been wondering if the "emotional spike" anticipated by Clif High and the web bots for TODAY is this trial . . . IMHO more like than not this is it.

Jeepers. I watched a bit this morning, then just checked in now, but from what I saw, as detailed as these questions are to the potential jurors, there's no way the press (and all the bad guys on the street) won't figure out who they are before the weekend.

Did you see the part where another judge texted this judge, to say he could see her (first potential juror) reflection in the plexi glass?? I would not want to be on this jury for any amount of money in the world....

Exactly.

I can't believe how many of these dummies sound like they WANT to be on the jury. Excited to get the summons and for this trial? Holy cats. And then NOT having thought about it being a danger to their personal safety. Eeek.

Well, that's one white juror, though she sounds like a dingbat.

Did anybody get an impression of the first one that was picked? I didn't hear it.

One can only hope all the toxicology results will be front and center for this show trial. St George was a street thug and a doper. He was going to die from the fentanyl he ingested as he was being busted by the popo no matter what anyone did. Pop that popcorn folks! This one is going to be good! Hopefully the verdict comes on a really muggy hot summer night!

Do you think it will matter that Floyd was seriously OD'd and that's what ultimately killed him? Either way, this is nothing but a show trial and regardless of what happens it's going to be riot city when it's over.....and if he's acquitted stand by for some serious heavy seas and typhoon winds. Trust me....a typhoon makes hurricanes look like gentle summer storm. :popcorn3:

Why is this even being televised??this trial is hot enough .....

Should have moved the trial outside of the city or state!!!
NOBODY wants this trial in their city. Feeling outstate is that Minneapolis keep their trash to themselves and not spread the media circus and riots to (relatively) peaceful, uninvolved communities.

The truth now in the ZUSA matters not.

Only solution.

All African jury, with a verdict of 1st degree premeditated murder.

Life in prison, without parole.

Many cities all across the ZUSA, will be spared being burnt to the
damned ground.

Also, the POS dumbarse merchant who called the cops,
needs his sorry arse locked up. All of this for a fake $20 bill.

Perhaps this will be the push that is needed, to get Civil Rights Act 2
completed and passed into law. It would have prevented this incident
from having occured.

Please be safe everyone. War is coming.

Regards to all.

10% chance of 2nd degree murder charge
60% chance of 3rd degree murder charge
30% chance of acquittal
Just a guess on my part

Problem is...as of now, there IS no 3rd degree charge. Reinstating it is still percolating on a back-burner appeal situation. The State Attorney General (idiot Keith Ellison) overcharged this guy and now the whole stinking world is boxed into a corner.

Realistically, they will never get a 2nd degree conviction, and with either manslaughter or an acquittal, cities all across the planet burn.

And then there is Kyle's trial some time this summer.

My suspicion is that sooner rather than later we are going to have to be ready to take care of our own selves and to shove the riots out of our 'hoods our own selves.
And THAT ain't gonna be nice or quiet.
Yeah, blood to the curbstones.

And Ellison can't be convinced to back the Eff off because he is completely and forevermore RIGHT, about EVERYTHING, just ask his ex-squeeze if you believe otherwise.

There is also another way out.

Chauvin could do as Herman Goring did.

It is what it is. This is 2021, not 1957, a year when an event such as this,
would have ended when the POS Floyd died of a drug OD.

Now he has been made into a saint, a common POS African street thug,
made into a saint.

Please be safe everyone. Festivities are to begin soon.

Regards to all.

Sure. Don't know how this trial will be fair. A mess, for sure!

And the burning, riots should never have been
allowed in the first place. I blame Obama and Holder for this black lives mess.

For the legal geeksters, and anyone/everyone who eventually will be impacted by the outcome - thought I'd post a couple of handy links. The process is getting started today with jury selection.

Here's the link to the Court TV live-stream:
Court TV - Live Stream - Web - Court TV

Found interesting the questionnaire handed to potential jurists here:

I love this question

"If you participated, did you carry a sign? What did it say? "

So, back to it at 8:00am. tomorrow for motions, court business, etc. and selection beginning at 9:00.
At least so far, some of the called really didn't want to serve and were dismissed. Citing job conflicts, philosophy conflicts and concerns over privacy/safety.

3 jurors chosen...two white 30-40 YO men and one 30-40 YO "woman of color" originally from N. Minnesota. I wonder if she's Native American.

Minneapolis, MN | Jury Selection Day 1 in The Derek Chauvin Trial | 03.08.2021
•Streamed live on Mar 8, 2021

The Snack Squad

Jury selection in the Derek Chauvin Trial is set to begin today. This process is expected to take weeks, due to fewer persons allowed in the courtroom due to Covid-19, and the difficulty to find jurors who are willing to put personal feelings aside, and solely examine the case. The trial is not expected to take place on weekends, and the jury will be partially sequestered unless the Judge deems necessary to fully sequester.
