USA The Secret is Out -- Why Sarah Resigned, and Why it Scares the Pants off the Left

Seeker and I are going to be in a long line early on 12/1 to see Sarah. 1500 people showed up in MI today with some waiting for hours in freezing temperatures. Since we don't have that kind of cold in Tempe, I think the lines are going to be longer earlier. Seeker, do you have camping gear? ;)

http://votingfemale.wordpress.com/2...cialists-and-why-they-are-so-utterly-fearful/

Why Sarah Palin resigned is now becoming clear to the Socialists, and why they are so utterly fearful

I came across a comment made by ‘ted c‘ on a blogpost at HotAir.com titled “1500 wait in freezing weather to meet Palin on book tour”

excerpt…

In case anyone needed an example of the drawing power and political energy that Sarah Palin wields, the Detroit Free Press report on the start of her book tour should fill the gap nicely. Despite freezing temperatures, people gathered by the hundreds early this morning to greet Palin in person at a Grand Rapids bookstore. By 5 am, five hundred people stood outside the Barnes & Noble — and two hours later, the numbers had swelled to 1500:

And that’s 4:55 this morning when the thermometer had dipped into the 30s. But the 500 or so people in line didn’t mind the sleepless night or the onset of winter.

“What she represents is what we’re standing in line for,” said Robin Case, 44, of Traverse City, who set up a chair and sleeping bag at 9 p.m. Tuesday to make sure she got the chance to meet Sarah Palin, former Alaska Governor and vice presidential candidate. “She’s real and she’s standing up for what we believe in.”

Palin was scheduled to begin her “Going Rogue” book tour at the Barnes & Noble Booksellers in suburban Grand Rapids.

By 7 a.m., the line had swelled to more than 1,500 people as Barnes & Noble wrapped orange wristbands around Palin fans’ wrists.

Most authors would be pleased to get 1500 people in total to show up for a book tour. (Heck, most authors would kill to sell 1500 books.) Even the Lord of the Rings openings didn’t attract 1500 fans for a 7 am show. Star Wars didn’t get this kind of response. And if Massachusetts is any indicator, not even Barack Obama can pack a house like this any more.

I see the comment by ‘ted c‘ as a crystallization of what is going on and how it came to be:

Sarah Palin has her run of the board right now. She has freedom of movement to conduct standoff, deep strike attacks upon the statist liberal agenda.

She will selectively pick principled and bloody knife-fights which she can capitalize on her freedom of movement afforded her by her resignation.

Her target, Obama, is frozen in the White House. He is busy and she can thump him at will. Moreover, he provides her with a daily full combat load of ammunition with which to do it. Obama’s ammo? Well, 11 AP reporters are trying to comb through her book to see if they can scratch up a round or two to use against her. Her advantage? She has withered the 2008 Alaska Lawyer Invasion as well as attacks on multiple fronts from every aspect of the print and television media. The result? She’s stronger and people are waiting for hours in the cold to see her. Obama? Well, we’re just always going to be in the cold…. thanks to cap and trade, which takes us back to sarah palin.

The way the story ends you ask? I’ll tell you….like this, “I Sarah Heath Palin, do solemnly swear to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, against ALL enemies, foreign AND domestic….”

Oaths.

Go Saracuda go. Whomp him HARD!

She did the right thing by resigning. Now she can come and go as she pleases, thumping whomever she wishes to thump.

Go, Sarah!!!!!

Anybody who thinks she won't run for Prez is smoking some really bad, old, wet weed (or worse).

Her opponents are desperately trying to stay in giggle mode, dismissing her as insignificant to the point of ludicrous. But she's getting better all the time, and in a couple years there won't be any giggling to be heard.

The left is not scared shitless of Palin. And liberal Democrats are not socialists. Unless you want to say conservative Republicans are fascist, then I don't mind the labels.

Palin seems to be not to well liked within her own party from what I see, hear and read.

If she has something to say, I'm listening, but I still don't think she is presidential material. :shr:

Energy Wave, what constitutes "presidential material". I would like to know so I can start paring down the list. What were Hillary Clinton's qualifications that made her presidential material.

That Palin is not well liked makes sense to me.

As a registered republican I'm ashamed of the bullshit coming from the republican heads. They are no better than the dumb-fock democrats.

Maybe she isn't presidential material as you say. But she resonates with the part of the conservative populace that is sick and tired of the games played by BOTH Demos or Repubs.

The Democratic AND Republican Parties are they currently exist ARE THE PROBLEM.

If the left is "scared" of Sarah Palin, they must define the word differently than I do. Every lefty I know is fervently hoping she'll run for president in 2012.

Please give us Mr. 0's qualifications as 'presidential material'....

Well he was a community activist and he wrote a book, well sort of, maybe , had a ghost writer write a book for him. And he could see a foreign county, Chicago, out his bedroom window.

Several friends of ours loaded up from Toronto yesterday evening, picked up a few more Sarah fans in London, and Windsor, ON., then headed over to Grand Rapids just to be there. Can't wait to read their Facebook comments!

Yes, I'll just betcha the left cant wait for Sarah to run for Prez. Nawht.

:D

Doesn't the saying end that the further you drive the nail the deeper it goes into the wood? :)

OK, I have to ask this then:

How do you classify Obama:
Moderate, Liberal, Marxist, Socialist, or Communist

How do you classify Biden:
Moderate, Liberal, Marxist, Socialist, or Communist

How do you classify Pelosi:
Moderate, Liberal, Marxist, Socialist, or Communist

Sarah Palin seems to be wildly popular among the GOP "base". That's about 33% of the country if recent polling is accurate. The majority of voters are somewhat skeptical of her qualifications for office (any office).

