The Sun just went nuts today: full halo CME and other smaller ones.

a little gift from heaven here in maine yesterday. The ground was completely free of snow before it arrived... the last 4”” of snow arrived just before that got drenched in freezing rain, so that it left a thick solid crust of snow on top impervious to breaking through when walked on. heavy and solid too.

Unusual to get a genuine winter storm this late in the spring here- it was cold and very windy when it arrived. No pretending it was spring When it started. Thinking that the celestial events were affecting the terrestrial events hereabouts.

I'm about to go shovel my new 5-6 inches of snow from yesterday/last night. Sure looked like winter was over two days ago. :look:

I remember the truly massive Full Halo that took place in late 2004, that saturated ALL earth sensor stations. We had watched the huge sunspot when it first grew, and then passed the Earth. We also watched fitfully for two full weeks, not quite 24/7 but close, before it swung around again and let off that monstrous civilization shattering X 29-X40 that passed us by for two full days before exploding ahead of us. Major Ed Dames infamous Shot Across the Bow.

I came across this thread again and thought, how long has it been? Hey it must be close to two weeks now.

It has now been about two weeks that the sun has circled again (a full rotation of the Sun, viewed from Earth, is about two weeks). Are we in for another ride? Similar to 2004? Could be, we shall see what we shall see.
