88 degrees with some clouds. Hoping it's going to rain later. We need it.

Only three weeks left before graduation and the end of the regular school year, then we dive into a summer schedule of camp. It's never dull. I've decided that "boring" is under rated.

Dinner is a chef salad complete with honey ham, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sweet onion, cucumber, black olives, green olives, hard boiled eggs, and chopped sundried dates thrown in for fun!

How about you? Share a square or just "What's for dinner?"

It's 85 degrees right now, and rain coming in in about an hour. I was planning to grill hamburgers, tonight, but will have to fry them inside, instead. Heavy rain is expected. Bacon cheeseburgers with lettuce, sliced tomatoes, dill pickles, and onion slices with chips. No dessert, tonight.

Pork chops, zucchini noodles with seasoning, and sautéed mushrooms, onions and kale. Plenty of leftovers for dd and ds this week so I may not cook for a couple days lol. Sun is shining right now but may have some more rain later. It was like a monsoon here yesterday!

I have had a busy day today. Worked in the garden awhile then worked on weed eating and mowing, got it all done except the back which I can do tomorrow (LOVE having Mondays off :) ). After that I washed the two St Bernards not that you can tell. Then I made strawberry jam. Dinner will be spaghetti.

Life is better in flip flops
It's nice here today but cloudy. Our raised bed gardens are doing amazing so far this year! It will be great to eat our garden veggies and share them with our family :) DD has a scheduled c-section for tomorrow morning but she isn't feeling good today so we'll see if they reschedule it or not. Our grandsons will be staying with us this week while their mom is in the hospital so we'll have to get them to school in the morning and back here in the afternoon - that's an hour round trip each time. I'm not looking forward to that part.
DH is going into work so we just ate dinner together. We had bacon wraps with shredded cheese and mayo plus sweet onion slices and potato salad that I made a couple hours ago.
I pray everyone has a blessed week!

We just finished lunch; DH had grilled cheese and chips, I had leftover garlic noodles and Thai chicken.

DH is off to the local once-a-year art show (before it starts raining again), and then to the drugstore to pick up prescriptions for me. I'm gimping along with my broken wrist, so I'll be doing exercises for that this afternoon, plus trying to do other things (clean up my email, put things away, make iced tea, put laundry into the dryer, figure out if I can (with DH's help) pot up some iris seedlings indoors). Dinner will either be takeout or else Polish sausage with tater tots, and ice cream for dessert.

Everyone have a safe and happy week!

Ack! This wind! didnt' get much done outside, although SIL came and helped rake my front yard - said she needed time outside and away from people. I get it. I managed to get a few things done, but not as much as I would like.

Dinner was stuffed peppers with strawberry shortcake made with fresh baked sour cream pound cake for dessert.

Managed to mow three sections of the yard before the rain started last week. We have received 6 inches of rain and the ground is soaked and water is standing every where even with the slope in the yard areas. Walking across the yard areas will wash the bottom of your shoes. It will take several days of dry sunny weather before I can complete the mowing.

Dinner will be fried venison steaks with gravy, mashed potatoes and black eyed peas. Soft baked chewy brownies with walnuts for dessert.

50 degrees and raining-Seattle is living up to it's reputation!
I live in one of those areas that has many grocery stores to choose from so I tried Trader Joes yesterday and they have things that nobody else does. Dinner is a mushroom ravioli thing over toast.

I was in a QFC the other day and they had frozen venison and elk steaks. I'm not sure how to use that stuff but I'm all ears if anyone can give me a clue.

Just popping in to report that the bison rib eye steak I had last night was as tender as butter and absolutely delicious! Albertsons carries them, so check your store if you have one around you. They're expensive ($16.99), but when their best by date is near they mark them 50% off, so I get all I can then and toss them in the freezer till I want one.

80°and muggy. Yesterday my local H-E-B was having their spring crawdad boil. You can buy bulk cooked crawdads, shrimp, sausage, red potatoes and corn. I bought a little shrimp corn and potatoes, which is what I had for dinner. The pups each got a warm buttered potato. I’ll give them each a couple shrimp with their dinner today.
