheatin' has always and WILL ALWAYS be wrong to the utmost severity.

I completely agree! At 17, my son was 6' and 275 pounds

A lot of these teen boys are men in every sense of the word except age. I just had one of those boys help his Dad do my carpet yesterday. Around 6 ft 175 just a junior in HS.

Yep... but they have NO responsibilities! Our sons at least were working for us (and getting paid, although not always in cash... they were allowed to charge car parts at the local auto parts store, we let them take trees out of our woods to build a cabin, etc.

We never required them to work before school like hubby did... he milked cows every morning and night from the time he was 12. But we kept them busy and tired enough to mostly keep them out of mischief!

As hubby said.. he never had a curfew, but knowing he had to be in the barn at 5:30 am the next morning tended to dampen the enthusiasm for drinking the night away!

My high school there was a woman math teacher that was good looking the rest were close to retirement age.
In Junior High School the same problem except for an English teacher and the best I can explain her was Miss Piggy! Really built with lots of beef on the hoof and dressed very well and huge boobs was more than most 7th and 8th grade young men would take on.

I have never heard of landfill groupies. Been there lots of time. Never saw anyone I would put in that category. You must have a very interesting landfill!

You meet the greatest people at the transfer station. I have spent large chunks of days there, waiting for good recycle to show up, talking with strangers. The station operators gave me their blessing to pick through their stuff. Sometimes when I told people what I was doing, they'd go home and bring back some select garbage just for me! Good times.

That's how my DH grew up too on a dairy farm in Upstate, NY. Worked from a young age.

The HC Guide to Dating in your age range adapted for Timebombers by asking 'describe your lunchbox'.

For you folk from the 50's

This guy is always dependable, solid widower, fix it guy at your Church. Also it was unisex, these gals are self starters, thermos like dear old dad. Homebodies, snuggle with a bowl of popcorn and classic movie by a crackling fire together. And the big dogs!

D7993621-D912-47A7-822E-F1DE2F214268.jpeg

These two guys are a little rougher, maybe been married once or twice. Maybe some ex wife baggage, maybe a colorful past, enjoys Vegas or Nascar wknds, maybe some tatts and well traveled lots of stories. Lover, fighter, wild horse rider.

This one is the keeper, vintage 1955. Loves to go on long RV snowbird excursions, fish and hunt with grandkids. Has at least a jonboat if not a cabin cruiser. Ideal if a widower. Grab him and make him biscuits n gravy. Do not let go, second childhood in old age material.

This is for your 60's partners. Either this or Misty of Chincoteague is a unicorn, very low mileage on the odometer. Trad, loves bluegrass and gardening. Probably has a chicken coop. Big family gatherings round the firepit & lotsa grandkids

Now for the 70's era folks

This guy is inquisitive, loves Star Trek, Star Wars, vintage Columbo and Kojak, into aquaponics and solar self reliance. If well versed in history can play well in the sandbox with a 60's born gal but must be born before the Carter Admin

8FF9092C-9D13-4C48-8D7F-52998C4FEDFD.jpeg

You know you love her, that girl next door that took in all the stray cats and loves food network to try out recipes. Enjoys poolside casual and tropical beach vacations. Let her enjoy clothes shopping for her beloved grandbabies. Can be a great partner to a 60's born guy IF she is not woke or raging feminist

And now the danger zone for us seniors

These guys and gals are the same age as your adult children. You are going to piss off your kids esp if you change the will. But if you are determined to do the whole May-December romance, there is probably no talking you out of it. Bob Seger wrote a song about it called Fire Lake. If you can pull this off good luck. The generational disconnect would drive me batty.

And this is your no go zone for silver seniors.

This is not dating material its robbing the cradle and could possibly get you on the offender registry. Just enjoy the thong bikini bottom on the beach as it prances by from a distance. We came from the era of modesty not yoga pants cameltoes Unsafe at any speed Gramps.

Ladies this teenage boy is just all kinds of wrong. You are skirting scandalous territory if he is barely legal/over 18. Leave the tiktok generation alone. These kids deserve each other, walk away.

Bonus: definite wild card but worth going on a date. Kudos if he inherited a family farm. His ex will have big hair and may be loud. But a good Grandma in the long run.

Avoid anything Barbie in any era and you will do fine.

Ditto for 70's gals who had Holly Hobbie or Little House on the Prairie. Definite keepers and good companions for the twilight years!
