I'd like to think that I'm always too aware to allow anyone to get w/i lassoing distance from behind- but you've only got to let your guard slip once eh-
and odds are I, and most others, have : (
The chances are she could have spun around and fought him off, maybe. If she was fast enough. But turning around quickly would have kept her from going out that fast. Turning around would have pulled her forward and that innertube would have smacked him in the face or come off the back of her neck where she might have been able to fight back.

I know I should not be quarterbacking from my chair, just old training from my past that comes to my mind.

Oh we want the screenshot in profile so we can see relative height in contrast beside the cars and streetpole.

As well as skin color, receding hairline and approx build/size

Leather holds sweat equity, here is hoping he left a ton of his DNA on her neck.

The monster that pushed the woman down the steps of the Greek Orthodox Church recently, stole keys and took the woman's car and left his joyriding DNA all over the steering wheel of her car

You'll want his screenshot too.

I'd probably grabbed the belt and tried to pull the attacker fwd violently into a head butt of sorts, while squirming to get a blade out, and delivering a backwards kick to hopefully the knee or groin..

:hmm:
would I try to slash the restraint or the whatever was behind me? I dunno.

Depends upon where I was on the pissed off-terrified continuum, I guess.

Roll over, belt causes brain surgeon to fall when the tension becomes loose, draw and revoke his medical license.

Clif said there would soon be a viral video like this in the New England area that would set vigilantes off.

Goodness before greatness.
It only takes a few seconds for a blood choke to black-out an individual.

In the length of time she was drug along, she would be unconscious.

If the PAB didn’t know how to revive her, she could easily expire.

No, no, no!

The normal defensive, armed reaction isn’t going to do here…not alone!

For our ladies, kids, old people etc, to have to wait and react to an attack is piss poor tactics.

These things need to be hunted down…baited, and made extinct.

This is the man wanted for the rape that was in the video circulated earlier today.
======================

Wanted for rape: On May 1 at 5 AM in the vicinity of East 152 Street and 3 Avenue in the Bronx, a 45-year-old female was walking when an unknown individual approached her from behind, wrapped an object around her neck, and pulled her to the ground causing her to lose consciousness.

The male then dragged the victim between two cars and sexually assaulted her before fleeing on foot. If you have any info in regards to this crime DM @NYPDTips

what was it three or five uniforms tied up protecting it- won't be long before they cannot muster those kind of resources for such thugs- - -NY may yet redeem itself, and we may see vigilante justice sooner than we expected.
- hopefully that will work out well at least for some people, some of the time.

Good on her!

Mom of sicko seen in gut-wrenching video lasso woman before sex assault says she ‘facilitated’ his arrest: 'He has to deal with it'

The mother of the man accused of lassoing a woman around the neck with a belt, dragging her unconscious and raping her said she stayed up all night convincing her ‘sicko son’ to turn himself to law enforcement over the twisted caught-on-camera attack in the Bronx.

“I’m his mother that turned him in. I’m the one that facilitated him being arrested,” an exhausted Beverly Parks, 56, told The Post of Kashaan Parks.

Early Friday morning, Beverly claimed the Parks’ wife called and told her he had choked and raped a woman.

The mother of accused lasso rapist Kashaan Parks stayed up all night convincing him to turn himself in. TOMAS E. GASTON

“I found out about this yesterday morning at 5:12 am, and I’ve been trying to get my son to do the right thing ever since. And I did,” she said Saturday.

Kashaan Parks, 39, was arrested Saturday and charged with first-degree rape, assault, strangulation, sex abuse, public lewdness and harassment for the May 1 attack, police said.

Gut-wrenching video footage allegedly shows a masked Kashaan Parks approaching the victim from behind with belt in hand at around 3 a.m., tossing it around the woman’s neck and pulling her down to the ground, authorities said.

The attacker then dragged the woman between two parked cars and raped her on a Bronx street, police said.

The unemployed, married father of two has been struggling with drinking and drug issues in recent weeks, since learning his father died last month in a hospital in Belize, according to his mom.

“He … had a one-year-old baby. It’s not like he was walking the street committing crimes and doing this,” she said.

“I had my son go be accountable for his actions, no matter that he was drunk, that he was on drugs, that he was grieving,” she added.

“He did something wrong and he has to deal with it. Period.”

Kashaan, his wife and their young daughter had been living in North Carolina, where they staying with the wife’s parents, but recently moved back, Beverly Parks said.

“I said [to Kashaan], ‘I wish I had left you down there and never made that trip,” she recalled. “He just came back from New York. That’s why this was such a shock.”

Kashaan Parks has two prior public arrests, including for allegedly assaulting a 46-year-old woman in the Bronx and entering the back of an MTA bus without paying, according to police.

Beverly Parks said she hoped the victim could find a way to forgive her son.

“I’m a woman, and I am sorry that this happened to this person. I have to open and close my eyes every day, and ask God to make sure this person is okay and for forgiveness for my son.

“Whatever she has to live with, I am going to have to think about that for the rest of my life.”

Not to make light of this poor woman's situation, but, at what point does a strangulation turn into a homicide verses just being choked? Do people die during a strangulation but not choking? If someone strangles someone else, do they die, or are they just having a hard time breathing for a period, like choking? It is all very confusing.

“He … had a one-year-old baby. It’s not like he was walking the street committing crimes and doing this,” she said. -- Well Mom, that's exactly what he did though. Exactly!

And this wasn't his first rodeo either it seems:

"Kashaan Parks has two prior public arrests, including for allegedly assaulting a 46-year-old woman in the Bronx "

Seeing the angry mob of people wanting to get their hands on him gave me some degree of hope that New Yorkers are fed up with their city's shitty liberal policies...

I'm curious about whoever filmed the video of it happening though -- didn't any of them think to go to the woman's aid or call the police?

The DA would have a lot of lattitude in choosing what crime’s to charge and that would impact the potential sentence range.

If this was down south he might be facing an attempted murder charge.

But this is ‘special groups’ are not responsible for their crimes New York, so he will get a stern lecture and would have been let out. Since the democrats hate this story and the obvious implication he will likely be held and the system will hold him until after elections then let him out.

Proving my often belabored point... the cops don't protect good people from the evil ones... they protect the evil ones from the wrath of their victims!

We all know who the shitbirds are in our respective communities.... if John Law would stand down, we could return to Mayberry in short order..... makes me think the cops are the bad guys in all of this!

Which, until the various SJW-Entities gained over-riding control of the "Justice system" wasn't how things worked.
I'm in favour of providing rehab/skills&educational upgrading to the convicted except when recidivism is a way of life.

Some people can't/won't adopt corrective plans or strategies. Having been made aware of the societal impact of their actions, refusal to change or even try to after the 1st or 2nd opportunity, an alternative needs to be found.

i.e. if a person is found to be a repeat offender in any violent category and dies in the act of re-offending, why would the homeowner be charged?

Since penal colonies have fallen out of favour, how do we keep society safe safe from such?

To be clear, by society I refer to We, the Taxpaying Public and our families.

Rape, child molestation, burg of a dwelling, etc. Wind chime time!
