I haven't been to a theater for quite some time, save this past Saturday when I went to see Civil War alone. I must say I enjoyed it in a dark sort of way, even considering its sometimes campy vibe.

The reviewers seem to be having a rough time making heads or tails of the point. I did not.

Forgive the thread drift.

Or is it?

BREAKING: Sen. Josh Hawley responds to the Senate vote to dismiss impeachment articles against DHS Secretary Mayorkas.

“In 2020, Dems voted to impeach Trump without even charging a crime. Today they voted that a *felony* CANNOT be an impeachable crime. It’s beyond absurd.”

If anyone was in doubt, today the forces of evil showed its hand. Corrupt politicians are a fatal disease. America is now dead, somebody needs to turn off the monitors, and send the corpse to the morgue. It’s time to see if there will be a probate for what the deceased has left behind…

The United States Senate was supposed to hold the impeachment trial of Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas beginning at 1 PM Eastern Wednesday. It actually proved to be a historically rapid dismissal by the Democrats.
As The Washington Post reported, the Senate at Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) urging voted to dismiss both articles of impeachment against Mayorkas, who has presided over the worst border crisis in America history.
Democrats voted along party lines on the first article of impeachment which charges Mayorkas with “willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law,” finding the charge unconstitutional. Sen. Lisa Murkowski (RINO-Alaska) voted present.

They then voted to end the impeachment “trial” completely, again on a party-line vote.

As Townhall.com’s Spencer Brown notes, this move by the Senate upset 227 years of congressional history. Only once was an actual trial not held when an individual was impeached, and that was because an impeached judge resigned before the trial began.
From Townhall.com:

LoL .... are you really surprised???

It's a WWE not real, reality show for the consumption of the masses!!!

I enjoyed a 40 y/o bottle of Jim Beam when I retired. ;) I'm not a Jim drinker, but it was purchased a LONG time ago, when I was just a child, and I remember seeing that 10-pin just waiting for a long time for retirement. That was at least a decade ago. Can I say that it had mellowed to something delicious in that 40 year time.
My mil has an unopened bottle of Makers Mark from 1978. When they break that seal, it won't be a time for celebration.

THEY don't need Section 702..they'll control everything once the House's fall is complete. They will come after us when they finish with Trump

I don't even trust our own military.

The Constitution and the country can not stand with this godless bunch of minions. I agree with what someone else wrote...America is under judgement...and she will fall under the weight of her own sins.

God bless the good people that will not sell their souls.

The Senate voted along party lines, ruling that the articles of impeachment were unconstitutional because they did not meet the standard of high crimes and misdemeanors - with Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) voting 'present' on the first article, rather than joining her Republican colleagues who voted against the articles being unconstitutional.

Oh! This woman is a piece of work!

Alaska, please take care of her - I used to say she was more worthless than ‘tits on a Tom cat’, now I think she evil!