I've heard seriously that some Democrats are considering changing their party affiliation so that they would be eligible to vote in the GOP primary in the run-up to the 2012 election. They would like to vote for Palin in the GOP primary in order to increase the odds that Palin would be the actual nominee.

It's sort of like Rush Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos" with the object being to work for skeptical the nomination of a unqualified or incompetent candidate by the Republicans.

Yes, that was what Fred said earlier in a much shorter sentence.

But why isn't anyone talking about the independents? They are the key to this whole deal and they are moving away from 0bama fairly quickly. Even Pelosi is starting to tighten up a little about it. But not too tight or her face will split, ha ha!

Any chance she would run on an Indy ticket?
I liked her for the most part until the resignation. Bailing on her responsibilities as state Gov has had me feeling doubt since then.
I was planning on attending the book signing at a local Hastings until I read the part about having to buy her book there.

Even if I don't read the book, I like having the autograph! Time is such that I don't get to sit and read much anymore! For recreation, anyway.

She's gonna be here Dec 8th. If I have to crawl over broken glass, I WILL be there. My plan after checking out the bookstores pathetically small parking lot this morning: I need to take a cab there around 4:30 am and park my rear on a lawn chair to wait, probably in the snow! Wearing of heavy thermal underwear will be mandatory at that hour in this state at this time of year. The store is only going to give out 1000 wristbands for entrance. They are saying that only signing of bought books will be allowed-no memoribilia. Everyone here LOVES her!
:eleph:

I went to the election commision yesterday to ask about changing party affiliation to independant and they said this state doesn't record that! DOH! THATS why they always sent two ballots in the primaries.... Its been a long time since I first registered when we moved here-

I REALLY find it amusing that all the dims bewail that shes a quitter-they ALL conveniantly forget that the lawn jockey QUIT a seat to run for prez..........

Racial insults aside, Obama did not resign his Senate seat until he'd already won the Presidency. I thought he'd be criticized for doing that but apparently I was wrong (again).

I was also very wrong when I ridiculed the the rumor that Hillary might run for the New York Senate seat. Now you know how I am with predictions.

Many independants never voted for Obama, or will they vote for Palin. Palin is exactly what the Reps hope Obama was for the Dems. You better hope the Reps don't run with her or your going to get stuck with Obama for another 4 years. Just the plain fact she's a quitter, the opposition will have a field day with that.

I just don't understand the excitment about Palin. She agreed to run on the ticket with McCain. You remember McCain right? He's the RINO that the republicrats ran against Oba-Mao. The RINO that's best buds with Lindsay "Repuplicans are in danger of becoming the party of angry white males" Graham. The RINO that teamed up with Ted (glad he's dead) Kennedy and tried to ram ammensty down our throats. The RINO that backed the Bush bailout. Palin was willing to back everything that McCain stood for. Palin stands for nothing. If she did, she would never had agreed to run on the ticket with McCain.

Was Al Gore? Did the Nobel Laureate just spit out another whopper? lets see...Oh Yea...here it is:

Last Thursday, NBC "Tonight Show" viewers got a perfect example of how the Nobel Laureate basically makes things up, and that his poor grades in college were quite an indicator of just how little he understands science!

Al Gore: Earth's Interior 'Extremely Hot, Several Million Degrees' :sb:

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-s...nterior-extremely-hot-several-million-degrees

The actual temp is 5000 and maybe as high as 9000 Celsius!

SEVERAL MILLION DEGREES WOULD MAKE US A STAR!!!!! :lkick:

Could you imagine a former Republican VP making insane statements like this? The Lib's would be falling all over themselves to correct him!

Al Gore was presidential material? :jstr:

.....And liberal Democrats are not socialists. Unless you want to say conservative Republicans are fascist, then I don't mind the labels.....

If you believe liberals/socialist are on the left and conservatives are on the right and therefore fascist, then I suggest you study some history. It is this exact mind set that has sunk the country because following your logic, you would be “in the middle” between the liberals on the left and fascist on the right, correct?

Except fascists are not on the right. They are not conservatives. You have allowed the left to frame the argument and you have bought into it. The Nazis were fascists. Agreed? That's pretty well documented. The Nazis were National Socialist. That is what Nazi means.

THE FAR LEFT - a King/Monarchy. One person in total control. The final and total authority. Don't recommend pissing this man off!

Just to the “right” of the King/Monarchy (but still way to the left) is Communism. Total bureaucratic control of all aspects of the economy, your life and all liberties. Still don't recommend voicing a contrary point of view.

Next are the Fascists, like the Communist, they want a single party, control over almost all aspects of the economy, but they don't want to actually run the corporations. They just want to tell everyone what to do, how to do it and when to do it. Also like the Communists, you will “disappear” if you speak out against them.

The Socialist are fine with many political parties..........as long as they are all Socialist. They want to control the “important” aspects of the economy and your liberties, but not everything. Just the big markets and healthcare and such. Speak out all you want. You will be ignored.

The Democracies give everyone a voice! And they all eventually decay into Socialist or worse. As soon as the masses realize the can vote themselves a raise or benefit and make someone else pay.........it's over. Mobocracy would be a better term.

Constitutional Republic. Limited government with the rule of law as the last word. The law is followed regardless of popular opinion or majority rule.

THE FAR RIGHT – Anarchy. No government at all.

So, if I am reading you correctly, you are saying your between the Fascist and Socialist. That's just great. How about taking a look at the CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC! That is after all, what we are supposed to be..............

I think Ms. Palin is more in line with the "limited goverment" aspect of the argument. Just sayin.

Sarah Palin is "wildly popular" among Conservatives.
She's also popular among some Independents.
Sarah is also very unpopular among Liberals.

But even if she had no support from Independents, her Conservative supporters are double her Liberal distractors.
Not difficult to see who the winner is here.
