My son (16) has been dealing with bouts of depression for a couple of years. It’s like he is carrying a heavy weight that he can’t, or won’t, put down. It is draining the energy out of him and our entire family. Please pray that he be healed and delivered from this spirit of heaviness and depression. Please pray for our family, that we be given the tools and shown the way to combat this. Thank you.

Thank you all for your prayers and advice. Both are deeply appreciated. He has been seeing a Christian Therapist for a little over a year. We have also done blood testing and will be doing genetic testing in the next week or so. He was doing really well but has recently gotten involved with a troubled girl that seems to be a catalyst for his latest bout. I truly appreciate you all.

Ah….girl trouble, that explains a lot too. If he is already conflicted he doesn’t have anything in the tank to help her with her problems. I’d like to be young again but not with having to navigate the teenage hormones and stresses.

Just remember that God is sovereign and he knew your son would be walking through these days before he was even born. In the end God will use this experience to benefit him even if he feels like he is in a hole right now.

You’ll get through this.
